Read that with 600 infamy bandits stop attacking you in Oblivion. Cue me slaughtering innocents in every city to achieve this.
Finally. One character run. Level 78. Used some mods like speed boost enchants. Ended up using heavy armor and lightning magic to dash through dungeons and kill everything super fast without being hurt at all.

I'm only a couple of achievements away from getting all the achievements on SE but I just can't be arsed to grind vampirism and go through dawnguard again.
Vampirism was probably the worst part, but also getting from 76 to 78 took forever. I ended up going Legendary on Destruction like 7 times
Conjuration is so much easier to grind. I spent a little while soul trapping the same dead body to legendary it some.
Meanwhile, I still have yet to get 2 achievements in Oldrim. Reading skill books tends to go over my head as I play multiple characters, but the mastered lycanthropy seems to be bugged for me...
I managed to get the Vampire Mastered achievement without doing the Vampire side of Dawnguard at all.
I don't know how it happened but I tried to install an ENB in the middle of a playthrough and I managed to completely fuck everything up bad enough for the game to think I was a vampire. I think I was a werewolf at the time.
At least Vampirism felt less grindy than Lycanthropy.
I kinda hope they don't actually include achievements for those in the next games or somehow make your werewolf/vampire skills scale very well with your level, or allow you to level your beast side from regular killing.
My only qualm was that I couldn't loot as a vampire lord. The constant transforming was annoying.
States should be just that; states. Not a complete change of in game stats and dword definitions/entries. Any character should just be able to be flagged and then get the correct set of modifiers appended to their base traits and definitions, and any mesh based represetations of that shold just use a base universal skeleton and behavior range.
Making altered-state characters with a altered mesh and behaviors under the current model is clunky as hell.
Well that's Bethesda for you.
I don't mind warping into another mesh. I don't like how you get the 'ultimate' form immediately. A preferable way would be having you progressively get a more awesome vampire Lord mesh. But for me it's annoying that changing state takes a lot of time and in many ways makes you weaker, like no map or inventory.
Paralyze working exactly as intended;

Rag-dolling paralysis always bugs out like that on draugr, usually hitting them with another rag-dolling effect will free them up.
I'm considering getting ESO when the next steam sale hits but I've been advised against buying the game on steam as it turns out there is a connectivity issue which leads to people not being able to play the game for a couple of months.
Normally I'd get the non-steam version in a situation like this however buying the game on steam will cost me way less in the long run due to steam's regional pricing. (Stuff like eso plus and crowns cost about 40-45 percent less)
Now the question would be whether the said issue is a common occurance that has no fix until it randomly gets fixed by itself because I do remember the time when my ex couldn't get the game to launch (or update) after playing for over 500 hours and even with the help of the support she couldn't get it to launch only until she randomly decided to check the summerset update after a couple of months. It was magically fixed somehow but I've also seen people saying that they have to use VPN in order to get the launcher to update and shit like that.
Yesterday while playing ESO the game refused to log me out when I wanted to switch character so I was forced to just restart the whole game instead. Of course my account was stuck as logged in so I was unable to play and closed the game which then froze my computer. After rebooting, steam forgot the game was installed even though all the files were still there, an issue that can apparently happen when steam isn't shut down properly so I had to free up ~90 gigs to allocate enough space for content that was already there. I had hoped I could just verify the existing installation but that is only possible once a game is registered as fully installed on steam. I return home after the download is done but of course instead of just starting the game, it opens a launcher that then has to download an additional ~65 gigs of patches (mabe more, it's still going).
Once it's done I'm going to make an offline backup of my installation which will hopefully reduce the installation time if this happens again in the future, but with the Murkmire DLC released 2 weeks ago requiring a ~65 gigs download I'm going to have to make new backups for ever DLC released.
Tl;dr Fuck this game. It's been nothing but trouble.
Moved on from Oblivion after murdering to death every person in each kingdom.
Skyrim is now my jam. I do appreciate the upgrade in melee combat. Ever since my switch from a stealth archer to a heavy armor dude my fun has risen exponentially.
I can’t remember
is ES blades coming on consoles or just phones
Isn't it coming to VR as well?
it is
Skyrim is 7 years old today.
This is the longest gap between mainline games, the longest one previously being Morrowind, which came out almost 6 years after Daggerfall.
Might aswell just not even bother with other platforms when Mobile is the fucking focus.
my friend, it will get longer.
And not because they are switching to a new engine.
Hope you realize its still Creation Engine just updated
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/bethesda-will-use-an-upgraded-version-of-the-creation-engine-for-the-elder-scrolls-6-and-starfield/
"upgrade"
Ha, what a load of shit, I wish they'd just fucking stop using it already, instead they give excuses like the community knows to use it and blah blah, no fuck off, the community can adapt, it's you retards being stubborn that's the issue.
Dumping nearly two decades of built experience in working with a specific engine in order to switch to a more recent one is a scary prospect for any developer out there, and it certainly isn't a miracle issue in most cases.
By this point in time the issues with the engine are more than apparent, they could develop a new engine but they're obviously just choosing not to because they think they can keep extending this engine out further, despite the fucking issues.
Maybe if they weren't so lazy at times it wouldn't be as big of a deal, I don't know really.
