Wow, all those T15 maps are awful.
This atlas looks weird, too much space between maps, but at least Red maps are now connected. I wonder if the recolour of shaper's stronghlod means we are getting something new in the shaper/elder questline
T15 is absolutely shit. Desert Spring, Tower, Summit, Lava Lake, Torture Chamber. Makes me really not wanna try to do Uber Elder this time around/get map completion.
torture chamber would be okay actually, but its being replaced with that new primordial blocks map which has an immunity phase boss at least you only have to do them once* for completion so thats not too bad
https://i.redd.it/0d2fwy684c121.jpg way higher craftable %phys, arborix damage buff, slivertongue got some other mods changed i wonder if they're balancing 2h vs dw by just giving 2h fat fuck crafted mods

Is this any good with Iron Commander/Siege Ballista or does the -40% damage hit it too hard?
i think people did the math and at 40% less damage, it becomes a damage loss at 6+ totems but until we know what the scaling is with levels it'll be hard to say. for my money though, for a siege ballista build, the QoL of dropping 2 totems at once is huge considering just how many totems you run

just got this game, about 24 hours in with 2 characters.
They're very important. And about ranger class yes she is very good. Do note that each class has 3 sub-classes that enables strong builds. Look up engineering eternity for some better beginner guides.
RoA scales primarily with weapon damage, only scaling up about 10% in effectiveness with all its levels, so if you enjoy that skill make your main focus keeping your bow as strong as possible. Ranger is an excellent start for bow skills, once you get to the Labyrinth both Raider and Deadeye are excellent choices for beginner bow ascendancies - Pathfinder is also good but requires flask maintenance to be effective, so i wouldn't worry about that yet. Builds are very important in PoE, with a poor choice in passives potentially crippling you later on - I'd highly recommend you either try one or two guides from the PoE forums/Engineering Eternity's channel, or to download Path of Building and spend some time planning out a passive tree ahead of time. If you just want to play fast and loose with it, in general, stick to getting life and bow damage on the tree for now. That should keep you pretty comfortable for a while.
Every class is good at their own things, basically. The game is pretty freeform about how you do things buildwise, especially these days. In terms of builds...it really depends on how you want to go about things. I'd say they're very important, especially when it comes down to the passive skill tree. But if you're the type of person who doesn't care as much about going to the endgame, and would rather experiment on your own and figure out what works well, go about things your own way. But you can normally end up finding a guide or two about any skill you think is cool, just note that most guides and stuff are built around trading.
I feel like the harbinger rewards are a lot uglier, these are fine. Been a while since we didn't get a portal though.
That aura looks neat, glad it's the 24 reward and not 36. Cloak looks kinda meh. Surprised we didn't get a hideout tileset as the 36 reward though... maybe next league.
that would be a great idea for future leagues that have their own tilesets. like a mine hideout for delve
that clock is so meh. Pretty much all the cloaks they've put in are just overdesigned and don't mesh with anything. The first 2 rewards are nice, though, especially that aura.
Hey dont talk bad about my blue eyes! Also when was the last time we got a weapon effect? My perandus weapon is starting to get old :v
Last time was Legacy league. That was a year and a half ago.
Forum Unique rebalancing is always nice to hear, but I, like many others, am disappointed in the way they decided to handle stat sticks. Doesn't seem to touch spells whatsoever, but does absolutely gut most applications of stat stick usage for melee (rip that guy who thought he was gonna get to play moonbender BF elementalist on reddit lol). Regardless, it's a nice shake-up of the meta.
Melee is still intrinsically worse than ranged, now even more so. Stat sticks allowed melee skills like Ice Crash and Dual Strike to have a fighting chance, and to top it off, skills like BV and GC are left untouched. Even if BV and GC are nerfed in the patch notes, melee is still in a pretty awful state. Actual melee skills will remain totally inferior. This was targeted for ""melee"" skills like BF and Reave, and they'll still be the majority anyway. The ES recharge changes are phenomenal. I'm going to definitely consider using EB more often now. Rare unique items becoming more powerful and less potent uniques becoming more common is much needed. My favorite part of the manifesto, honestly. I'm glad they're acknowledging the weakness of self-casting. I still think self-cast is far more fun and cooler than totems/mines/traps.
I don't understand why people expected changes to affect spells? the entire point of spells is not using weapon damage, ergo, literally anything you put in your hand is a stat stick at least now they have to choose between a shaper scepter and being able to whirl
And here I thought they'd just nerf the Shaper mods.
because shaper weapons are also disproportionately powerful for spells...?
Forum This also got kinda ignored because of the manifesto. Tower and Desert Spring seems a lot better, and T15 might not be as bad as I thought.
