Killing Floor V11 - Upgrade to make your 9mm stronger than a 12G shotgun

Seeker 6 is generally a good weapon to use against pretty much everything really, doesn't hit as hard as some other weapons but I think the DPS is decent enough, C4 can be fun to use provided to stick it on something then leg it.
Can you equip an M79, M16 M203 and C4? I can't remember, if you can then that'd be a good combo.
Ignoring what above said about M79 + RPG-7 being "boring", it gets the job done really well, there's a reason why people go for it as much as they do.
I'm not sure if this was ever posted, but if anyone here creates maps for KF2 or is looking to give it a try, there's a mapping contest underway. I've posted the contest page below if anyone wants to give it a shot.
NEW GROUNDS Mapping Contest
About that 3 weapon combo, yeah, you can run that, maybe i'll try that sometime.
I said boring to M79 + RPG not because its, say, exactly boring, its really trivial. I've used this combo for long myself and i agree about doing the job well. The thing is, i wanted to shake things around a bit by trying another combos to see what sticks.
The Thompson feels really bad when hip firing. I don't know if it's because it's a dual weapon with the commando and swat. Commando his recoil bonus that fixes it a bit, but with the SWAT class, it quickly out runs your control compared to the other SMGs.
I know what you were getting at, going into a game, going through the same weapon progression and ending with the same weapons everytime, it depends on how serious of a game you're having though, if it's not that serious, it doesn't matter, but if it is, that combo is one of the best choices.
I just hope they dont balance weapons around the existing skill choices. They need a good old revamp to keep the game fresh.
Pretty much. I mean, you can cut through swaths of small zeds, especially with the parry bonus perk. But large zeds go down quite easily. Here's a video I saw of a guy testing out the battleaxe and using some attack combos and such. 2 hits a scrake at one point.

How many people though are landing headshots with melee weapon that well though?
Ammo count is supposed to be the counterpoint to using only one powerful weapon. You can use the Doomstick by itself, and one-shot 3 clots with every mouse click, but you're gonna be out of ammo before the wave is over and then you'll be running around looking for ammo like a nonce
Also Demo is designed to only be taking down large crowds of zeds and protecting their teammates while they clean rooms, otherwise their explosion smoke and knocking all the zeds around is a huge detriment to the team
Also also it isn't hard to hit headshots with melee weapons. It's literally just about getting used to where you have to aim, like literally every other form of aiming
Hi, I'm ZEF and I hit headshots with melee very well
The Battle Axe is fine the way it is.
Yes, and it goes first round in the crotch, 2nd round in the upper chest, and the rest sailing away over head. The other SMGs are pointable streams when hipfiring compared to the Thompson.
Part of me thinks tommy gun ended up being underwhelming because they were afraid of another FAL incident since it cross perks with commando.
I really think they should just get rid of the cross perk and keep it swat only. Commando's had plenty of toys recently, and Hollow Point Rounds is too strong to balance around.
I definitely never thought of the thompson as anything but an SMG. I don't think it should be on commando either. Could use a higher fire rate.
It's crossperk because it was a Commando weapon in KF1
what it means is that commando needs a nerf
I mean it's even called a Thompson Submachine Gun.
If you even look at Commando's weapons, it makes no sense for it to even be a cross-perk weapon, the Commando has one LMG while the rest are either Assault Rifles or Battle Rifles, it make no sense, I don't know what Tripwire were thinking by having it be a cross-perk with Commando, they're basically just forcing it.
Making the Thompson SWAT exclusive isn't going to make me play SWAT. Easily one of the most boring classes to play next to Firebug.
Thompson feels really weird, it has an ok damage, even when not-upgraded, but the ammo pool+the recoil+the slow fire rate makes it a really boring gun to use as the SWAT
Does anybody else get a little annoyed that for demolitions, impact damage seems to be far more than explosive direct hit damage?
I just think it's kinda stupid and annoying at times. I'm not saying that shooting a scrake or fleshpound point blank with an undetonated warhead or explosive shell shouldn't hurt,
but I just don't think perks should be favoring that sort of attack method. Demolitions should be about dealing explosive damage, not getting up close and using it like a shotgun. And I just find it a little
bit of a stretch non-explosive headshot damage seems to do more than explosive headshot damage.
I just dislike how it seems like when you're dealing with the game on a higher difficulty, you really do have to go up to a big zed and deal impact damage for an effective takedown on certain weapons, otherwise you better hope you can just generic spam. And I can't even really tell if aiming for the head does extra damage on explosive damage sometimes.
most likely done to balance against commando getting hollow point rounds, which reduces recoil and increases damage. Most of the bad things about the gun can be chalked up to them trying to balance it for 2 perks.
Alright, big woop, but it should be a SWAT exclusive.
That right? Weird that it seems to feel that way. Must either be an accuracy or falloff thing then.
Would've been neat if they gave commando and swat different models of the Thompson. There's quite a few different kind with varying RPM, barrel length, magazines, grips & sights, etc.
Now that I think of it, giving crossperk weapons different attachments based on the perk it's being used with would be neat.
It doesn't. That's also why the pulverizer is pretty bad.
Did you just make a fucking suggestion that would require more work???? ARE YOU NOT SATISFIED ALREADY?!?!?!
you can use whatever you want on anything below suicidal.
when you start playing suicidal+ you usually go deagle + rpg (+upgrade) + c4
It's accuracy. you're dealing with projectiles after all, so chances are it'll hit the body hitbox before the head hitbox (keep in mind the explosion will deal body damage regardless of if you hit the head or not, while the impact will damage the head)
Coupled with some delay on latency, yeah, you're probably right.
swat is fun as hell in solo because you can kill scrakes so easily
just one grenade and focus fire on their heads for a few seconds
