So in the usual Roman fashion he essentially told us to get fucked and that the new voice aren't placeholders.
How anyone in the world could listen to the new miserum, compare it to the old MISERUM and say "This was a job well done" needs psychiatric help.
Miserum is supposed to mean "Pitiful!" or something along those lines, right? So why does the fucking guy saying it sound like a 13 year old using a freeware voice changer with ads every 10 seconds.
Sounds like they just got the IT guys in the booth to record the lines on their lunch break.

If thats the devs' response to outrage over extremely sub-par voice work replacing what was actually pretty good voice work, this game's gonna hit the shitter real fast
Damn shame as there's nothing quite like this game out there, Anarchy Reigns is the only game I can really compare it to and even then

For those who are new here and don't know me, I'm the Senior Community Developer on For Honor, host of the weekly Warrior's Den
stream, and frequent commenter here on the sub. I wanted to post something because I feel things have gotten out of hand, and frankly
really toxic, these last couple days. NOTE: I am not a moderator of this subreddit, so I'm not dictating how you can or should use this sub to
express your opinions. But I do care deeply about this community and
wanted to speak up on this.
Before reading on, I'd urge you to actually watch the segment we did with Roman on today's Warrior's Den. I've highlighted it here:
Regarding the Responsive Dialog System (RDS), we have of course heard you. We have heard from a number of you on this subreddit, that you're
not super stoked. I think it's a fair summation to say it's not the system so much that you're reacting to, but specifically the new VO
that's in game for all the old characters, in many cases replacing an iconic voice you've come to know and love over the past year and a half.

We firmly believe in the promise of the RDS and how it will improve the For Honor gameplay experience for our players. This new system,
though, necessitates the recording of new VO for all of our characters. It simply wouldn't be possible with the bank of original VO we recorded
for the game's release. In game production we always have to work within certain hard constraints, and in this case getting the original
2016-era roster of actors for all the voices again wasn't possible for us.
As we said on the show, we are open to hearing constructive feedback when you find lines that just don't work for a certain Hero, or any bugs
or situations where the system isn't working properly. So please continue to share that.
One reason I wanted to write this post though, is to respectfully appeal to you not allow this topic to drown out the very much needed
feedback our team is expecting from the Open Test, specifically on Perks, Breach, and Hero Balance. Feedback on those things is crucial to us, and I'm worried too many folks are getting distracted piling on to this topic.
One last thing, speaking of piling on. I would also like to say that the numerous threads and posts targeting Roman are just too much. I know
that he knew by going on the show today he'd be taking a lot of hate from people, and I deeply respect him for taking on that role. It's a
hard message to deliver when you are telling someone that you aren't going to get the thing you want. But he's not a king, guys. He's the
head of the project, and he comes on the Warrior's Den to represent the team. And in this case he was representing and incredibly talented,
hardworking team of devs who put a lot of themselves into this new system, and who spent multiple days reading hateful things about them
and their work. Personal attacks on Roman, and on anyone else on the dev team, are unwarranted and I ask that they stop, please.
As the players who have been with us since launch know, we've maintained an incredibly close relationship with our community, and the
people of this subreddit specifically. That relationship has been an important element of how we've made For Honor the success it has become,
and we have no plans on changing that. Of course we are not always going to agree on a given topic, and we can't always make the changes
you want us to, but I do believe we can maintain our mutual respect, as it leads to great things for the game we all love. Thanks for reading.

RDS itself as an idea is cool, but you can't have a Warden sound like a teenage boy. Tell the voice actor to gruff it up, not anime it up.
to be fair, it's hard to try and get to the same level of gruff as liam o'brien when all he does is his illidan voice
My big concern with Marching Fire is that the new characters are unmasked, so they're a person with a face and not just a soldier fighting in wars, which is a big part of the appeal for myself and quite a few others I think. The characters look far and away above my skill ceiling so I won't be playing them anytime soon either.
Plus with what happened with Highlander and Shaman in terms of faces, I hope they get some good rigging because a voice without a way to move lips kills any immersion.

The War games are my most Favorite category and have just started this honor game, really amazing graphics can not believe it was released 3 years ago.

I love seeing this right under his comment that shows he got banned in the space of a day.
I'm disappointed but not exactly surprised.
Honestly I want proper armor on all of the originals. Especially Raider.
The detail on all of the new armor pieces are amazing... but not for this one in my opinion.
It makes warden look like he walked out of the lord of the rings set, and the proportions are simply off in such a way that it really fails to convey anything of his original character. Not to mention, as the twitch chat rather quickly commented on (and spammed of course), the front cloth makes warden look like he's wearing an apron, and messes with the proportions of the lower half making the entire ensemble look poorly put together, like a budget medieval film.
imo there should be more armors that look like something out of LOTR though
Plus I feel like Warden has wayy too many pointy armour pieces in the sets. I can make at least 7 variations of Warden edgelords of the pointy bits to pick from. We need more smooth and perhaps slightly bulky armor sets to balance that.
Only 5 days left. To preorder the expansion now or day 1 does it really matter because I've been looking forward to this AND talks of further development!

So marching fire is 30$ for 4 characters and a new map with gamemode?
The only thing you get for the purchase is access to the Arcade game mode and the Elite outfits. Everything else is free (Breach, and the three maps) with the characters accessible to everyone else in 2 weeks, for 15k steel each.
You get the characters unlocked, the arcade mode, and the special outfits for Wu-Lin by purchasing marching fire. Keep in mind the arcade can be accessed without it by being invited by someone who has it.
got marching fire and arcade mode is fun.
That is until you get to the gold tier and the final level in the set is 1 LB with lvl 2 hp regen who turtles for fucking hours and reads every single poke you try to do, and 2 ninjas with respawn which are not that much of a problem, but love to grab you constantly.
I can handle the ninjas easily, but the LB just sits on defense for fucking days because of the HP regen. Spent an hour trying to pull it off, but every single time i got him below 50% he just turtles up and can predict everything you try to throw at him. Its even worse if you're a low damage hero because he can actively outpace your DPS entirely. What a shit show.
God the new armor looks amazing.
