I think it's kind of ironic that Sylvannas, as much as she hated Arthas, is now becoming a lot like him. I wonder if she is going down the same road and becoming a "Lich Queen", so to speak. She'd have to either be put down or imprisoned. I bet they will not kill her off but she will be captured and taken hold of (much like Illdan) to be brought back in another expansion where she ends up being a boss or a catalyst for another world-ending event or something. Blizzard definitely has something planned for her and it's likely not going to be a simple "kill her off" kind-of-thing.

One minor want I have for the future Azshara-themed patch is that it involves Nar'jira, aka the Battlemaiden you play as in Vashj'ir. I was replaying through the zone last night and I think she'd make a great raid boss, given she's powerful enough to defeat a large-scale kvaldir siege practically on her own. "Remember that overpowered naga lady you played as once? Now you're on the receiving end of her trident!"

it's going to be some absolute lowest of tripe bullshit where she redeems herself just like Kerrigan in Starcraft 2. fuck i hated starcraft 2's plot. irrelevant to this thread but i had to force myself through the protoss campaign of it because it was so poorly written and boring. only alarak was interesting.

I think she'll either die or, like I've previously said, get the same god-awful redemption story as Kerrigan in Starcraft 2. Frankly, she's done too much evil to simply be imprisoned. She's anathema to every living thing, and like you said, the line between her and the Lich King is practically gone by now. Why anyone would want for her to stand trial like Garrosh is beyond me, and a swift death is all she could hope for. I mean, fuck, there is zero doubt that Sylvanas intends to create an undead paradise, with her as an immortal ruler. Her actions since Cataclysm is prove of this: making a pact with the val'kyr who will keep her alive so long as there's some of them around, and using them to resurrect dead humans to bolster her ranks. Then yeah, she's quiet for a time, until Legion, where she basically goes full-blazing into the whole "it's all about me", making a deal with Helya so she could enslave Eyir and effectively become the leader of all val'kyr by proxy. Now, come BfA, she is deploying the Forsaken's own plague at pleasure, she plans to have her sisters assassinated (but backs out at the last minute), she has become a control freak (as seen in 'Before the Storm', where she murders everyone present (well, almost everyone) at the meeting between Forsaken and their still living relatives because of her paranoia, and she considers everyone under her as little more than tools to keep herself alive.

I think that Bolvar should just fly down like an angel and throw a spear through her head. There can only be one Lich king/queen.

fucking Lor'themar deserves to rule the Horde. or vol'jin i suppose. infact, you know who deserves to rule the horde? 'Orgbankalt' level 2 orc warrior would be a better option.

I really hope they don't pull another Kerrigan because I could only get 2 or 3 missions into Heart of the Swarm before the utter awfulness of the story turned me off that franchise for good.

I'm still hoping for the death faction tbh. Half the forsaken break off and follow Sylvannas. The other half remain behind, rallying around calia menethil Other undead factions, like the San'layn that everyone was freaking out about, join sylvannas. She fucks off to northrend and joins forces with Bolvar- together they start their own third player faction, with purple heraldry. Saurfang, gets to be warchief of the Horde, advised by the spirit of vol'jin. It's a pretty massive jump, but I can't really see anything else living up to the hype surrounding bfa. Neither the Horde or Alliance can actually win the war, that would be stupid, but at the same time if the expansion marketed entirely around the faction war ends without any significant change to the factions or the state of the war- it's going to feel really fucking cheap.

blizzard's whole development of WoW post-WOTLK defines 'cheap'

The prospect of adding new major factions to both the lore and the gameplay has surfaced since the time of The Burning Crusade (there were people who thought that the Blood Elves and the Naga had all the reasons to renounce Illidan and band with other monstrous but misunderstood races to form a new power, for instance). Even if such ideas are very suggestive, even a third faction would basically fuck up the pvp system, so kiss the whole prospect goodbye for good

Playing this pre-patch has made me realize that bfa is probably going to be a very fucking underwhelming expansion, I mean Legion had it's problems but it was at least far out there with new scenery and dynamics, now we're just being given artifact armor with less impact and a stat squish that's broken the game and made leveling completely fucked so you better not want to play another class anytime soon.

Not to mention the fact that the squish has broken an awful lot of current content without the new patch offering any sort of new content. Until the actual even is on, in a weeks time, there's not really much point playing. I'm just farming marks of prey while the PVP lakes are still populated.

For in case you folks aren't aware, if you cleared Desolace already you can go to Karnum's Glade and talk to the tauren called Karnum Marshweaver to get exalted rep with the two centaur factions from way back to vanilla. It doesn't award any items or anything but it's good news for completionists/achiev hunters.

Man killing shit at low level takes time and it's fucking hard too. Made a DK and at 58 I can't even take on more than like 4 mobs at once I like it, it could be a little bit faster tho, dungeons take forever

Yeah instead of it being trivially easy to do content that doesn't matter and has been done by most players 100 times over everything is just spongy instead, p good. You're fooling yourself if you think having to press slightly more buttons to kill something is making people pay attention, most people still just turn their brains off til 110 only now it stupid amounts of time to get there.
