Oh wow that would be really cool. I can't wait to crush console peasants.
I love that this week's rotation is about Back to Basics, but fucking hell why did they forget to disable the vehicle classes' weapons in BtB when they gave them to the infantry players last month?
Crossplay would be a good excuse to amp up the playercount
the console guys would be so slow that it'd be like as if they're grunts from Titanfall
Looking forward to seeing Sony not participate again.
maybe EA can use their influence to do something good for once
does BFH still even work? can't get this shit to run at all, it just closes itself after I click launch from battlelog
can I also say, that battlelog is fucking cancer
i actually quite liked it in its evolved later years, bf4 was worlds better than bf3s battlelog, atleast games would quit instantly using battlelog not like the current menu system :]
Playing BF1 with super low latency must be an amazing experience. Jutter-free, bullets traveling in accurate real time, physics not rubberbanding. A man can dream.
When BF1 inevitably goes on a steep sale when V drops, or shortly after, is it still worth getting into? I enjoyed the beta way back but never ended up buying the actual game. How is it today?
I would only recommend BF1 if it's heavily discounted AND bundles all the DLC. Vanilla maps get stale fast.
good luck with decent running servers that run anything but Amiens, Argonne, Suez 24/7
The game and its premium actually go on sale for dirt cheap pretty often, sometimes even as low as 15 bucks which is more than worth it.
I say just get into it just for the fact that a unique game like BF1 where its an arcadey historically authentic high budget WW1 game that's not fucking dead is something that I don't think will pop up again anytime soon in the industry. Just keep in mind that the gameplay is completely different from BF4 especially how there's no gun that can murder everything at all ranges and that each weapon actually has their own proper niche which they fill.
I haven't been following BFV much recently, but for those who have played the closed alpha, are things looking bright?
Maybe. I was in the alpha and the gunplay is solid and there are some design choices that feel really interesting, but in the alpha they didnt quite feel right. Like the squad revive mechanic is neat in concept but in practice it was very finicky and you had to look at the teammate at a certain angle for it to give you the prompt, same with medic revives. Also, with this mechanic people who die now squirm in an odd fashion, and when I was playing it was sometimes difficult to tell what was actually a dead body and what was just a dude laying prone.
I didnt notice the health/ammo scarcity as much, but maybe it was just because of the map and game mode. I feel like it would be more of a factor on larger, conquest oriented maps instead of narrow, rush style charge-into-you-death maps.
I guess overall I want to see a bit more of it in a little more refined state before I really judge it. That being said, Im not happy with the character design and the cosmetic angle. It felt nigh impossible to tell what class someone was at a glance and thats only going to get worse with more layers of customization.
I haven't checked out the servers in NA but the EU has quite a lot of all maps or mixed maps servers, to make full use of the DLC.
Of course the usual Amiens - Fort De Vaux and Suez are always there.
oh, i live in EU my post location just changes with every post cuz its funny to me, im mainly restricted due to the fact i only play hardcore because i absolutely despise the TTK in core, BFV looks miles better in terms of that
It seems like Battlefield V is getting another alpha next week, the pre-load date just appeared on Origin for those who played the first Alpha back in July.

hey buddy, lemme take a minute to explain to you the radical new concept of a "newsletter"...
Yeah but cause EA do it, EA are bad men, the are naughty boys so it's clearly a malicious attempt at getting money off people /s
Every time I use the in-game server browser, I hate how it's UI is somehow worse than balttlelogs
how does the game run in comparison to bf1? i could run bf 1 at highest 60+ fps so should i be fine?
Alpha ran considerably worse for me, with stutter galore and unstable 60-45 fps (overclocked i5 6600k/gtx 970), although it was a technical alpha, this kind of thing is expected.
For the second alpha test build, the only way to get access to it is to acquire a code either through email or giveaway right? Just like the last time?
Does using DX12 make sense in bfv? Using the option in BF1 is only detrimental for me and my friends
Nothing beats testing it out for yourself.
open beta in September
unlikely if its already not much better in bf1 for you, i certainly hope the game starts to utilize the GPU more, i seriously despise playing bf1 and seeing it uses my 1080Ti to like 40% i already turned up resolution scale to get more load on it and it definitely stabilized FPS somewhat but it still stutters like hell on some maps
I just hope they removed the amount of visual noise aka the fucking snow.
Hopefully I can actually mod my weapons. Got really annoyed with having a scope.
