I just saw that LOL
but still no word about play anywhere
Yeah I'm pretty sure its on the Microsoft Store as well
I'm not surprised, it was released a few years before that program.
Was there anything said about centering out the crosshairs instead of the awkwardly lowered view? I'd really prefer to play the later games with things centered, since you can look vertically far faster with a mouse than needing that view by necessity for analog sticks.

You wont need to pay for Xbox Live Gold or anything to play online right?
No word on minimum OS requirements, just Windows?
No mention of Play Anywhere in the news page

Considering it's going to require an XBL account on Steam its going to be cross play I think.
with it being on steam, now i'm curious if they're going to support win7. i wasn't even thinking that was going to be on the table, since it seemed like it'd be windows store (and thus win10) exclusive.
On Xbox
No, if it's like other titles, you'll just need to link your account. None of the PC available Xbox games need a live subscription to play.
I'm glad, not just because of Halo MCC but also I manged to get the first threads on everything.
It's a short lived glory.
MCC ON PC WOO
if there really is no play anywhere I will be incredibly bummed out

Xbox account will just be for cross compat saves. They've done this before.
This also raises the chances of Halo Infinite being launched on PC out of the gate, doesn't it?
i think that was confirmed when they announced infinite?
I think they're including that in the program Microsoft is doing where exclusive games will be available on both Xbox and PC
Interesting that the steamdb page mentions store and cd key. Is it like that for every game?
The one thing I'm surprised by is no Halo 5. I know, I know, "we're better off" etc. but they've already put some of the work in with Forge so its weird they'd leave this out
I'm guessing you'll be able to buy a bundle on the MCC page for $60, with each title being like $25 separate.
No custom edition/ modding tools= no buy for me I'm afraid. If I eventually do it would probably be just for reach.

We don't know this yet.
All in due time I guess. They updated MCC big time 4 years after it came out, and now they're adding Reach, so it's obvious that Microsoft's turning this whole thing into a sort of growing platform going forwards. I wouldn't be surprised if after Halo 5's finally leaned off of, it would be added to the collection formally. After all, Halo 3 to Reach and even 4 are all still backwards compatible on Xbox One independently of the MCC, so it's not like there is no precedent for this sorta thing.
It was announced as a PC Launch title back when it was announced.
I'm sad TotalBiscuit didn't live to see this day, he wanted MCC on pc so badly
