Is the Hori Real Arcade Pro 4 a good fightstick. Getting back into Tekken and want to get ready for SC6, but this damn ps4 controller really hurts my hands when I play fighting games on it.
I hope DBZF season 2 has some selectable supers. While they knocked it out of the park for a bunch, there are some level 3 supers that would barely pass as a level 1
I don't have one myself yet (might pawn one off a friend soon) but I've seen many call the rap4 a quality, standard stick.
RAP4 is a mixed bag, and like from 5 RAP4 owners here in my locals, most have had problems with the stick being way too sensitive and bad in other ways. I'd recommend getting a stick with more premium parts than the HORI roll-the-dice quality ones.
Would looking on ebay yield good results, or would I get screwed over where someone just sends me the case and none of the guts?
Ebay would be a solid bet. Lotta people try to jump headfirst into an arcade stick, see they suck with it, and instantly try to sell it off. Just make sure to check the rep of the seller, but either way if you get conned Ebay and Paypal will help you out.
It's also a nice stick from what I've played. My local arcade has them on its setups and they feel great.
At that pricepoint, consider getting a Qanba Obsidian

Costs just a bit more but it's probably one of the best fightstick you'll ever have. It's full sanwa, has a PS4 touchpad, leds, mic jack, it's compatible with PS3- PS4 - PC and overall feels super solid.
So I've had my eyes on Tekken 7 for a while, keeping an eye on the price but been slacking a bit. Checking around, I see that the Humble Store has the Delux Edition for £15 and I'm thinking it's a steal for all the content.
But I am a wary consumer, I check the Steam page.
Season Pass 2.
I hate modern gaming.
If you don't want Anna or Lei just don't buy it then.
But yeah it was a shit move by them.
I want the whole game, not what they felt they could get away with then sell the little extra bits one at a time. Doubly so since they said returning fighters would be free.
It's pretty bullshit, I think early on they said they would be free so it's even worse.
But ya know, if you love tekken and want to have all of them, there is no other way.
I don't want to love Tekken if it only wants me for my money
If you can get the full game and season pass 1 for 15 smackaroos, that's a steal. It's not like you HAVE to get season pass 2 either.
They need to have some income if they want to continue supporting the game, it's not like they're selling lootboxes or any bullshit like that. Some chars being behind a paywall is such a norm nowadays that complaining about it isn't going to do jack shit.
I can't believe this discussion is going on. Just give $15 to charity and play a great game. You're not even supporting the company which is just trying to commit the HEINOUS crime of paying its developers for continued work on a project.
The every returning character thing will be free thing people keep citing was a tweet Harada made in January 2017 where he figured that with the season pass business model he'd be able to release older characters for free. But those older characters came back with a bunch of new models and animations that some overworked Japanese salaryman had to make.
If you don't want to play Tekken, that's fine, but don't play it because you don't like the game, not because they're engaging in the safest business practice that allows development to continue on a game. There isn't a fighter today that doesn't have some sorta DLC except for UNIST and that's because it's using the old model of just release a new updated game.
my biggest gripes about character DLCs are how they're locked even in training/practice if you don't own them, and you can't really lab them yourself. Though youtube guides nowadays really help that. Aside from that I am not sure why people are mad about games 'not including old characters' like they can just port everything from the old game to the new ones with one click or something.
Microtransactions only bother me if they're gameplay altering and only available separately, since typically it's absurdly expensive to buy everything in those cases. If I can get everything at once (e.g. season passes) I'm ok with it.

I'd call that a comeback
Does anybody here play Heritage for the Future? It's an amazing game and i really wish it was still up on the ps4 market, i'd buy a PS4 solely to play it (and the Yakuza games).
I really enjoyed how distinct it was, even the closest thing to a shotoclone, Avdol, plays almost nothing like one. I just wish the health levels were more reasonably balanced. Jotaro Kujo has an insane amount of health compared to the other characters, to the point where some Japanese players apparently now consider Jotaro and Kakyoin to be potentially as busted or more than Pet Shop.
If you play Jotaro vs Dio MUs, you can tell that Dio's disadvantaged just by how lopsided the damage to the health bars is.
Despite this, I definitely would like to see it get back on the market for a new generation to experience.
Yeah, I was gonna ask if people see Hol Horse as OP, but that was solely because I felt like an asshole for how easily it is to abuse him in the survival mode (because AI can't handle projectile spam). I completely forgot about Pet Shop and Iggy being notorious in the game, but Jotaro himself being OP wouldn't surprise me. I also really like what they did with all the alternate non-main character stand characters, like Chaac, they were boring irrelevant characters in the story for essentially making the story longer, but in the game they're all really fun and have really cool designs.
