They are making an overhaul for the upgrade system that should (hopefully) be out by the halloween update As for the testmap guy, he's actually hated the game for a while now, and the upgrade/edar update was the straw that broke the camel's back
They could do what the TF2 team does with MvM Upgrades and update nothing to the weapons .
Assuming that they even reanimate it for the case. Could just do it the Payday 2 route and just make it a cosmetic change on the model while not actually using it or interacting with it differently.
hmmm looks like the STG44 is missing a foregrip and reflex sight
I kinda miss how gritty and filthy the first KF was. Made it feel like the world had gone to hell and no one was able to fix it. There was a feeling of impending dread as hordes of mindless monsters rushed towards you. KF2 feels too clean and sterile, like Horzine technology is too futuristic. It used to feel more utilitarian, where the function came first and looks came second.
Having what they did just in beta to get a feel for it woulda been fine but it is not a full feature lmao
The SteamDB page has listed some of the upcoming event items, new vault Tier 3 weapon skins, prestige skins for Tier 1 weapons and a headshot bundle.
oh nice can we expect a beta in a couple of weeks then, probably mid-august
The upgrade system legit feels like a mod that was hastily slotted in.
Oh lookie here: item icons for Halloween! https://imgur.com/a/YisZCD4
Well, at least from the icons some of the skins doesn't seem to be so glossy or the golden texture looking like it was a spray painted, especially in the metals. Also the Loco masks are interesting
I'm kinda sick of gold. Just give me stuff covered in rust or battle damage.

I just want a damn black and gold skin for the Zwei that isn't this overpriced thing. They keep adding Vosh skins for all the Zerker weapons that are trash and I won't use.
Considering their hilarious track record with cosmetics, don't get your hopes up. Seriously I'm almost positive they just hastily make models and then like, automatically rig them, they all look out of place and don't fit the models properly. It's so bizarre, I've never seen a game with cosmetics that look so foreign on the characters.

How do you play gunslinger well? What sorta perks do you use and what playstyle? When I'm playing suicidal and I've got a team of atleast 3 people I seem to be doing well, but when it's just me or less I find it so hard to balance running around, aiming and reloading.
You know what? I actually like that little fella. He needs his own character arc and spin off game and at least a plush.
Use MMB with dual pistols for a non-ironsight zoom and get used to aiming for at least the upper torso for headshots. And for reloading, just keep a bunch of pistols on you to switch between and reload when you can.
So when you have more money than you can spend, what's your final setup? Like, Magnum+AF2011 or Magnum+Deagle+?? or what? I do use the non-ironsight 99% of the time I play and I'm not terrible at aiming, but I do maybe not utilize switching weapons and reloading only when I can often enough.
thanks for the new avatar
From the top of my head the meta skills are: Quick draw Rack 'em up Speedloader That one zedtime perk that lets you shoot in real-time Skullcracker Also, you really want to get reload canceling timing down. As for weapons - I usually take .500 magnums, desert eagles, single AF2011 and single M1911. The 1911 is my main weapon most of the time, I use that to take down small to medium zeds when there isn't as much panic, AF2011 when there's a little more panic, desert eagles when shit is going haywire and .500 magnums when a scrake needs to fuck right off. They're still good weapons to take down fleshpounds too, skullcracker lets you put a nice bit of distance between you and them. A gunslinger is surprisingly good at keeping FP's at bay thanks to your mobility alone.
What gubslinger lacks in mag size and reload speed he makes up for in positioning and burst damage. Choose the perks the above poster mentioned and always be on the move.
Dang those are some great tips, thanks. Also I never really considered the upgrades, are they worth it over simply getting better guns?
The upgrade system is kinda janky atm. Lower tier guns upgrade a lot better than higher tier weapons. With thst being said you should expect a tier 4 starting weapon to perform on par to a native tier 4 gun. Honestly it comes down to preference. Just make sure whatever loadout youre using works for the wave, ie dont sell everything to have a single .500 magnum with half ammo on wave 2. With most classes youll want minimum a gun for trash and a gun for big zeds/large damage output.
So does Bob.

Well their art department is certainly getting their money's worth, really nice work. Just a game the game design area is lacking.
