In this game, with a flying bike with mounted homing rocket launchers and soon to be explosive MG, an explosive sniper rifle isn't overkill.

Rockstar put up some more info about The Terrorbyte and Oppressor Mk II on the newswire.
This isn't a gamebreaking issue and I actually understand why they did this, but it drives me crazy how the MOC, Avenger and Terrorbyte are bigger on the inside.
Ha! You can scan other players with the Terrorbyte and it gives you some of their statistics, including how many lap dances and sex acts they've purchased.
So tempted to grind out both of them to 69.
New event is live.
Terrorbyte, Terrorbyte client jobs, Oppressor MK2, and The Black Madonna are now available.
My first impressions of the Oppressor Mk. II are that it isn't going to replace the original one wholesale. It does a few things better than the first, but won't be an absolutely necessary 'upgrade'.
Like the Deluxo it'll hover over damn near everything, and is slower floating in air than over land. Be careful when out on the water though, dip the nose too far and it will fall into the ocean. It's pretty fun to see what the bike will magnetise itself to, being less bulky than the Deluxo it's better in the underground tunnels, hopefully it will be available in the race creator for some tube races.
Practically nothing will knock you off the bike short of dying, even tried boosting at top speed into a wall, you won't come off. It is incredibly maneuverable on land and in air, and coupled with being glued to it means it's great for moving around the city, into oncoming traffic, weaving through small gaps between buildings and other little cubbyholes you'd fall off the original attempting to rush into.
The boost is by far the biggest weakness of the Oppressor 2, you need to take your finger off the accelerator for the boost to build, and the bike quickly loses all momentum, even on a steep downward incline. You can hold reverse to speed up the boost regeneration, which will kill your forward momentum, making it less useful at straight-line speed than the original Oppressor. I'm not 100% sure on this, but either the Oppressor 2 has a lower top speed, or the boost is weaker or shorter than the original, either way it just feels like you're covering ground slower.
Unlike the Deluxo, if you jump off of it when you're hovering in the air it will quickly crash to the ground instead of floating down gently. It does start to smoke pretty quickly after a few hard crashes, even at full armour, which makes me think it takes less punishment than the original Oppressor.
I haven't tested it in a fight with another player yet, but the Explosive MG weapon upgrade doesn't seem up to much, range is too short for air combat and from what I've read the Homing Missile upgrade seems to be the way to go yet again if you want to be the terror of the skies.
All-in-all it's a pretty fun toy that has a good deal of novelty, but if you already have the first Oppressor I would say it probably isn't worth buying the Terrorbyte and then spending a further 3 million just to get the Mk. II.
Apparently some people have been reporting that when you have the Terrorbyte, you can't call Lester to lose the cops. Anyone here run into that issue?
Can confirm, unless it's something else.
i'll say that this only happens when you're doing a resupply/source vehicle/client job/whatever from the terrorbyte
Why does it feel like a lot of this update's content was for an espionage expansion that will never come to fruition?
Like fuck's sake we now have a third MOC, of which it can customize one thing. Where are the hacker/spy weapons?
I'm kinda disappointed by the Terrorbyte missions. I was expecting something like the MOC jobs but it's really just more freeroam missions done in five minutes. At least the payoff is decent.
As for the Opressor MK.II, Scatter summed up everything. I'm gonna add that the explosive MG is terrible due to its ridiculously low fire rate. It also has the same problem as the Deluxo where you can't lower your altitude while standing still, so you have to zigzag or go in circles while leaning forwards to do so.
And this is a personal opinion, but I think the original Opressor is much more fun to use. Gliding over the city and using the environment as takeoff ramps is more enjoyable than just flying in a straight line.
And an A-10. Never forget the A-10. Which may be the deadliest thing in the skies now.
Also what's the deal with every type of flying vehicle having random controls different? Why can I only fire weapons with the mouse on some weapons while others it's somewhere on the keyboard?
I actually quite like the new client jobs. It's nice to see them using more interiors in freemode like Lifeinvader and the jewelry store.
The A-10 is basically useless because the firerate of the main gun is less than the minigun, also tiny blast radius.
Its not worth its pricetag.
Firerate isn't everything that thing has.
Don't buy it for the gun, buy it for what is probably currently the best all-rounder fighter plane in the game. It may look like a slow easy target, but with it's ridiculous turnrate and slower speed it's actually pretty difficult to stay on it's tail in a dogfight. The gun can still be useful for big armored targets, but anything else should be handled by the barrage missiles/homing missiles.
It should honestly just be a slow tanky flying cannon, but for some reason Rockstar decided to turn it into what it is now, with the iconic gun paying the price for it.
Cannon isn’t everything
Welp, now that I bought the Terrorbyte, I can't use Lester to get rid of the cops anymore, regardless if I'm doing a Terrorbyte job or not. I have to kill myself to lose the cops. This is a HUGE issue that they need to fix ASAP. I gotta have my Lester.
Rockstar has been recycling content from their cancelled SP DLCs for a little while now, one of which was what the Doomsday Heists originally were. I don't know if the content of this update is related to the old SP content, but it wouldn't be surprising.
Does the Terrorbyte take up to two minutes to load into for everybody else?
I bought the Terrorbyte yesterday and did a few of the client jobs in it and haven't had any problems with calling Lester to remove my wanted level. I've been able to call him in and out of jobs every time.
Next event according to Yan:

What the fuck? I've been playing pretty much every day since the update came out and I've never gotten these missions.

I only gotten one mission from him and it was to collect the DJ's friends in a SuperVolito, had to fly low too
Seems to be random chance, cause my popularity was pretty high at the time
They're random events which boost your popularity, so if your club is always maxed you'll never get them.
The Opp2ssors missiles really need a nerf.
Okay Rockstar, you want to make the 2nd generation greifing vehicle you can spawn from your quick menu, complete with missiles and flares (to dodge stray rockets) while going much faster then a deluxo? No no, don't worry, I get it, you need some cool new toy in order to sell shark cards. But like, I know your not reading this forum (seriously, they're more likely to go to the unofficial GTA central forums) but please for the love of god you gotta nerf the missiles.
Let me explain why.
A foreword first: This isn't some salt because those darn greifers are using some jet bike to greif. The thing actually has a few good counters (miniguns and avenger cannons come to mind, as well as strombergs). My problem is its role in air fights. As it stands, it outclasses every type of jet and helicopter. The only one that stands a chance is another Opp2ssor, which would be "Fine" (not fine, just roll with it) if having another jetbike fight it didn't mean both pilots blowing each other up with their undodgable missiles. For some reason, chaff isn't a counter at all to the thing when you have a missile already on you, and flares? Those just distract one missile. One. So if you have two? You're dead. Oh, but good news: If your are a mildly skilled pilot, then you already fired a rocket at the other opp2ssor. Which means you both die.
Do you see the problem? If the vehicle had the normal homing rockets found on stuff like the Buzzard, Hydra or Oppressor 1, you'd actually have balls to the walls dogfights in the things. Infact, in dogfights the things could fuffill a comical team role as the "Fast attack scouts" while your big boy Hydras, Akulas or Strikeforces do the heavier lifting. But no. Instead you have an air vehicle that dominates air vehicles, can only be countered by people on the ground shooting at it with miniguns (thus rendering them avoidable) and can be respawned in under 3 seconds thanks to the MC menu.
On two occasions I have had Strikeforces attack my Opp2ssor while I was... uh, don't ask. Totally not testing its greifer potential. I remember clearly one snuck up and had the drop on me. Here we go! A battle of the titans! On one side, the flying tank! On the other, the witches broomstick! Two titans enter, one falls! But no. The fight was actually kinda shit. Why? I can dodge his missiles, but he cant dodge mine. Not so much due to his speed, but because my missiles are too good. Are you seeing a pattern? Infact, on the second time it happened, the other person was outright modding to have their strikeforce go faster then it should. They didn't have godmode on, so I still won.
Now I don't think we're hopeless when it comes to RS balancing the thing properly. I remember them balancing the MK2 Revolver with antipersonal rounds, removing its 1shot kill potential and even earlier (as in: Before I had the chance to use it myself) they nerfed the explosive sniper to deal half damage, which kept it as still-deadly but also that some military vehicles could shrug off a shot or two of it. I'm crossing my fingers that on the next DLC (I HOPE we have a next dlc, this one was... not as bad as SASS, but still a far cry from Doomsday) they'll nerf the Opp2ssor so it's still deadly... just not an I-Win button in dogfights.
About the Oppressor Mark Two, how the hell does the Stromberg have a chance against it? The thing has Chaff, so unless you're a complete dumbass and don't use it, you can just rush past the Stromboli, fire a missile in the process to knock it over, and while you're behind it just bomb the shit out of it and it's helpless. Same with the Deluxo, Oppressor and any other missile-spam vehicle.
Also, I love how Rockstar released an update without any serious weaponized vehicles, lulled everyone into a false sense of security that there weren't going to be any more grief-mobiles for a long while, and then out of nowhere add a fucking A-10, and a Mark Two Oppressor that literally nobody asked for, it's golden. Next up they're not even going to announce an update, it'll just be stagnant for two months and then out of nowhere you see "The Deluxo Mark 3 Gundam is now available for purchase at HaimatsuTechnologies.jp" and everyone is just scrambling out of terror, trying to figure out which website has the Mech Hangar available.
