Are enemies meant to be able to eat 30 shots from the SMG to the skull before keeling over or is the hit detection just really, really bad in this patch? Really enjoying it now that it loads faster and doesn't hitch nearly as much as it used to, but getting killed by a stray bullet after expending all 3 of my magazines taking out 4 out of 8 enemies on a mission felt bad.
The new patch includes a new ballistics manager, so take your pick as to whether it's caused by: fucked fps balance fucked hitreg ballistics manager fucked it up server's just lagging while it looks like any of the above three
Im trapped in area 18 on arc corp, the landing service won't let me leave because anytime I get my ship out they immediately claim in blocking a pad and lock it away. Guess i'd better get used to chinese street food
Claim insurance on it, that should fix it.
My buddy and I did a combat airdrop in area 18 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvkQ2GbWgV4 And, My buddy's perspective https://youtu.be/XP0tgydYuWc
https://product.fingertec.com/images/kadex/img/alarm.gif Today is the last day to use $0 CCUs. Tomorrow they will be deleted from the account system permanently. The deadline was actually today but CIG had a ~5-hour downtime this week for platform maintenance so they extended the deadline by 24 hours to make sure nobody got screwed over. CCUs you actually paid cash for are not going anywhere. Also it's another week-long freefly! Entering the promo code unlocks the Dragonfly, Arrow, Cutlass Black, Prospector, and Avenger Titan to try, even for existing backers. There's also a commercial contest happening for the Arrow, conveniently timed with the free test for everyone. https://twitter.com/RobertsSpaceInd/status/1123727892775677952 The 300-series variants are done and in polishing according to the roadmap as of last week, and they're going to be added in a 3.5.x patch so expect to hear about that soon.
Sweet. It's only been a couple of weeks but I miss my 350R already.
Decided I'd try the free week and golly if this game isn't a mesmerizing, buggy trip. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/226138/f7b06b5b-f381-4a8f-8681-2f154d883a86/Squadron 42 - Star Citizen Screenshot 2019.05.02 - 18.45.15.94.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/226138/fbd9c670-7616-49d2-8ebf-892840b79adf/Squadron 42 - Star Citizen Screenshot 2019.05.04 - 06.51.32.90.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/226138/3a8f6972-396c-4f36-84c0-d1aab9b697c1/Squadron 42 - Star Citizen Screenshot 2019.05.03 - 01.03.50.17.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/226138/902e892b-bb21-4f9e-ac42-bff8f297584e/Squadron 42 - Star Citizen Screenshot 2019.05.04 - 06.54.37.61.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/226138/f990ec52-df30-4bec-80d6-edcc79dee003/Squadron 42 - Star Citizen Screenshot 2019.05.04 - 06.51.55.65.png
Redownloaded star citizen to try again since a while. Wisely spend credit to start up Start first mission, got killed because of bug... Exit, delete.
Right now the wisest thing to do to earn credits is to not spend any and earn it with your stock ship. Equipment isn't saved when you claim the ship with insurance, and there are bugs that just kill you at random. Never spend your entire wallet on a single load of cargo because an instance crash means it's gone. However, just an hour or two ago, patch 3.5.1 went to concierge/subscriber PTU, which means it's probably aiming to go live on Friday. This will probably include an economy wipe, giving you back the credits you lost when you blew up, but more importantly it is confirmed that loadout persistence is now going to be a thing, and equipment changes made to your ship will be saved so you will get your ship back instead of a default stock loadout when you claim insurance on your ship. You will not get back what was in the cargo, but you'll keep your equipment so buying ship weapons is actually worth doing now.
3.5.1 is live! Here are the patch notes. This is a smaller patch and, in addition to enhancements to ArcCorp and bugfixes including the bug that makes the restricted-area alarm play constantly, it adds the Origin 300-series variants and the initial pass of advanced ship customization, with the ability to choose the paint job, interior trim and seat/yoke, bedding/cabin accessories, and even initial equopment loadout - some options are an extra cost, and if you don't want to pay for them in cash, in-game customization is in the works so you'll be able to spend (a)UEC on paint jobs and other customization instead of only having the option of cash. PSA: The web customizer is a one-time process for new and existing 300-series ships unless you do a melt and rebuy to reset the customization of the ship. The idea is that you will choose your starting configuration for your pledged 3xx ship on the website and lock in your choices, and then any further customization is done in-game. Customization is reflected on the ship in your My Hangar, showing that CIG's now storing and using this information (this screenshot is from PTU): https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/2304/70c205b7-3b6f-4f27-87d8-9fca0da107b5/image.png The ship customization Q&A is here. The launch of the variants and the customization system means it's time for the Origin Celebration: Until June 13th, all Origin ships are unlocked for all backers to fly in-game, and there is also a screenshot contest for sweet shots of Origin ships and ArcCorp. The prizes for the contest are a 600i, an m50, and an 85x. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDQ8dbE8qSo New ships means a new ship commercial and it makes several shoutouts to the original 300i commercial, but check out what else CIG is teasing here: The Javelin, Idris, Kraken, and Carrack, as well as what looks like their goal for gas giants with spectacular shots of Olisar. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/2304/1b85636b-12b7-4905-9a2b-e767c1df1eab/image.png https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wh1utqhQN8
https://i.imgur.com/NraF8bp.jpg https://i.imgur.com/jwbsPYe.jpg Three of the four PU-roadmap AI tasks were shoved into 3.7 because they evidently won't be done in time. Good progress on gameplay and tech features but I wonder if the transit and law system tasks will be finished in time for public PTU. The 890 Jump could turn out to be not ready in time for 3.6 and necessitate a 3.6.1, but considering it's a biiig boat that's kind of not surprising. Almost half of the SQ42 chapters are ahead of schedule, so that's cool. The Cyndus is finally in production (though it didn't start this week) -- that's the mining spider! Looking ahead, the Javelin, Bengal, and a whole bunch of Vanduul ships (including the Kingship) are coming along well; for now, at least, more tasks can be added at any time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uu9nPeMh6IY
