The Elder Scrolls v. Chim is for bitches, Amaranth is the real deal

Then you need to narrow your search to "realistic" because "lore friendly" is fuck off huge weapons and silly shapes. There was another mod that is older and may not be up to date but it essentially created "variants" where you would have realistic shaped swords made of any of the materials (for example they had a "long sword" that could be steel, orcish, glass, etc with the textures and damages being the difference of course) but it kept the weapon shapes fairly mundane and simple to reflect real life utility over form.

Lost Longswords is pretty good
I have some other mods but I'm on mobile right now
If you find the time to post again, I'd very much appreciate it if you could post the others you know of.
As expected the CC update for Skyrim busted my game, and running with the updated skse64 components just CTDs instantly upon game load.
The latest patch also fucked ENB in a rather interesting way

you got that weed mod also, that's the issue.
Something I just realized that I kind of like about Skyrim's opening is that the Imperial Legion gagged Ulfric Stormcloak on the way to his execution to keep him from using his Thu'um. That's something I didn't realize until just now, about to kill the dude in Windhelm.
If you like that, you might like this:
If you're doing the main quest, when you get to Sovngarde
Make sure you pay attention to the giant statues of hooded figures.
They turn to look at you, when you don't look at them.
I installed Convenient Horses pretty much blindly, expecting it to work like it did in oldrim. Turns out the guy overhauled the mod, made it less convenient and more about repeatedly and tediously training your horse instead of just letting you whistle to it and making the stupid nag not fucking run at dragons with a deathwish.
I initially realized that it had no MCM anymore and had to check the comments on the page only to find out the mod had grown immensely unpopular and can't be removed from your saves without causing a CTD upon trying to load it (not even actually going through the load, mind you, just clicking on continue is enough).
I guess I'll never buy a horse because I'm stuck with this mod and the instant I fucking touch a horse it'll send me down some rabbit hole of taking like half a year of ingame time to get my horse to even control properly
I'm somehow seeing Goatse in that image
You motherfuckers. I was perfectly content with not seeing that.
Now I'm REALLY concerned about it saying "begin your new life"
welp time to dive to ll with some other mods
After playing ESO for a couple of months I decided mod the shit outta Skyrim:SE so what mods would you recommend?
Well, Convenient Horses had me just throw my character in the trash. I figured I should at least try the features it implements, but touching a horse that's not yours and buying one later will forever bug out the quest with seemingly no hope of restoring it.
As a PSA I highly advise anyone playing on special edition to stay away from that trashfire. It's useless and a waste of time, which is a massive shame seeing how the mod for oldrim used to be, well, convenient.
I've never found a horse mod for skyrim that didn't horribly break everything and leave some nasty scripts running in your save
You really don't want to see the LL horse mods then.

I was wondering what LL horses meant since I still refer to it in my mind as Lover Slab
So, I've played through the latest batch of CC content and updates, and it's a pleasing batch for once. The updates are largely insignificant for most people, so there's no point talking about them, but the new creations aren't too bad.
Arms of Chaos is the weakest of the lot. While the items don't look too bad, and it's nice to see something tying back to Arena and a quest that takes the player to uncommon areas, the effects on the items are pretty mediocre, and I can't see most players using them over other items they can find or make.
Shadowfoot Sanctum is a solid player home, especially for someone that wants a house near the Thieves Guild. It's not too big or overly decorated, and it contains most of the crafting stations a player could need. It's got a secret entrance out into the Riften Docks, and a hidden room with plenty of places to put weapons/armour and unique items, including a spot for the Nightingales gear. It's a pleasing home, it'd just be nice if it was more easily accessible, as the main entrance requires you go into the Ratway.
Spell Knight Armour is pretty good. The quest for it isn't too detailed or all that long, but it's got a choice at the end that changes your reward, and the armours themselves look really nice. It would have been nice if all three armours didn't share the same base model, but they do at least add extra elements on as you go up the tiers, unlike the Vigil Enforcer pack where it was almost all just different textures. All of the armours are craftable at the end of the quest as well, which is a nice trend I hope they continue.
Umbra is surprisingly good. The sword's design is good update to Oblivion's version (even if it has returned to being a two-handed sword like in Morrowind), and while the enchantment on it isn't amazing (but at least better than it was in Oblivion), the stats are equal to a Daedric Greatsword, making it viable for use late game. As for the dungeon, it feels like it could be in vanilla Skyrim, as it's not too long or trying to something to be something too special, but still contains some unique assets (as far as I'm aware) and an interesting way of handling the fight at the end. If nothing else, it's a better fight than the Oblivion version. Plus, there's a minor detail in the fight that I imagine will be appreciated by anyone that's played Oblivion extensively.
All in all, I can't say that this is a bad batch. Nice items, nice new areas, nice ways of tying into existing lore. Definitely less of a disappointment than the last batch, if nothing else.
no, Salman, no.
should i reinstall skyrim se or not and what benefits does the skyrim se brings to the table over oldrim?
It's more stable, it has better shadows and "indirect lighting" (lol, no) than 32 without an enb. That's it.
What are you talking about? It does have indirect lighting. Some times light shines straight through walls, you don't get much more indirect than that.
From my point of view that's extremely direct.
Your definition of bounce illumination is literally pedantic, and the "ii" in 64 is shat upon vigorously by ENB. The caveat is ENB's IBL will cut your framerate in literal half on the highest quality implementation.
I spent literally years of my life in this game, with Skyrim playability, Skyrim mods I think I'm going to spending a whole lot more.
There just a fair mods for Oblivion that I wish I could bring back to Skyrim just for this.
Armour mods, mostly.
I'm pretty sure Janus was being sarcastic so I'm not sure why you're trying to argue with him or why you're bringing up ENB.
P sure all the tentacle bikini mods have been ported already :P
