It kinda died when Garry condensed forums on the old forum and kept TF2 having it's own then re-changed them to "Valve Games".
In other news, for those that have missed it, there is a small teaser for Mars, which for some reason also includes the trailer for Grimstroke. The video itself is already a month old, but it wasn't posted here. Makes me wonder if Mars is going to be a micro-management hero.

ClauAmericano posted the same video (not exact same video, but has both Mars teaser and Grimstroke reveal) a month ago, on page 8.
I doubt Mars is going to have all that much microing to him, I'd expect the soldiers to be something akin to Monkey King's ultimate where they're mostly automatic. Alternatively, he might just resurrect any creeps/units/even heroes temporarily, and the soldiers in the teaser are spartan soldiers because it fits the teaser well.
I hope they go completely to the left and give him a personality no one expects. Like guilty gears Raven or something.
Ive been kinda imagining them in my head as WK's skeletons in that Crumbling Island Arena. They spawn in a horizontal line and then march straight forward.
In some leaked files of his ability icons and models, there was some ability effect with a line of spears set up in a phalanx position. One of the leaked ability names was "Spear Wall" and "Phalanx Cancel".

Like above, could be something similar to Monkey King but it might not be in ultimate form. He could be a fun character.
I'm down with another tanky boi
Yes I guess now's the time of Battle Royales I guess and MOBAs have now just the playerbase which they had 2 years ago and there's nothing that is going to take that playerbase away unless people get bored of the genre MOBA and lack of new content addition can serve the purpose.
What's your point here?
My god, Warlock and Techies is such a no-fun combo. Thank god I wasn't on the receiving end.
Fatal Bonds + Bomb Stack = material for a mike4instance video.
Nothing. Really, it was just something that we were discussing about how the time of MOBAs is coming to an end OR the games are unable to attract more people.
Was playing an extended version of Overthrow with some friends earlier. Perspective isn't mine.

I'm good enough to play along side people who are an entire rank above me, but not good enough to carry people who are an entire rank below me.
Ranked dota at 7 in the morning is tough.
Ranked for me at 1k (how I've fallen) is a real hit and miss.
You either get a good team, you get a match where there's a smurf destroying everyone or get a match where a team has bad carries/throws.
Last match I had, Lina DEMAND she go mid, died 5 times to SS within 7 mins, died another 2 times in 2 minutes after that with SS proceeding to absolutely shit all over us no matter what we did or tried. The zip-zap fat fuck had orchid-blade, bloodstone and linkens within 20mins.
Unless you're way outside of your bracket, ranked is just a series of die rolls that leads to headaches. The last time I tried to climb the ladder I felt like I was playing the role of team therapist.
I'm glad to see things hadn't changed a single bit from my own time in Dota 2

A certain person likes to refer to climbing ranked as a "mental illness simulator" so your therapist bit had me rolling~
Dota Plus is actually useful as far as deciding picks go.
I win more with heroes I usually don't, if ever, play and have been winning more lately then I usually do.
Also helps I've been playing a lot less so I'm not tilted.
Whoops I put the thumnail instead of the actual image:

Feels good that we got this tonight. We've been trying for weeks to find some good players for Battle Cup.

Dota 2 is dying?
More like gradually declining

It feels like any perception of the game dying is partially due to the declining numbers, but mainly the addition of more game modes that further split the player pool. I used to play lots of AR and SD a while ago but I can't stand the 20+min queue times for like minded players anymore. If those modes were the only ones I still played then sure it would feel like a dying game to me.
