So it seems like the "business consolidation" is just extra product on top of what they already produce and the nightclub stock fills up excruciatingly slow. I played for 2 hours and my nightclub stock was still $0
Apparently the DJs are part of the dripfeed over the next few weeks. Hopefully you like Solomun because that's all we got right now.
The dialogue seems a lot more mature than previous updates which seemingly had a swear filter, English Dave is straight up talking about pills at one point lol
Kind of disappointed that we can't do molly or coke at the club. Our characters are the most straight edge criminals ever.
Tony keeps a picture of Luis on his desk apparently, from reddit https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/108621/fa7920be-4ab5-4b9a-9e2c-9ee3a50068a0/image.png .
What a complete disappointment.
They also added these new freemode events allowing you to get cargo from random NPC's, it's pretty fun!
Oh that's what that is? I assumed you stole cargo from other players, and was dreading the shitshow. I assume it only activates in populated lobbies like the other freemode events?
Seems so, was also asking my friends first if someone was doing cargo, but it turned out to be a merryweather Insurgent Pick-up just cruising around. There was also one where you had to break into a police station to get coordinates and one where you had to break into Simeon's car dealership to steal a car. P sure there's more!
So far, I'm a little disappointed too, but I think it's still a little early to judge. This is only the first batch of content. Over the next few weeks they're going to be adding more stuff, not just vehicles.
From what we have seen so far, even the dripfeed is terrible. It's bad when the only thing I'm looking forward to is the A10, even though I'm more of a car guy.
Welp, looks like they're making the Romero Hearse buyable now. That was like the last rare thing I had. Nothing is sacred anymore. https://twitter.com/FoxySnaps/status/1021823552788553729?s=19
Most of the rest of those vehicles look like ones you could only obtain from spawns off the street, if you were lucky enough for them to spawn.
The Futo is getting new liveries. No Initial D livery unfortunately https://twitter.com/FoxySnaps/status/1021836835599929349?s=19
As is the Mamba https://twitter.com/FoxySnaps/status/1021848745506484224
I don't really get what the update is actually for? The club is cool as a location and the music is great but there's nothing really going on there, there's a couple start up missions and the occasional free roam shitfest but nothing else, it seems the update is really lacking any actual content My cash went from 11mil to 7mil and I don't really have anything to show for it, the nightclub's way of making money is really strange, they tried to play it off as a "build up stock without resupplying" but the resupply just comes in another form, keeping your club popular There's barely any new clothes and they're mostly reskins anyway, I just don't get the point of it
I appreciate how peaceful the setup missions and (most) of the popularity missions are finally I don't have to fight against annoying infinite bullet sponge enemies
Looks like the vehicles that are already ingame(!) will also be dripfed to the dealers and not all be available at the same time. Bad R*. https://twitter.com/FoxySnaps/status/1021828243673042944
Gotta say, its kinda great to have Tony back.
I'm still kinda confused at how the nightclub's warehouse supplies work. Let's say I have a coke production from the MC update, if the production is active and I link a nightclub technician to it, will it keep producing coke as long as the nightclub is pouplar without having to do supply missions ? If so, that's neat. Having to resupply constantly for all MC productions plus the bunker and the hangar was an absolute chore.
The warehouse at the nightclub is a separate thing. You still have to manually fill up your other ones.
Question, can I upgrade my nightclub later post-purchase or do I need to do some annoying "sell-property, buy it again with the options you want" thing? I've got slightly less than 6 mil from back when I played this game regularly so I don't know how any of this shit post-heists works.
ye you can just go back to the foreclosures website and click renovate, you can change it all post-purchase
Ya know, with the festival bus I could just go around blasting rebel radio everywhere
This update is pretty shallow honestly. In terms of active content, there isn't a whole lot to do. Rockstar's basically just been rehashing old content in a different shade basically, the last time we got something that really was new and unique in every way was import/export. Everything else after is basically just a knockoff of existing activities with maybe one twist on it. And now we're just getting drowned in drip-feed content, it's ridiculous. Seems like a more than half of the actual things aren't even out yet. The only thing you can really do in this update is do popularity missions, which are pointless because the money is awful, so unless you just like seeing your club active, there's no real monetary incentive. The warehousing aspect almost seems like what smuggler's run should have been, since it has the similar cargo variety, but it's basically just any other business, except you don't have to resupply it. Other than that.. What else is there? Just animation hotspots really. I guess it's cool for idling with your buddies for a bit, but I personally get bored of that pretty quickly. The club lighting is pretty, I will give them that. Also, I'm really mad they basically are holding the rumored business consolidation behind another 2 million dollar purchase. This is the third time Rockstar has sold us basically the same damn vehicle. If the MOC was version 1.0, then the Avenger was 2.0, and the Terrorbyte is 3.0 and what the MOC should have been in the first place. "Mobile operations center" my ass, this Terrorbyte will be able to access the Securoserv and Open Road networks from inside, but it might only be actual missions, who knows if you'll be able to remotely buy supplies for your businesses. Either way, it's another 2 million down the drain if you're interested in that. They couldn't even be bothered to include that functionality in the club itself.
why are people getting mad about the DJs being dripfed I don't get it R* is giving everyone a week to get the most out of the current DJ and content before they add new ones
Because why is there a content dripfeed at all? The DJs are just a small part of a much bigger issue.
Oh man I love this argument Pretty much every game in existence that adds extra content does perfectly fine without having to force people to "enjoy" the content at an artificially slower pace, because it doesn't work like that. What ends up happening is most people hop on every week to look at the """""new""""" dripfed content for a few minutes then bugger off because you can't get the "most" out of dripfed content, which looks good for Rockstar's metrics since that's what dripfeed was born out of. I mean, that's what I can guess since that seems like the best explanation - GTAO is basically being run by a skeleton crew at this point, so anything they can do to keep a hold of as many players as possible for as long as possible (maybe 'til RDR2 comes out, I unno what Rockstar's expectations for that are though) est tres bien for them.
This has become my new favorite thing out of this update. Just roll up to some tryhards fighting each other and keep following them around distracting them with Rebel Radio.
Okay, I'll stop posting about nightclub warehouses after this post but there's still something I don't get. I just hired a technician, and I want to assign him to my cocaine production. However, it shows as locked on the computer and I get this message : https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/199389/8efcd9b2-e781-434f-b63b-122b79bb40bb/20180725185113_1.jpg The thing is, my cocaine lockup IS producing coke. It's supplied and I never shut the thing down. The meth option is locked too, despite my meth lab being active like the coke one. What does the game wants me to do exactly ?
