soam i. maybe next time is $20.
I have been tempted to buy STW but there are more important games for me to play. Plus ive not been in the fortnite mood. Maybe for the next season? Nothing stands out to me right now, character eisr anyway. Apart from Rook but i can't be too bothered to grind.
The rift may be closing, but recently people have reported lightning strikes coming from it and hitting a mountain near paradise palms. A strange purple cube has appeared at that spot, too.
This game is going fuckin batshit https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/110226/8492df49-5aa0-4265-bc9b-6597abfad873/20180824220540_1.jpg it restores armor by being near it, too
i love cube
Seems like the uh... portal problems are only going to get worse. I want to see the whole island get fucked up
Placing my bet on Pleasant Park getting turned into Peasant Park (or uh, IDK... Anyone know some names for medieval settlements that start with a P?)
I still haven't managed to do the Kills with LMG/Minigun from week 6 and its killing me. The only time I ever find those guns are in 50 v 50 and by the time I find one, the baddies become way harder to find.
Play squads and kill knocked down players
that weird purple cube has a unique killfeed dialogue. I guess if you swing ur pick at it while someones bouncing, it knocks them down? idk but I triggered it and the killfeed shows a fucked up flashy cube character
Is this the famous time cube?
If you shoot it, it hits you for 30 HP. If that kills you, you see the killfeed icon.
IT'S MOVING. The cube rolled onto its side today, flattening some players in the process, from some footage I've seen on YT. There's a theory that the cube will continue to roll every day either until next week or until the end of the season. If it does continue rolling until the end of the season, it's calculated that it will reach the exact center of the map by then. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rYToEeYnRw
i thought it'd move to salty springs but its apparently going to move to a nearby lake
Man I am disappointed. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/110226/619941f4-5603-414f-bcb5-7f265a856714/20180827004334_1.jpg When I saw that there was "challenges" for alternate costumes for this guy I thought maybe it'd be some fun extra goals I can do alongside of the weekly ones until the season ended. But, no, it's just Drift again but so aggressively high that I don't think I could even get the final one at this point unless I somehow get 50 wins in the next 3 weeks.
Aren't the Drift and Ragnarok XP challenges sticking around after the Season?
Yeah, Epic stated that back during the beginning of S5. Some players complained that there wasn't enough time to level their skins up, so they made it so that you can continue leveling them up this time around as long as they're in your inventory.
so many people hate this game, so many who refuse to even try it, just because of the art style. call it a babies game. its fun as fuck and its free, literally nothing to lose but your time. the real babies are those people.
I can understand why people want to stay away from it. I like it a lot but the fact that you can literally hear 10 years old talk about this game everywhere makes me cringe.
I dislike this game because: 1) It has building element to it, one moment you're shooting some motherfucker - another he goes full Trump and builds a fucking wall within a second. 2) No Weapon customization, can't even scope in. 3) It seems to be forming this annoying fucking cult around it (same as it happened with Minecraft when kids started playing it) - Merchandise, prob animated series eventually (if not made yet) and other shit to follow, I like games to stay games. 4) I like PUBG
I think fortnite, despite being very similar to Pubg, fills a totally different niche.
Personally I'm inclined to agree that Minecraft fandom turning into a Cult is what made me leave Minecraft, and likewise here if the merchandising starts getting taken a bit too far.
I honestly don't mind if people dislike, but not liking a game just because it has a cartoon like artstyle? Now that's just a weak reason to dislike it.
People hate Fortnite because it's super popular, especially with kids. These are the same folks who probably begged their parents for Pokemon toys back in the 90's. Hypocrites. I say let kids have fun with what they want to have fun with, we were just as stupidly into weird stuff when we were kids, its what kids fucking do.
There's "Kids Like it" and then there's the "Dedotated Wam"-threshold. The moment I fell out of love with Minecraft was the regular sight while driving to/from work of a fat kid in the back of a minivan on his tablet playing Minecraft with a Creeper hoodie on, and perhaps a bit too much Minecraft paraphernalia in plain-view. That and Creative Mode hijacking the game-design. Like I'm pretty sure Minecraft was supposed to be a Voxel-Roguelike? What happened to that? I don't think Fortnite will be going in that direction any time soon thankfully.
I don't know what it is about this season that isn't clicking for me, I just can't have a good round, even if I do usually make it to the top 10 like every other time
There are explicitly Fortnite magazines for kids in the UK. We're at the dedotated wam threshold.
Nah that's just the "Pokemon Go" threshold. I saw plenty of magazines for that at grocery stores in the US. Pokemon Go's community was cringey in its own way, but it ain't close to the Rick and Morty or Minecraft-point.
The cube is now glowing from the bottom and generating a low gravity field around it!
its less about how the game looks and more about what the game represents. people will talk shit about it because it is a hot trend in the same vein lol was, and overwatch was, and pretty much any other trendy game in the past 30 years. as such, those who feel invaded by that popularity and feel enforced to play it (and like it) will naturally move away from it, to a point they will shit talk about it without even playing it.
