Now I'm no expert, but I have reason to believe that's a bug.
From what I remember this game has had a history with unpunishable supers. I'm not sure if it's changed but if he was in resonance, Jin had a super that could chip you for half your life and had you had no hope of punishing it, ever. Seems par for the course
On the note of MKX and MK11:
I liked playing X than 11, but as for watching it 11 wins hands down. X was a faster paced, go crazy go stupid kinda game. I wish I knew how much time of my life had been spent watching Kung Lao plus on block chip strings in X. 11 is a slower, more grounded game.
I'm sure my lack of enjoyment of 11 has something to do with the fact that my characters are ass in this game.

For those who want more King of Fighter in their life, a mugen one got updated today, I remember playing this one years ago and the next step is adding Capcom characters, starting with Morrigan. Akuma was previously a secret character in the roster.
Nah, I'm mostly joking with my comment. It very clearly is a bug. Her hurtbox just disappears completely
By the way, Combo Breaker is this weekend. Any games you guys are planning to watch?
SF EX2, GG Xrd, UNIST, maybe Skullgirls and Vampire Savior
I just picked up UNIST so I guess I'll tune into that. Other than that I always like watching T7.
I realized with Yakuza Kiwami 2 being ported to PC that means technically SEGA finally added Virtua Fighter 2/2.1 to Steam, now it's only time before Yakuza 6 gets ported and PC finally gets to play Virtua Fighter 5.
I thought Kiwami 2 used Virtual Fighter 5 in its arcade along side Virtual On? Last time I checked, the demo anyway for Kiwami 2.The arcades had posters of Border Break, even though Kiwami is set in... What, 2005? 2007?
That's Yakuza 6 with Virtua Fighter 5. Kiwami 2 has Virtua Fighter 2
Ono finally gave us a date.

Fighting games love announcements of announcements.
Another combo breaker and another fun filled drunken weekend.
They rented out 2 ballrooms in the hotel because the mega center was not enough space.
Got knocked out 1 game away from top 8 in SG but I beat MikeZ on the way there.
I had a scary dream where a new fighting game concept gets popular and being the equivalent of Fortnite but in fighting game form, attracting all the crowds and becoming the fighting game that everyone talks, is has players that only play that fighting game and nothing else, stealing the spotlight of other fighting games on EVO and ends being a game that becomes relevant for it's content rather than it's gameplay.
Good thing that was only a dream.
New character reveal: the main characters are fighting normally, but THEN KEANU REEVES WEARING A PAIR OF JORDANS BURSTS INTO THE ROOM WITH NOTHING BUT A PENCIL AND A SAMSUNG GALAXY S69
The other fighters turn around, look at him, and whip out 20 bucks

its a shame the leak seems to be 100% true. i'd like doomguy to have been the chainsaw sound
If the leak is genuinely true I can't fucking wait to see this game's incarnation of Ash Williams. I really love his Tell Tale design from Poker Night 2, but I feel like they're gonna make him look like a badass musclebound monster for this game.
Ash Williams is a perfect pick, especially since Mortal Kombat has always been a somewhat silly game, so I can definitely seeing him fit perfectly in. Especially with this game being more dialogue focus, it will definitely work for him. Although, I hope that the Terminator DLC is not real. I just don't think the character will be interesting enough, both gameplay and presentation wise to really stand out. I know Terminator has some distinctive kills and all, but I don't know if they are easily able to be translated into Fatalities.
TBH, I can definitely see Terminator working as a juggernaut kind of character like Jason in the last game. It'd probably make the most sense, keep his moveset limited, maybe some ranged options via his various weaponry, maybe a cool motorcycle special.
It depends on what design they're going to use for Terminator. I can see some issues if they use Arnold T-800 model but it's fine if they go for like they did with Jason in MKX with a basic T-800 Exoskeleton. Most definitely going to be Arnold since I think there were dialog datamined for him.
