"Lifesteal amount is no longer limited by the current HP of the target and uses the full damage you are dealing instead
So if you have spell lifesteal and kill with Axe ult it's a guaranteed full heal?

The description for item multicast says it targets additional enemies, but could it multicast on allies for items like Urn?
And would it use up another charge?
Fuc.. Time to forget everything about dota AGAIN and then relearn it...
I haven't played Dota in over 2 years but I'm about to start it up tonight and I guess I can just blame my lack of skill on "figuring out this patch"
Sd's new soul catcher is some of the most busted shit I've ever seen, that an AM's 50% uptime spell reflect bs.
Please don't nerf my boy too hard Icefrog, he only just got interesting to play again

This patch really shook things up.
The Kaya recipes are nice to finally have in, but I'm waiting for the inevitable Kaya + Aether Lens recipe or something to round off the Heaven's Halberd and Manta Style alternate builds.
KotL is dead, new friend is THE OGRE MAGI (hey, I was gunna say dat!)
I ended up not actually playing the other night because all the changes are a bit intimidating. I'm afraid of getting lost on the map.
Can anyone recommend a hero that hasn't changed much over the years that I could just jump right back into? I can't even rely on Lich's easiness anymore since they just changed him
As far as I know, a fatal Axe's ultimate always deals the exact amount of damage needed to kill. Otherwise blademail would be an easy counter.
at last, dazzle is a top tier hero.

play dazzle while you can boys
>Replaced Spell Shield with Counterspell.
As if AM wasn't fucking annoying to deal with to begin with, now he gets a free linkens+lotus?
Just keep in mind it's not an auto linkens, AM can still be caught out from insta blink hexes and AoE stuns if he's getting too comfortable. If that's impossible with your draft, then bait it out beforehand and try to outplay them. AM isn't the only hero that got buffed this patch, I'm sure there's good counters that can take him late game.
It's really easy to bait it if you have time (like in lane).
You don't need to play if you don't want to. If it isn't fun then you should always consider taking a break.
I tried to pick Dazzle for an ez win but then my team picked all magic damage and the enemy picked Axe so I broke my win prediction streak that had been going since 2016
Barely reading through stuff, but this sticks out..
Brewmaster's new alcohol spray::
[ apply fire element to reset duration & take more DoT damage ]
The following heroes have fire element damage: Dragon Knight, Jakiro, Phoenix, Axe, Doom, Ember Spirit, Brewmaster, Lina, Ogre, Batrider, Wraith King, Clinkz, Invoker, Warlock, Underlord, and Huskar
What about shadow shaman's fire wards? To base an ability's effectiveness on SPECIFIC other heroes isn't the move with how fucking huge dota is? It's an impossible task..
Reminded me of this comic:

Guys, what do you think about the new patch?
It's interesting. But you are a bit late on asking that question, People were already talking about the patch.
Cinder Brew activation mechanic has been reworked. It now ignites anytime a target is dealt 80 spell damage or more, dealing 20/25/30/35 DPS for 3 seconds. (If you activate it while the debuff is already going, it will extend the ignite debuff duration. If activated after the ignite debuff wears out, a new ignite debuff will be added)
Cinder Brew primary buff duration is no longer extended when activated (they are seperate debuffs now).
Level 25 Talent reduced from +200% Drunken Brawler Critical Strike to +175%
O.K. Time to start picking brew again. I really like his changes and he might finally be a "not useless after 20 minutes" type hero..
We can talk a little about 7.20c at least
Agi hero power spikes when buying 2+ Wraith Bands seems to be getting attention, I wouldn't be surprised if the +6 attack speed gets replaced with +2% move speed in the next mini patch.
Brewmaster's Cinder Brew get's ignited by any 80+ magic nuke now instead of fire type special attacks, which is going to be for the better when cosmetics can make the situation very confusing.
Doom's Devour getting a slight nerf is deserved, theres no need to try and find the best creep to eat now so you could get an easy +40 hps regen going (that gets amped). +36 hps is somewhat more fair without nerfing it to oblivion. Tank aura/medic Doom still seems viable though, devour the satyr regen passive with the usual GG boots, Pipe and the new item Holy Locket for massive team sustain.
Icefrog is playing whack-a-mole with Meepo again.
Slardar losing the attack speed talent is very fair, if you don't have an Aeon Disk or team around you then you might as well book a vacation.
Slark is also getting the Meepo treatment, at least the agi steal mechanic from 7.20c seems fair since one auto attack from an ally would mean a lost agi point in 7.20b.
a snickers AD?

Dotka is finaly mеiиstream and reaching the grand heights of mobile phone app ads.
2 matches in a row with a phillipino Skywrath then an Invoker using 1-click macros to spam-cast everything in less then a second.
On the bright side, Dazzle is fun as fuck even more-so with his new ulti + the new Yasha+Kaya and healing amulet.
I've been trying to find a good Treant skill build since he's one of the heroes I use to play a lot and I noticed some of them suggest skipping his heal and maxing invis and leech seed to just punch people out of lane. Is this a serious and commonly viable build?
When I last played a huge amount of his early game impact was in saving allies from across the map and stopping towers from getting destroyed.
So long as you tell the rest of your team in the other lanes to not expect a free heal for being reckless, then yeah I can see that build being really good for heavy lane harass. I say that because that would be the main issue with the build, most players are way too accustomed to having a Treant in their team ready to heal them. If they don't know your build beforehand (or if they think any other kind of build is blasphemous on him) then you'll have to deal with angry teammates too.
Otherwise, his punches still do a lot of damage to squishy supports and the Leach Seed sure does setup early kills, but if you happen to lose the lane you're probably in a worse position than a max Living Armor Treant would be.
Treant is pretty trash tier now that damage resets Guise. Literally any DoT, even OOV, fucks him up. If the other team has a Veno or something just forget it.
