Killing Floor V11 - Upgrade to make your 9mm stronger than a 12G shotgun

In case anyone was wondering about the survivalist changes, they pretty much confirmed it's going to remain a shitty jack of all trades.
i knew it
i knew it all along
A summary of the TWI AMAA responses (at least the subreddit one).
I'd avoid the comment section unless you despise TWI and want to continue the hate, because almost every response is "fuck TWI there's so much they have to fix that is easy even though they say it's hard. They're fucking idiots"
kinda does feel like things are slowing down for KF2, development akin to late life KF1.
If we can expect KF3 new in a year or two, I won't be too upset.
Of course, if man hours are going to that stupid shark game, I'm gonna be pretty disappointed.
Killing Floor 3 on Unreal Engine 4? I'm really not against that one at all.
Gimme.
Just give us better animations, I fucking hate the running animations in KF2
Hopefully if a KF3 ever does happen, the team will be experienced enough to make a much more flexible game in terms of everything everybody wants, so we don't have another "sorry but that's almost impossible to implement in the game currently" situation for minor things like a cosmetic preview system.
You mean dog shit excuses for laziness, it's Unreal Engine 3, if they tell us they can't implement it, I'm pretty sure that's self made roadblocks and not some engine limitation.
I don't think "hate" is the right word, but whatever you want to call it, I don't think it's unjustified considering them saying they had no plans to work on just about everything the community was interested in.
Feels like we got only a fraction of the content we had in late KF1
Honestly I remember back when the game was barely out of early access and every other post in the KF threads was something about the game not having enough content, and lack of updates. There's been a lot of times in this games life cycle where a disconnect between TWI and players happened.
And it's been kinda lame because the fanbase has shared a lot of creative ways to rebalance/add to the game but TWI always just kinda responds "nahhhhh" or not at all.
I'm still salty that they added microtransactions in a $40 game.
seems about the same tbh. Major updates in KF1 pretty much just boiled down to new weapons and new map.
I haven't sincerely played KF2 since Summer 2017 but honestly my largest issue with the game is that they kept adding more extraneous content and not focusing on core content or perks, which drove me away from it. The last time I remember playing, that fucking bloat boss was the absolute worst thing I had ever encountered in a video game just because it was complete and utter bollocks.
I'm also still very mad about how the Patriarch was back then. They might have changed it now, but back then he was scripted to run away and do his heals. You could, theoretically, catch him, but in reality you would never catch him before he could heal every time he ran off, so you couldn't one-heal him like in KF1, which to me felt way too telegraphed and meant every Patriarch wave was legitimately like 'oh for fuck's sake'.
KF2 patty is way easier to kill before first heal compared to KF1 patty.
Freeze nades/freeze thrower, slow down, firebug stumble, Railgun, C4 stacking are all viable ways to kill him before he can heal.
He's probably the second easiest boss besides King FP.
I'd appreciate if you don't assume my beliefs. I completely understand and, to a point, agree with a lot of the major complaints. The skill trees are awful and the game would be better off with them gone, nevermind reworking them. Microtransactions in a full release is pathetic and penny-pitching, and it's so poorly implemented that there's really no excuse. The boss balance is far from perfect. The lootbox shit is unforgivable. TWI themselves are annoyingly distant from the community, as represented by the AMA.
But at the end of the day, i still enjoy the game. I still can have fun with it. The skill trees won't ever not bug me, but them aside i still enjoy trying to level up and prestige my skills. I enjoy joining a server of 5 other dudes and having a blast for anywhere from 10 minutes to hours. At the end of the day, i'm getting my value out of the game. I already have gotten my value out of both games.
Don't think i'm some sheeple letting myself be herded either. I've been around for long enough to experience, firsthand, games i love die, because of dumbass incompetent devs or extraneous circumstances. I'm still around for TF2, and I've been through games like Overwatch and Rocket League, that are way more popular and successful than KF2, but are treated even worse. I'm fully aware of the difference between competent and incompetent devs. I'm not saying "be grateful we even get updates", just that i'm more informed about game cycles than you may think.
You know they need to make enough money to justify continuing support right?
IIRC, it was a straight-up promise that there wouldn't be microtransactions.
How come everyone acted like microtransactions came out of the blue, anyway? The mere presence of a cosmetic loadout menu and purchasable skin bundles was a dead giveaway from the start.
There were microtransactions in the first game too, and there isn't anything inherently wrong with cosmetic microtransactions in the first place.
If KF3 has MTX, can we get someone who actually can design things that don't look like random models they found hardly rigged to the characters?
...Also get someone who can actually design new zeds to make the variants, just slapping metal bits to existing zeds looks so pathetically bad
If we do get a KF3 and it has a community workshop can they not accept items like this
https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/416937162156442733/723521BE16CB95A4C5FD8ED9B63662E5C4A68734/
or any number of the neon skins they added
also don't make alternate colors for cosmetics separate items
I kind of regret buying Killing Floor 2 tbh.
I think I preferred the KF1 style of microtransactions, which were just new skins.
So many of the cosmetics in KF2 are just weird metal/neon face masks. If there were some more tactical/militaristic themes I might be more interested.
I've actually played KF2 significantly longer than 1 but the only thing that really interests me now is the 40 players severs, but even those are hard to stomach due to the ludicrous health scaling which apparently caps at 134 players.
There's coffee in that nebula.
Honestly I feel like early access KF2 was more enjoyable for me than the release era KF2 purely because they were focused on mechanical functionality rather than features, but I might honestly be overreacting.
and game changing weapons. Flare revolvers, the best weapon in the game were locked behind a paid bundle.
I find it annoyingly ironic that the most fun weapons in kf1 (seal sqeal, flare revolvers, buzzsaw bow, orca gl, scythe, dwarfs!?! Axe, zed gun, etc) were all locked behind either dlc mtx or stupidly complex unlock methods. When i saw dudes rocking the grim reaper skin and playing level 6 zerk with the scythe, i was legitimately super jealous.
Also, neon weapon skins are fine imo. The cosmetics all kind of suck, but character cosmetics have never really been impprtant to me.
kevlar helmet and blue ski/gs9 mask are all you ever need
prove me wrong
