Hey @chipsnapper spot the difference:

All the materials I didn't want to keep are in Fulcrum's fort.
This new forum shit. This is my old account: 64fanatic
Uh, I guess it'll merge eventually. Can I get a whitelest? I'm in a minecraft mood.
I'm Whuttabutta ingame.
Hello, whitelist please. In game name is Chipset31
So 1.13 is finally out. How long til the mods are updated and we can all go swimming?
Well we would need a new map to generate all the 1.13 oceans.
Why not just regenerate uninhabited ocean chunks
Of course it has to come out while I'm really busy.
I'll be exploring options as soon as I can. The two options I have are: delete portions of the map to regen oceans AND/OR expand borders. I'll start working on it as soon as tomorrow.
Hmmm I might come back sometime and finally finish off that giant Prismarine grinder now it's actually a useful resource.
If it's possible as you said you could try deleting/reloading some areas, failing that expanding the borders could be a good option. Depends on what people are looking to do.
Showerthought: If you can make irregular shaped borders:
Once the server is updated to 1.13, build a two way teleport, one end in spawn, and the other at [10000,0]. Then set a second 10x10km square centred on the exit as buildable space.
New terrain, no ugly seams, easy to get to, and on the same server.
I vote for regenerating unexplored and unused parts of the map.
The server is already gigantic, extending the borders to get the new ocean stuff will just make it extra tedious to reach, even through nether travel.
Thanks. I’ll be on again once COMCAST can decide whether or not my internet will be stable enough.
Is there anything the server can do to reduce lag pollution? I can't do anything more than small auto mining operations due to it
We actually NEED to do this. We lost the Jungle Mansion due to a chunk error.
I'm back btw. Gonna hop on tonight and finish up my tower in Spawn.
Is it even possible to successfully regenerate areas of the map? I believe coral reefs are going to be rather rare.
The world edit plugin has a regeneration tool. You could also delete some chunks in mcedit and change the map generation type to the newest one
The world edit regen seems to not work very well. I'm going with the latter.
Jumped on and topped out the building. Also added some glass.
My next big project is gonna be extending the mainline railroad to beyond Wildeholt. Has anyone else noticed how fast these things are now?
Thanks to this plugin https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/easycarts.3941/
Will this update the dynamic map automatically or will people have to re-explore areas to load them in?
I wouldn't mind my island fort getting wiped if it meant we could have reefs near chipper snappers island (the sea south of spawn)
Not sure if it will.
I may not touch that ocean because of how much is built in and around it.
Come back to us Fulcrum!
I've finished all of the exterior of the building, with the WaWa signage up and everything
Ghostguy1240 said he might build a Sheetz if anyone is interested and/or mentally impaired enough to prefer it
So what kind of contingency plan do we have if the forum goes down?
Discord ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Placing Minecraft signs at spawn.
This.
Good news! The server has been updated to 1.13.2 and the world border has been increased to 10,000.
Bad news! Cutting parts out of the map was not an option. MCedit is a pile of shit. Time to do some terraforming on those edges I guess.
Another thing: Spigot still isn't in a completely stable phase, but in a better one than it was. There shouldn't be any issues, but if there are, let me know.
