How do I get into up to date CK2 (Not played much since release) without paying upwards of £150? I know it's god knows how many years since it came out but that's Train Simulator levels of DLC. I have none of the DLC beyond the stuff I got when I brought the game (Song packs and Portrait packs). Is there anything I can do other than cough up an absolute fuck-ton of money?

So Stellaris is getting a console port running on version 1.7. Why is stellaris getting a console port is the real question.
Money
Diversification is a source of good moola. Plus, if any grand strategy game is going to be ported to a console, it's gotta be Stellaris
I always felt like Stellaris' UI could be fairly easily be ported to work on a gamepad. I support this endeavor. Not with money, but with my heart
Same, I'm not vexed by this existing, not with the current trajectory of Stellaris's updates towards Space Victoria. Now, if this was announced Pre-2.0... Yeah I'd be a bit concerned that we'd be looking at another Diablo 3-ish situation where it was glaringly obvious it was a Console game that had a PC Early-Access.
Well to get the whole experience you would need all of the DLC, but to be completely honest it's not necessary. I suggest reading a bit about each of the DLC and seeing what interests you. I would get way of life, legacy of rome, old gods and maybe sons of abraham to begin with, and perhaps wait for a good deal for the rest. Conclave and reapers due are good too but they can make the game much more difficult and annoying sometimes with council fucking you over or black death popping up just as you're getting ready for war.
Sea mines! https://twitter.com/podcat_paradox/status/1031914536222306304
With luck they'll actually be useful.

Can we talk about Cities Skylines here? Because I want to talk about Cities Skylines.
It had its own thread, but it would only get posts like every two months and was recently locked so I'd say go right ahead Show us your horrifying spaghetti interchanges
I dunno, you might drown out all of this heated discussion we have in this thread.
Well, I've got two big questions. How do people play this game? How do people stop playing this game? It's overwhelming but I have a flurry of imagined grand cities with little idea of how to accomplish them, at least in a way that's properly 'earned'. The big problem I'm facing, other than learning how to design a city in the first place, is how to get the ball rolling in a 'forwards compatible' way? A lot of the time I build myself into a corner and can't add the new things I unlock with my constantly growing population. Also how do you adjust props in parks that you've already placed?

I usually take it neighborhood by neighborhood, since that is a natural way to deal with RCI demand anyway. My cities tend to just kinda sprawl out from the original highway connection, with focus on hugging existing highways so I can build overpass interchanges every 2-5km or so. As for finding space for future things, redevelopment is absoltuely necessary. Don't be afraid to demolish your entire downtown to resize the blocks and fit in unlocked buildings - if anything, the new tourism and leisure boom will make it grow even faster than before. Also building wide before building tall is always good to keep your expansion in check - Redevelop older low-density areas near the city center into being high density, complete with higher capacity roads and public transit.
Anyone feel like critiquing my first attempt at a city? Like, sending the save or pictures of it...

Seems people don't like the idea of their only being one Consul, que them not changing this decision then having it come out in later DLC.
OH HELL YEAH https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/2422250350102861285/E4AE56020B5E96C338CBAECC84E2646243CC4E9F/ https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/946206914237096895/E2735061EFAE1C48C22CF9FFD8A77B6C9928009C/
I feel bad for needing to demolish people's homes.
Just pretend that it is ~10 years of redevelopment taking place instantaneously for brevity's sake. Or maybe these houses are really old and condemned. Or maybe they willingly sold the property for a huge profit. Anything to make it seem like less of a dick move!
but the game puts a big sad face up when i do it
