Today I won 3 games from the last player outbuilding themselves and getting stuck in the storm.
squatingdog of reddit and twitter has all these cheatsheets for where to find shit in the weekly challenges, which makes life 100x times easier, and you can do most of them by yourself. Although there is a challenge in week five that requires 3 others to dance. But if you put some time you should be able to do it no problem. Remember that the hidden challenges also exist.
Got 2nd place in Solo again, look how fucking small the eye of the storm got before that happened, though! Getting so close to my first win, I can feel it. https://my.mixtape.moe/tpehfd.jpg
Just had a funny moment in Solo. I landed atop the tall mountain south of Pleasant Park, and found a bunch of shopping carts there. I was harvesting materials when I heard someone building a ramp up to me. I ran for one of the shopping carts, hoping for a quick escape. The other guy started shooting, and without really thinking about it, I ran right at him with the cart and pushed him down the hill. As we were going down he actually climbed into the cart and started dancing, so I let go and he careened down the rest of the mountain far away while I booked it to the left. By the time he realized I'd given him the slip he was miles away. I ended up surviving up to 9th place pushing another one of those shopping carts around to move quickly about the map. Thank God for the shopping cart! I hope other vehicles are implemented at some point.
Guess we know what the big shit in the sky this season is gonna be. That launch was cool as hell.
got it recorded from a good view but youtube hates me mp4 files so uploaded as mkv and it lost sound https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-37t7cY2E7c
I almost missed it because of the long wait time to log in and the fact my computer crashed when loading up the first time. Thankfully I was able to get out on the bus in time and got to open my parasol early to watch the lightshow from beginning to end
Couldnt watch it ingame but i catched ninjas stream (my net is slow atm so i had to watch it at 160p lol) Just when i thought they couldnt one-up S3's meteor
I play on the Switch, here's a cool shot I pulled off https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/269085/6026e37a-4510-490a-9520-45511b66c3f6/Henry () on Twitter ez NintendoSwitch httpstcowsKUvA0Rys.mp4
Holy shit. Epic Games keeps on amazing me with their creativity.
Hope you don't mind a few pics of the launch https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/236911/51801a97-9760-452d-a67b-69a80787b2b2/Screenshot (363).png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/236911/e793e34d-4bd8-4267-93ef-ba263c733ee6/Screenshot (364).png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/236911/866587d1-6fe2-4df2-b345-4fea4f8842ea/Screenshot (365).png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/236911/7f037ac9-47ee-474e-981a-0262f9af21e3/Screenshot (367).png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/236911/8f5748ac-1cb1-48f9-9066-c84d11846908/Screenshot (368).png
Me and a few colleagues got into this game on PS4. It's awesome bonding over this. I argue this game could be a great team-building exercise.
Pro-Tip™: Keep re-tapping the zoom trigger when your target moves, you get one frame of Lock-On on consoles, Switch included.
I'll admit that how they constantly keep the map updated is really cool, the crater regrowing is a super nice touch
Pro-tip: Make sure you set maximum pre-rendered frames to 1 in your GPU control panel for input lag reduction, because Fortnite's RHI.MaximumFrameLatency defaults to 3.
Ever have one of those runs where everything goes right until the very end? Well, this is what happens. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/214999/8529fa97-865d-4d77-b321-7643f1fce453/BRsolorec.png Ended with the storm shrinking around two people's sniper towers across loot lake. Didn't stand a chance. Doubt i'll come close to this again anytime soon but DAMN what a rush.
I wish I had cleaned my old replays. Yesterday I had a good 50v50 match in wich ended in a 2 v 3 somehow I managed to win it with the other dude. That day was the only time the minigun had that much use that I ran out of ammo.
Even with a good controller I get mowed down by sweaty try hards on Switch. Guess ill just stick to PC lmao.
So it seems like if you end up on Tilted Towers side in 50 v 50 and the circle isn't near it there's a 75% chance you'll lose. Its like moth's to a damn flame. Had a round where the circle spawned the furthest possible distance from it and a 1/3rd of my team still went to tilted.
Aparently there are two singularities literaly eating the map. one near the cabin in the woods and one near the motel
The lesson is, regardless of the mode, never go to Tilted.
The thing I hate about the RPG is that you can be having a nice fight with someone but as soon as he loses the edge he'll resort to blowing up the two of you with a rocket from point blank.

Hold up. The Sandbox is one of those limited time modes? Thats just retarded.
It's a first test for a creative mode.
I genuinely enjoy 50v50 more than royale simply because it allows me to play support. Often i don't kill anybody, but i focus on buildings cover and rescuing those knocked down - something that is taboo aparently for the people who bought shit on the game.
You can do more or less that in Duos/Squads
the people i play with often doesnt have that much time, so i rarely play alone. last time i used "fill squad" i got paired with a ten year old who build a wall in front of me as i was about to shoot a rocket to kill an enemy, enemy that ultimately killed him and with it the entire squad. it doesnt help the SA servers are located in brazil, so whenever i play my aim barely counts because i'm stuck with 120+ ping.
120+? Im on 4mbps and on a good day i get like 80-90
