I don't mind Lucioball, but it's getting a bit stale after three years.
There are so many other heroes with interesting mobility abilities.
Junkrat, Genji, Doomfist, Tracer, and especially Wrecking Ball.
Surely they could come up with some events for them (either PvP or PvE or Co-Op)
Attach a leaderboard and voilá.
Maybe people would care about Lucioball if it was actually a gamemode and not something that feels like I made it in Gmod
its pathetic how its been pretty much the same thing over and over for 3 years in a row now, while every other event has had something different at least
Like it's literally a ball in an arena with slightly tweaked abilities. You're still awkwardly kicking around a ball in an arena that's way too big and they haven't even tried to make it a thing that works in an interesting way

What? I made my post because the recent World Cup was in Russia and it would've been predictable if the Lucio ball map was in Russia.
Lucio's mobility isnt even highlighted by the mode. All you do is WASD around and pray you catch up to the ball.
There is barely any wall riding or launching in the mode at all.
something like that could easily be solved if they put more geometry or something in the field - but nah blizz, just keep changing the skybox every year and act like you did something worthwhile
I feel like it’d be an incredible feat to hire an even worse writer than Michael Chu. Unless we live in the worst Overwatch timeline I can only see this as a good development
Do you think in a few years overwatch is going to reboot it's storyline or it will continue making retcons?

Lucioball. But replace Lucio with Reinhardt.
Rein can only use charge on a 2 second cooldown and is able to pin the ball. Add some platforms, walls, and ramps.
Winning formula.
Lucioball is... okay but I just can't enjoy it because of the latency issue with the ball. I've booped it so many times as a goalie to have it go right past me and into the goal, then the replay shows me looking nowhere near the ball.
