Is the quest bug fixed?
I was on last night and it seemed fixed.
The moment sylvanas said "Life is pain" in the cinematic, I lost it because all I could hear was Jerma screaming "LIFE IS PAIN I HATE". I laughed like a lunatic as she ordered to burn down the tree. I think summer toasted my brain.
whats up with the poor selection of polearms in this game. you try to make a sentinel outfit for a night elf warrior and there's like absolutely no weapons befitting for it other than extremely dated vanilla polearms that have 2 colours and 5 polygons
mop has some good polearms, but idk about for a night elf sentinel mog. there are a couple solid looking models coming in bfa - check out Halberd of the Unwary Guard and Twin-Strike Polearm, both from dungeons. 7th Legionnare's Halberd too, assume that's from warfronts.
ya that's odd how the tree suddenly was like 100 feet away from the shore.
I'm usually not one to let suspension of disbelief get in the way of things, but actual burning of the tree is so hard to accept. Infinite range catapults and only a few burning rocks to destroy a world tree in a matter of seconds? Suuure. And like you can argue they cinematic was edited in a way that makes it seem quicker, but wasn't the whole point to force that night elf lady to watch? If it took hours to burn what was she doing that whole time? Just playing cards until the tree was sufficiently burned to make a dramatic pose in front of?
Archimonde rn: "fuck why didnt i think of that"
You see Sylvanas run off from Malfurion, get on Tyrande's hippogryph and fly off to Darnassus. By the time you get there it's already on fire.
I feel like these spicy rocks having the power to burn a world tree would have made a lot more sense had the burning been premeditated. I can believe the catapults having OP range- Sylvanas actually brags about the Horde's new goblin engineered catapults having improved power and rang. But idk something about just using mundane fire to burn a magical tree of life in the middle of the ocean seems a bit off? I get that it's a fantasy game, but that just makes it feel even weirder imo. In fantasy settings usually big important magical problems require big important magical solutions. It would have been cool if you could have seen the forsaken and goblins developing fucking azurite napalm during the build up to the war of thorns.
Don't know why they didn't just use the goblin mini-zepps you see floating around all through the event
Should've used magical planet blood rock for it tbh.
shitty, lazy writing with no thought put into it
Also poor selection of glaives pre-legion. I don't know if there are glaives for non-demon hunters now but back during Cata, I was making a transmog set for my druid to look like the demon hunter NPCs from Vanilla (ie. no chest armor, blindfolded, glaive weapon). Only decent one I could find was the glaive from the 25 man Colosseum raid that drops from Anub'arak in Wrath but it still looked (and was held) almost like a staff.
There are four really glaives as far as I can remember. Warglaives of Azzinoth and the three added in Legion.
so apparently the reaction and resistance to the tree fire from Saurfang is detailed in a book that only comes with the collector's edition?????????? like why the fuck is important story points that fix a lot of issues people have with the story stuck under a special edition of the game that a minotrity of players will buy
They are going to make those stories available for free online.
Should still be in game.
i can't decide if i wanna main DH or Druid tank for BFA, any suggestions?
This time on legions launch I was boosting out characters with the legion invasions for "What if?" scenarios of wanting to play other classes actually looking forward to the expansion, now I'm slogging through levelling one character. What a fucking chore it is to level anything in this game anymore.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aW_h0qf9vpA It's been like this since at least Cataclysm and it's really annoying. I don't want to have to buy a book or a special edition to get key story details and or context for events that happen in the game.
wow that was cool as fuck. Glory to the new Warchief, Saurfang.
Saurfang deserves his warriors death not warchief.
hey straight up right now if sylvanas kills saurfang in a cutscene i'm going to run her wing of lfr 10 times a week even for no loot just to watch her die
When Sylvanas dies or gets the boot, I want the Horde to move to a council of chiefs without a singular warchief. With the excuse that they learned through Garrosh and Sylvanas that no one person can represent all the people of the Horde.
horde needs a democracy enough of this hitler tyrant dictator bullshit already
He won't get it fighting for Sylvanas' Horde. He's probably the only character that could turn it around.
Saurfang is either going to become Warchief, or die killing Sylvanas.
So for BFA how are warrior and shaman? I know I want to roll both eventually, but don't know which I want to do now and which to save for my Zandalari.
