Either don't run them or totems/trap is your key. The only ascendancy that allow for reflect avoidance is elementalist or slayer

warframe is kind of a baffling comparison lol? every single element of in-game progression in warframe is monetised, including the 1-3 day build times. and yet they're still charging over 100 bucks for prime packs I will take expensive armour sets and the $50 wing memes if it means the entire game experience and in-game economy isn't spoilt by monetisation concerns
Elder/Shaper themed items comes with its own mods that you won't find on the average magic/rare items, like adding a support to socketed gems, damage conversion, grant skills, double damage, charges, etc. It is the '50% increased critical strike chance if you have killed recently' in your case. Since influenced items can give more than 1 of those modifiers some combinations can be very powerful.
One can argue that PoE does have things that affect gameplay. Stash tabs are definitely one of the major drawbacks if you're going to play the game for any decent length of time. Anyone who has invested enough time and energy into PoE and its economy will surely require more than the default amount of stash tabs. I had to cave in and buy 1 custom stash tab myself, otherwise I wouldn't have enough to hold the 50 different currencies, maps, essences, cards, and sellable uniques. It's gets rather cumbersome having to manage your inventory. That's the one thing about PoE that absolutely bugs me. The game is being designed in such a way that they are adding more variants of items (which is not bad in its own right) which continually requires more and more stash space as time goes on. Not saying it's totally 100% a bad thing too, by the way, but it does get tedious.
stash tabs are a requirement not really 'pay to win' because of people being able to get to 100 without them, but regardless, you end up seeing everyone worth their salt in the game with a good amount, its paid qol
*Chuckles in Black Desert*
That's what I'm saying. They are pretty much required for anyone who wants to invest more than the minimum amount of time required to enjoy the game and progress to end-game. Unless you like selling potentially valuable items to vendors and get barely anything in return. I basically tried to play the game as long as I could before buying a stash tab. It's nearly impossible without running on a loss.
you should have a free lootbox, i got a effect that adds tentacles to an aura
can someone explain the symbols on the atlas? i know the one on the right is shaper influenced, the 3 on the left dont say anything special but those symbols move around https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/237741/2278cf0c-eecc-44be-a5e4-e46358d88156/screenshot-0003.png
Red = Bestiary Star symbol = Incursion Golden machinery = Zana There's also a dark cogwheel which has Niko for delving.
and those are basically your dailies, they also refresh after a bunch of maps and dont forget that zana is basically free map completion since that counts now, so choose wisely
Finally. It just makes sense to have that. I always thought why they didn't make the the default but I guess since Zana could potentially be found more often, it would have been easy to get map completions that way. Also, I caved in again and bought a currency tab. Feelsgoodman :P
a good investment. currency tabs are an absolute necessity for endgame imo.
The only QoL that is absolutely required to enjoy PoE is Currency tab and Map tab. Rest is kind of a minor convenience at that point.

Man, this game's networking is absolute dogshit. I spend an hour clearing every corner of the labrynth, getting a bunch of shrine buffs, getting a bunch of keys. I then get to phase 3 of the boss and die because of some fucking lag spike. HE WAS ALMOST DEAD TOO. This shit pisses me off. It takes me like 2-3 fucking tries just to even log in past the character screen into the game. I don't have this issue with *any* other game. This is the one thing about this game that absolutely drives me nuts (and yes, I am using Predictive networking mode). Man, fuck this game sometimes...
I suspect Labyrinth is likely be on a priority to get revamped to be more in line with other content. I wouldn't be surprised if it got associated with a master and the trials are ditched for master missions.
I hope not. Lab is prefectly fine imo, only the enchantments system needs a rework.
I'd argue the uber trials in their current state would be well rid of.
I just want enchantments to be more like the veiled items system where you can select your enchant from 3 random enchants. It's really frustrating to run so many labs to get garbage right now.

Hi, I would like to buy your Eagle Fang Imperial Claw listed for 1 alteration orb.

Oh god this man is absolutely insane https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCs9jL-ElIU
Sooo, anything I should know before I start playing this game?
highly recommend you follow a forum guide for your first build, or at least look up how a few of them path around the tree before building your own. having a bad skill tree can seriously cripple you on your first character, but if you don't mind potentially having issues in endgame or late story then just pick a character archetype and take whatever looks appropriate. if you want to make your own build to start with, i'd highly recommend staying life-based, as it's much easier for newer players to get used to than Energy Shield. pretty much any ascendancy can be good with the right build, except for Berserker which is a neglected dumpster fire, so just play whatever looks fun to you - if you need specific build recommendations, what sort of character archetype do you generally enjoy playing - rangers, spellcasters, tanks, etc
In addition to derpmeiter post if you feel you have no idea what you are following take a moment to read the ingame tutorial. While the most iconic traits of a rpg (accuracy, defense, evasion, life, mana, etc) are given for granted, all mechanics have some extra layers of complexity that you might not understand by directly jumping into the work of someone else. Engineering Eternity guides in the OP has a very detailed collection of videos explaining pretty much every aspect of the game. Don't worry about trying to learn as fast as you can. There is a lot of information to grasp so don't get frustrated if after your first two or tree weeks you think your character is not going anywhere.

I didn't plan for it initially but then turns out I just went for it anyway. The most frustrating challenge goes to atlas objectives. It was the challenge that I did last. Even endgame grind was finished before this one.
