Bri doesnt have a one hit kill ability on TOP of the fucking crowd control abilities
Stun2Kill combos are just as bad as onehitkills imo.
That said Doomfist and Bridget have both made me not care for new heroes
"I know how to counter stuns and CC, add MORE stuns and CC!" ~ Someone at Blizzard
"People really like abilities that take control away from them for as long as possible. Look at how much people loved the Sandman in TF2!"
Moira cant heal through barriers now.
RIP.
BOOOOOOO.
Gotta have barrier spam to make the game fun again.
I gotta say, I am really positive to the new "looking for group" and endorsement system. I was trying it out in comp and joined a group as a tank. So in the middle of the match, and at a critical moment, I completely bungle a Reinhardt ult (as in, I didn´t get a single guy with it) and we lost the round pretty badly. Normally that would probably lead to everybody chewing me out and even possibly even someone ragequitting but not this time.
So, next game I end up being way more communicative on the mic (usually I just call out enemies coming in with ult, asking who wants nano-boosts etc and saying when to push in with Lucio and so on) and we end up winning the match, netting me a shot caller endorsement!
Sure, you may be cynical and say that the endorsement system just makes everyone be "fake nice" but what is important is that I feel that it kept the team together in a situation where the team would normally have melted into a pile of toxicity+encouraged me personally to make up for my mistake in communicating with the team.
My issue with the new group system is that I cant rip the DPS role away from people I queue with if they're under performing.
I feel like endoresements are just going to boil down to extra 150 exp a match.
But hey new Sym is neat.
Sure. These changes started by seeing how far we could push the duration of her Stealth and Translocator abilities. As we pushed them out, it allowed her to play more and more as an scout/infiltrator for your team and also allowed her more time to pick and choose when and where she popped out to ambush her enemies.
So now she has infinite duration on both Stealth and Translocator, but we had to solve a couple problems that were caused by these changes. For one, she needed to be able to destroy the translocator, or it would often be stuck in some place she didn’t want it to be. To that end, you can now destroy it by looking towards it and pressing the Interact key. Also, Stealth giving you 75% bonus movement speed forever was… a bit strong. This bonus has been lowered to 50%. In addition, she can no longer contest objectives while in Stealth, since she that would just be super frustrating with infinite duration.
These changes are really interesting for her as now she is in complete control over when she reveals herself, allow her to time her hacks better for her team, or go for a back line ambush during a critical moment in a team fight.
I guess that was more than a hint.
Sombra rework can we get a hint?
ehhhh
so now the sombras that are literally playing metal gear solid, and im the dumbass guard that can never see snake, will have an even better time hacking me out of nowhere
Don't forget if you manage to find her she can press one singular button and escape to an unkown part of the map instantly.
Fun right?
So...how exactly are we supposed to kill Sombra now? Constantly find her teleporter and camp it until she arrives? It seems like either that or an instakill headshot since every other option results in her fleeing to a safe location and healing.
run around as mei and just constantly M1, TF2 all over again
We went from "no stealth characters" to "a stealth character but you can't completely rely on your cloak to much" to "Somehow more annoying then a spy with a cloak and dagger"
Now that is a stealth hero that is interesting to me. If a stealth character doesn't piss people off, then its not a good stealth character
wouldn't you need a good way to check for sombra? like pyro in tf2?
Considering she can stealh in and teleport out, I dont see the usefulness of spy checking.
Samus and her morph ball confirmed for OW
The Sombra rework does sound incredibly powerful but given how much I like the character, I feel an incredibly large guilty pleasure in anticipating these changes.
Forgive me, for I have become what I hate.
Once again, if you consider your own angle exclusively, then yes, the new Sombra changes are cool and interesting. But as soon as you entertain the possibility that may go up against such a hero, then the whole thing stops being funny and becomes frustrating, which has been a serious issue with Overwatch heroes since release.
And mind you, I'm a stealth aficionado when it comes to videogames.
You basically have to deal with a zero risks-high reward stealth character which, on top of being able to disable your abilities out of nowhere:
Can scout the whole map indefinitely without any fear of retaliation.
As soon as she gets into danger, can press a button to retreat to a safe spot in an instant. On this subject, she can also destroy and reallocate the safe spot to teleport towards at will.
If cornered, isn't too shabby with her SMG either.
Compare, if you will, another multiplayer, team-based FPS character focused on stealth, the spy from Team Fortress 2, who:
Depending on the watch he wears, can either cloack himself for a certain period of time, stay cloacked indefinitely as long as he stands still or feigning his death and get cloacked instantly for a very short duration.
Once he's discovered by enemy players he has very little head-on offensive abilities and tends to get killed most of the time
New update turned my game into a freezy lagfest. Especially on that crappy lunar map. Greeeaat...
Funny how TF2's Spy was only ever given tools to get in, or get out.
Not both.
What if Sombra could not translocate while damage is done to her? That way she still has an escape card, but cannot engage an enemy and then escape. Also, it would give her some dedicated counters (Mei, Winston sort of Zaryia and Symmetra).
Oh crap that one guy was right. Hammond was a hamster.
...i'm sorry, what
If you told me the next hero would be a friggin' hamster, I would have laughed you off the forums. Wow. Blizzard blindsided me with this one.
ha what
So what are we expecting? More shields or more stuns?
