The beard's meant to disable the hardhat by default, or atleast have a style that gives you the option to do so.

We've emailed the TF Team about it and hopefully the option will be added in a lil' patch, along with some other items that came with style choices

I've got that loadout but instead of the Bear I use the Polar Pullover, the Polar bear completely covers the goggles to give it a good balaclava look

On another note, Octodad is a neat little game that I got on that sale a few weeks ago, so I tried to find the closest loadout possible to him.
Sucks there isn't a suit & tie item for the Scout yet, so this will have to do for now.
