Man the new Tekken menu is silk, but I don't have the funds right now to get Lei, so I'm waiting until I can get him.
Here's another dump of underappreciated fan remixes to liven things up, because if there is one thing that pumps up a battle, it's great music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31w3TzoodUo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfZUnyxmFLU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJQgIl9b0ys Killer Instinct - Spinal Theme King of Fighters 2000 - Terry 115 King of Fighters '96: -Trash Head (Theme of Goenitz) Character Medley (Street Fighter 3: 2nd Impact) Street Fighter Alpha 3 - Simple Rating (Theme of Karin) Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike - The Theme of Q Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike - Twilight (Theme of Ibuki) Psylocke Medley (X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse / Marvel Super Heroes) Marvel vs Capcom 2: Clock Tower Also, for the heck of it because of SoR hype and Beat Em Ups and Fighters have some overlap and SOR4 hype: Streets of Rage: Attack of the Barbarian Streets of Rage 2: Expander Streets of Rage 3: Cycle I / Fuze Guile's Theme / Back to the Industry (Streets of Rage 2 style series fusion)
He is so cake.

Yoshinoro Ono is no longer head of the division that houses Capc.. Ono is out of the fighting game division at Capcom, now replaced by some Monster Hunter guy
I already have a bad feeling about this. Like, how Capcom is going to take a turn for the worse.
After SFV and MvC:I I'd be shocked if they could get worse
yea i love ono because of his personality but capcom fighters really need a change of direction right now
You see, the Eventhubs newsflash doesn't specify who it is Ono be replaced with, it just states "some guy". "Some MH guy", to be exact. So, there's chances of this happening.
That would be the some guy who made the most profitable title in Capcom history, also the son of the current ceo.
... Eventhubs literally said Ryozo Tsujimoto, producer of MH.
...oh well. I think I need to actually start reading newsflashes.
I'm seeing this as being either potentially good, or nothing really changing at all. If Tsujimoto is just a god at generating sales somehow (meaning MHW's success isn't just because it's a MH game), then I could see the next game potentially picking up the slack that SFV created. Keep in mind that I said "next game", because at this point, I think SFV has such a damaged reputation to the casual market that it's going to be extremely hard to recover from it. Capcom would need a clear break that a SF6 would signify, so they can actually have an opportunity to say "Ok, we're going to do this shit right this time." As for not really changing at all, well, look at the market of fighting games right now. It's a completely different climate now than it was a few years back. Capcom used to dominate the scene with Street Fighter and Marvel, but now tourneys like EVO are getting higher numbers and more interest in games developed and published by Bandai Namco or Arc System Works. The holes that Capcom have dug regarding SFV and Marvel Infinite are being filled by games like DBFZ, Tekken 7, and GGXrd, not to mention Soul Calibur VI is just around the corner. The only game of note that Capcom has at tourneys these days is just SFV, and the numbers and interest for it continue to dwindle as more issues crop up.
I saw a good take on the whole Ono switch. It will only mean something for the production and PR of the game, the battle team is still the same dudes. So we might get some wilder stuff like more crossover costumes in the future, but the gameplay will probably follow its current trend.

AHHH MY FAVORITE FIGHTING GAME SERIES IS REVIVED, AHHHH https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FKoZb1sv64
Sucks that I can't view player base by region, +3000 people playing Tekken 7 on PC and I rarely find a match in South America.
After seeing this character do work in a tournament, I'd be fine never seeing him again lol.
all i want capcom to do is make another jojo or vsav fighting game.
ASB holds a special place in my heart.
I wouldn't trust modern capcom to handle Darkstalkers. ALSO Shovel Knight is out for Rivals today, and everything is on sale for 50% off. I'd really recommend it
That being said, I wonder what - if any - changes might crop up now that Tsujimoto is at the helm instead of Ono.
I will never get good using Lei but damn I can't resist goof around playing as him. https://i.imgur.com/J29Rghm.png
I've never gotten close to competent with anyone but Lei has been a blast to play. I haven't had this much fun being this bad since I first picked up Yoshi.
I want to get the new Tekken but the DLC model is bothering... Like, they straight up lied about returning characters being free.
I feel like my Lei is decent, until I vs a rush down char and now I can't press any buttons. Like master raven, everything never seems to end and all her moves are filled with middles and low, so going on the ground is hard.
