i feel like sometimes i don't hear footsteps of those who have loud steps, when they are not even crouching. can anyone relate or am i just getting old
Hell, sometimes I don't hear ultimate announcements when they go off right behind me. Nothing more "fun" than a Rocket Barrage, Spirit Dragon, Earth Shatter, or Rip-Tire out of nowhere.
I've always felt like Pharah's thrusters are a bit too quiet given how much damage she can do with her ult. I can usually hear Reaper walking in a hallway somewhere and expect a Death Blossom, but Pharah can just flutter in and press Q, her audio cues nearly inaudible over the sounds of combat.
Again, not my bag, but whatever.

I agree. Normally I hate funko pops, but some of the more unique designs, like the orisa one, can be pretty nice.
If its another monkey I'm done really, I would have highly preferred the cat jetpack thing.

Hmm. That makes me think. How viable would an Overwatch hero be that can summon and control one or several minions?
Think simple RTS commands like hold position / patrol / defend / attack.
They don't necessarily have to be dogs, they could also be other creatures or simple omnic bots.
... in a universe in which it was established that humanity has been trying to uplift our close relatives, a chimpanzee from the same program is too much for you?
A universe from point one had the teams primary scientist be a gorilla who has invented shields and a device that stabilized the space time continuum for a single person?

I've just lost the ability to be excited for new overwatch heroes because all of the new ones have not really improved the game at all.
Especially the latest one.
Basically the whole thing goes like this.
During the conceptual phase the developers came up with the idea of Winston and a concept for an unnamed "Jetpack cat" hero.
At one point however they realized that the notion of sentient animals waltzing around in Overwatch's world would had been too hard to take seriously, so they kept Winston as the only exception to this rule and axed the "Jetpack cat" completely (althought the concept makes two easter egg-like appearence in Brigitte's promotional materials, refer to the link I posted above).
So the whole point here is this: if you have been telling us for two years that sapient beasts can't appear as heroes in Overwatch period and only now you are going to go back on said rule, why introduce yet another scentifically-enhanced chimp on the same vein as Winston? Why did they not go all the way and developed a different sentient animal for a new hero idea, in order to deliver something fresh?
Who the fuck knows at this point
In a world where japanese weebs can use their edgyness to channel the power of an ancient magical dragon I think talking animals are fine.
Don't forget the ghost man brought to life by miraculous science medicine, and the floating robot with religious powers.

But really though I have no clue as to what this bowling ball thing is gonna be? New hero most definitely but I'm not sure how that would work.
Possibly some sort of specialist hero that thwarts all CQC heroes or balled up groups with an impenetrable armored sphere, instantly killing or knocking down heroes who is directly in its path?
I just assumed it was Hammond using a glorified hamster ball that grants him armor or does damage or something.
