Yeah, the Bloom and HDR is fucky in Oblivion because it was an early implementation of it. you can't even use anti aliasing with the HDR on because i guess beth couldn't figure out how to use both at the same time.
Don't know if anyone plays Blades here, but I was wondering if anyone knew if enchanting or tempering armor increases its repair cost? Or is it just tied to the tier of the armor?

if youre able to run docker its basically open access to play skyrim together right now. for those who dont want to read: skse code was removed with help from the skse team and theyre working toward open sourcing the project at some point
You don't need docker, they install a server exe in your Skyrim folder.
Speaking of phone games, I didn't realize that there was an OpenMW Android app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=is.xyz.omw It's actually very playable. I've got all my mods running on it and it runs stable 60 with max view distance on my OnePlus 6t. The controls are actually pretty smart, using the touch screen is actually fairly easy for inventory management and dialogue. My biggest complaint is that walking vs running is hard to do, going the correct speed to stop draining stamina is difficult on the analogue input.
does anyone know what time elsweyr will release? is it gonna be midnight?
I think it should be somewhere around 10-12PM PDT.
Polygon did a fantastic interview with the original Bethesda crew, specifically around the time Redguard and then Morrowind were made. The Kirkbride parts are off the chain: Kirkbride on Redguard: The unsung hero of The Elder Scrolls is probably Kurt Kuhlmann, and he was hired on the same day I was. He did these exclusive quests for JCPenney or some shit, for Daggerfall, and we had this grand idea for like a pirates-on-Mars game. We’re all talking about tech we didn’t have, and we pitched this idea to Todd at the time, and he’s like, “You know what? I like pirates. And everybody knows this game Daggerfall. So let’s just make a pirate game in Daggerfall.” And we’re like, “Fuck yeah.” Ken Rolston (Bethesda's original RPG daddy) on Kirkbride:  He was absolutely essential. And also crazy as a rat in a drainpipe. More Kirkbride: I used to have this thing with Todd, because he was one of the ones that’s like, “Let’s not make it too weird.” So I’d bamboozle him. There was a period where I would actually draw two different versions of a monster — the one that was weird and that I wanted to be in the game, and then one that was fucking crazy. And so I’d go to Todd, and I’m like, “OK, I think I’ve got the mid-level creature set.” And I’d show him a picture. He’d be like, “Nah, dude, that’s crazy.” Then I’d go back to my office and I would act like I was drawing something new, and I’d just come back with the original drawing of what I really wanted to be in there. Like, “Hey, is this what you were thinking?” And he’d be all, “Oh, yeah, that’s much better. That’s great.” ... I do remember going, “Hey, does that mean Sermon Fourteen went through?” And Ken’s like, “Yeah, why?” I’m like, “OK, never mind.” He says, “No. Why?” I’m like, “You’ve read it.” And he goes, “Yeah, but should I read it closer?” Because it was like a holy treatise on blowjobs, heavily veiled in this made-up holy language. So it makes me laugh that, you know, 11-year-old Timmy’s like, “Hey, Mom. Check out this Xbox game!” Todd on the Xbox port: You could do a trick on the original Xbox, which was that you could reboot it during a load screen. So you could put up an image that stayed there, reboot your game, and people who play it on the Xbox won’t be able to tell. But those of us who worked on the game can tell you: “That load screen? Your Xbox is actually rebooting the game.” It just couldn’t handle the memory situation, so we had to clear it out. And it actually worked really, really well. That was one of our final tricks. Our Hail Mary. Honestly worth a full read, seemed like a really interesting and special time in the industry and they go on to talk about design necessary changes with Oblivion, Bethesda being close to going out of business, how the lore was created, how busted Morrowind was, and they're all pretty candid. None of the usual corporate veneer. Pete Hines obviously has fuck all of interest to say, though.
holy shit the Morrowind android thing is dope
Shame my Android tablet is 4.4.2...
I just finished Lost Spires for Oblivion i have no idea why this is considered one of the best quest mods for oblivion i can admire that the dude made it himself and it's as big as it is, but my god some of the decisions are so awful and mind-boggling
New expansion's kinda cool, zone's not too exciting and necromancer's strong but doesn't feel too necromancer-y, at least early on. Going to hit 50 before I give a strong judgement on the class. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/223964/289daec2-acc4-4e79-8bd4-e893fa14952c/uwu.jpg

maybe its me being a crosseyed freak but i can't tell the difference
It jury-rigs third person into first person so objects further away from you move slower than objects closer to you when panning the camera, like objects do in real life.
oooh look at you with your fancy two-speed distance viewing and your two eyes that point the same directions what a life you must lead and be good at tennis
That's pretty freaking amazing. I never thought about it before, but I watched the first example in the video, then moved my head in real life and went, "Yeah, that is what that actually looks like." Sorry Disco, maybe next they'll add smellivision or something.
What a sensationalist video title but the effect is a great idea, it's just overdone in the video. It's not like he's not just turning his head but moving his whole body around instead. When he looks up and down, it's like he grows a few inches in size and then shrinks.
I think you're just jealous you can't mod any better. Check yourself before you wreck yourself, kid. B^)
Some games do that already, like halo
I tried this and, I think it's because it's technically using third person mode and the animations are different for moving, it adds atrocious input lag when moving around usually. I'm not gonna do an analysis on it but it feels like between 1/4 and 1/3 of a second delay when moving. Enough that I felt just disgusting using it and immediately had to turn it off.
Hate to post something off topic, but I'm going mad trying to find the Fallout threads Did it close? On topic: Skyrim VR on PS4 has not been played since I lasted posted about it like.. 50 years ago The whole thing about: *loads up Skyrim* "I don't wanna play Skyrim." Is very real.
I've been getting into E:SO. Level... 37 I think? Stamblade. It's p. nice. Nicer than I thought it would be.
Apparently Qbetex was the OP and deleted their account, and with the way this place is set up that resulted in the whole thread getting deleted. That's what people have said over in the Forum Discussion thread, at least.
Noooooo.
facepunch dies not by garry's hand, but simply by its users losing interest. i'm finding it harder and harder to keep coming here tbh, as my interests start going towards other things in my life.
on that note i just learned 17 years later that the skooma pipe in morrowind can be used as a really shitty alembic in the alchemy screen
don't do it tho, that skooma residue is bound to get you hooked. One dose is all it takes, 5 and you're hooked for life
