I'm 70% certain it is reach, 25% certain it's something else, and 5% certain it's MCC PC.

If it is Reach, I hope that its also alongside proper armor customization making a return, cause that was a big part of that game.

tbh that should be fixed across the board in MCC. 3 and 4 only allow you to choose complete sets, which the originals allowed you to mix and match.

MCC alone would be neat if it isn't a trainwreck, but imagine it was... everything

I'd love it if they went the extra mile and let you use custom armor in singleplayer in all games.

H3/ODST campaigns in ElDewrito allow this but I've never seen it work on 360 games because of the different ways tags load in between SP and MP modes

As far as I can tell it isn't setup the same way. Back when save game modding was a thing on Xbox One, I dumped a saved Forge map from Halo 3. Tag indices for placed Forge objects still had enormous numbers (in Halo Online, tags are assigned indices sequentially, so you can't have tag indices of some large number like 2000000 unless there are that many tags), implying it was still using the conventional Halo system of separate tag caches. It still could be using the shared tag cache like HO, but it doesn't really seem that way. I honestly prefer that system in a modding sense, anyway. Sharing HO mods was a pain in the dick, because you had to make sure everyone had the same tag indices otherwise some mods wouldn't work right. With a potential MCC PC port you'd just copy the modded .map file in and as long as everyone had the same file it would work.
