Have you seen anyone calling people out for not having endorsements already? I don't agree that there's a stigma at all, at least not yet.
For your first point, the endorsement level resets when you are suspended. It's highly unlikely that a toxic person receives a high endorsement level (considering how many endorsements it takes), so there's definitely some filtering happening through the system. I hope that one day multiplayer videogame developers everywhere will realize that given the instruments to control/"breed" a given community to the community itself is not a good idea Research disagrees with you.
Well, I've finally purchased my very own copy of Overwatch. I only ever played on my friends Xbox back before the first summer games and to now to cement myself as the worst Mei player in history.
I'm just glad Tanks are finally going to be fun to play now that we have Wrecking Ball. I'm not actually going to tank or anything, but dedicate my time to spinning around in one part of the map
As a tank main that was super disappointed with Orisa, Wrecking Ball has gotten me addicted to the game all over again. It's everything I wanted in an Overwatch tank: Hit-scan Physics based mobility Area denial Actually feeds off of aggro
Now the problem is Wrecking Ball is the only fun hero in the game
I disagree. As far as I'm concerned the individual contribution to a given play to his/her team victory is very different than the quality of his/her behaviour. In my experience I've met unbeliveably skilled players who helped win watches whom nevertheless I'd had liked to phisically beat up as well as, on the other side of the spectrum, unskilled cupcakes who costed me the given match but nevertheless were sorry and sporting about it. I think I'm going to give my Overwatch commendations to the players I'll meet who will keep their head during a turn of bad luck in the given match
I hope rein gets a buff sometime soon because he feels like he's only useful on payload maps.
I seriously doubt buffing Reinhardt is a good idea when his synergies with Zarya pushed him right back up to being the most picked character for a good while now. 76, McCree and Mei's upcoming buffs also pose a sizeable threat to Pharah, which is one of his biggest counters.
Hammond seems to be really strong against him. Actually, pretty much every character does lmao
Considering Rein is a CC spamming mess himself with Pinning, Earth Shatter and his hammer I feel like he doesn't really deserve CC immunity. Especially when Earth shatter is one of the biggest reasons Orisa will never be viable as a "rein alternative"
So having had a chance or two to play the Hamster (not very good with him but I'm shit so ), my thoughts: Pros: He's cool. He's fun. He's functional He's not fucking broken Cons: He sneezes and that is NOT fair His voice lines are kind of low, makes it hard to hear what they're saying. Honestly it's good to see that there's something new that Blizzard can add without it being what amounts to power-creep.
going by hog, expect it to never be fixed and all future lines to be equally as quiet
I enjoy that Hammond requires extra functional skill in order to actually reach higher mobility potential. While the hamster ball itself moves 50% faster than his standard form, your only offensive outlet is to ram into them at full speed which only possible with proper utilisation of the latch grapple. I believe the knockup effect he has upon using piledriver does NOT 'stun' enemies, rather it just throws them upward. Even then, that requires a significant distance between you and the ground and simply jumping won't put you high enough for that (unless you jump to a lowered platform, of course) which further incentivises proper grappling latch usage and rewards players for that. It's even on a not-long-but-not-short-either cooldown. The way Hammond's abilities synergise and how it rewards players for proper utilisation is very good, and I like it a lot. The adaptive shield is a little mindless to use though. It personally feels a little slapped on to me, but I can see its necessity. It might need some tuning, as reaching a potential health pool of 1000 simply by diving without need for heath boosts from other players does seem a bit too powerful, at least on paper.
Sure you can go for money shield-ups with Hammond, but from my experience, unless you have an actual plan, the enemy team might just melt right through it anyway. Using it to get OUT, rather than getting in or sustaining, seems to be a bit more reliable. Go on a huge flank, get one or two kills, shield up when they turn to fight back, roll through them back to your team for healing so you can do it again.
It throws them upwards and towards the center of the impact zone, kind of like seismic slam.
Escaping is definitely how it should be mostly used, although I think the shield shines best when used as a safety net for seeking aggro in a brawl without having to sacrifice health or feed ult charge.
I do like the fact they made it not give ult charge. Hoping they give that sort of design to the other tanks.
I mean technically all tanks are like that already.
tfw when you run into an facepuncher at 6 in the morning in QP
Roadhog and D.Va feed way too much in the current meta game to be viable.
Roadhog is in a better spot now that his heal gives him damage reduction, but yeah.
I was really skeptical at first but I've noticed an increase in match quality with the endorsement system. I'm sure htis is temporary but I actually had fun playing the game during my placements.
I got 10/10 wins on my placements which I can't remember ever doing. the new system is good.
Kinda pointless making the 3v3 thing "group only".
5/5 wins/losses, and one of those wins was because the enemy Mercy was tilted to the point that they just ran straight into us to die/feed. Still managed to place 2390 though, not great but manageable.

Give the Overwatch writers some time
