Killing Floor V11 - Upgrade to make your 9mm stronger than a 12G shotgun

I throw guns at people, I don't do that amateur shit of placing it on the floor, fuck Human RNG.
I've found that most people will give back your weapon if you ask over voice chat once the round has finished. Although there was this one time where my friend asked a guy for his weapon back and he was being an ass about it. I started a votekick then he just left.
So I just prestiged for the first time, on Medic, what difficulty do you think I should start at? Is Suicidal even viable for a lvl 0 medic?
hell on earth or bust
i bought this game a few months ago but still haven't been able to play it. it stops responding when it's loading up and i've only ever gotten ingame once.
But that's too hard.
It's RNG whether you'll win or lose in solo imo.
Are you sire its crashing or are you just not waiting long enough? KF2 has a notoriously long initial load. Takes about 8 minutes on my hdd.
Seems crazy that's still a thing, I vaguely remember being told it's because it's loading all the character and cosmetics assets to make in-game loads shorter but it still seems insane
nope deleted the kf2 folder in the my games folder and now it works fine. i'm guessing it takes a bit of playing to get into kf2 coming from the first game.
So for someone who hasn't played since last year, how does leveling up work? If I play SWAT and level up the MP7 instead of buying a new gun, will it be Vector tier, or will it always be inferior?
The damage stats do not help because according to those, the upgrade only adds like 1 damage, and I doubt that's the case.
Each weapon has it's own damage upgrade tiers.
Here's a comparison of MP7 Vs. Vector, in it's tiers as a level 25 Swat:
MP7 Vector
Tier 1: 20 (x1.0) N/A
Tier 2: 28(x1.4) N/A
Tier 3: 35(x1.8) N/A
Tier 4: 41(x2.1) 41(x1.0)
Tier 5: 45(x2.3) 46(x1.15)
Price: 3,300 3,000
So, they are generally about the same once they get to the same tiers, yet the T5 MP7 is about 300 more expensive, ontop of having a smaller ammo count.
God upgrades are fucking shit.
Lol. Upgrade your favorite weapon so you can use it all game! Still gimping yourself big time though.
They really didn't put enough time into those numbers at all. One community member could find appropriate damage numbers in one afternoon but TW has months to do this and fudges it. It's like they don't understand/play their own game...
Yeah the numbers for the upgrades are completely wack. Low tier weapons actually get noticeable boosts where some can do even 2x the damage they started out with, but you pay out your ass to get there. You'd be much better off just buying a high tier weapon instead. The high tier weapons that already do good damage get pathetic 10-15% extra on top and you pay shitloads of dosh for that. I haven't done any extensive testing to check out all the weapons, but I imagine many of those upgrades are practically useless as they don't hit any important breakpoints.
The price/effect ratio for the upgrades is not balanced at all. It's like they decided on fixed pricepoints for the upgrades in advance, and the only consideration from there on was that the upgraded versions shouldn't be overpowered. Hence the weak any stupidly expensive upgrades we have now. Way to miss the entire point that they themselves came up with.
I'm just hoping their rework of the upgrades is substantial enough to make it worthwhile, increase ammo count, DON'T FUCKING INCREASE WEIGHT, for the love of god, increasing weight makes anything fucking useless, I mean why add +1 - +2 weight to a gun when I can just not, most of the time I can't anyway, I was playing as a Medic in a 10 wave Suicidal game last night and I wanted to upgrade my Assault Rifle (for whatever reason I dunno) but couldn't because I had a Hemogoblin.
I've been enjoying the upgrade system.
Gives my main weapon a little boost in the later waves, makes my back up weapon more viable in the later waves and of course gives me something to spend all the late game excess dosh on.
The increase in weight is annoying, especially if you find you can't purchase or upgrade a weapon you want because you upgraded a different weapon earlier.
More variety than just a straight damage boost would be cool too.
My main issue with the upgrade system is it already makes the "meta" weapons even better, and doesn't really change much for the worse weapons.
AK12 and Med Rifle is still Commando's meta loadout, and the upgrades just make it even better. (seriously, T5 AK12 is insane)
HX25 stats are interesting
When its tier is equal to the M79's, it does more damage , has more ammo and the ammo is cheaper, reloads faster and has no minimum range and no self-damage, the only downside is smaller explosions.
Feels like it's just an all-around better gun until you can afford to take the RPG.
Yeah, HX25 has always been surprisingly good, especially now that reload cancelling is back, it's basically a pocket nuke on demand.
I just dont know why they deicded to throw in another gimped feature in the game when they could have vastly improved perks and have the game be so much more indepth.
Summer Sideshow is now over, and the wait for halloween begins.
The zeds better be as cool as Hillbilly Horror or I riot
I really wish upgrades had visual changes, but then again, given the 'effort' they put into variants, probably shouldn't
At the very least I feel they could’ve given the upgraded weapon’s sounds a facelift. Having a fully upgraded 9MM sounding as chunky as KF1’s would have done wonders to a feeling of actual progression to the weapon’s power.

The 9mm in the first one might sound more punch but besides the bass, it sounds shite, if Killing Floor 2's 9mm had some bass, it'd be miles better.
Apparently whichever weapons don't win the latest poll won't be in the next one. Don't know how I feel about that.
RiP Fire axe then.
They posted some concept art for some halloween zeds

I hope it just means that they will produce them anyway but not as a priority and change the options from the poll for more variety
Little Shop of Horrors crawler and a Nosferatu clot. Makes me think this year will be inspired by horror movies. Fingers crossed for a slasher themed Scrake or Gorefast.
