I hated having a fist weapon for the entire expansion as an elemental shaman. I basically never saw my weapon because of it.
Having only one weapon (or two if it was a main+offhand) for a whole xpac sucks. I'm glad that they opted to put into a slot that doesn't affect you visually or force you to one category of weapons transmogs.
Theres a portal in boralus? I have my hearthstone set, I just dont want to use it if I dont have to
You watch the portals activate, under the Inn and above the fishing vendors. There's a portal to Boralus in the mage tower.

The main quest forces you to not only walk into that room, but also talk to an NPC and ask them to open the portals to the major cities.

You don't have to wait for the boat to go from Stormwind to Boralus either.
In the room you arrive in when you port to Stormwind there's a portal to Boralus, so you can just use that.
I finished all the stuff in Kul Tiras and all the 7th legion stuff up to when you have to raise your rep with them only to realize none of these actually unlock the kul tiran humans, now I'm stuck at Siege of Boralus because I don't have the gear level nor the group to do that, and I have no idea how to continue now past grinding world quests. I actually don't have any allied races unlocked at all, was hoping the rep grind thing was only a pre-patch early access thing, kinda disappointed a bit.
Gotta say, I was expecting some more badass mojo from Rastakhan.
Starting from Cataclysm and Rise of the Zandalari, all the way up to Pandaria, Rastakhan was pictured as this beyond-life powerful emperor shrouded in mystery with the single-minded goal of securing the future of his own people no matter the cost and the lifes of other races lost. Also, additional lore materials portrayed Rastakhan as the most powerful witch doctor the troll race had ever seen, having such a control on the old, alchemic arts that he basically achieved immortality or something.
In Battle for Azeroth, however, Rastakhan's power is easily toppled by a inside revolt and the man is pretty much forced to become Bwonsamdi's bitch in order to attempt to regain his seat. And even then, it's not enough.
A pretty diminishing portrayal, if you don't mind me saying
loosing in pandaria might have hurt his standing and power considerably.
Kul Tirans won't unlock until 8.1.

I got the impression that all of those things may have been true previously, but by the time we arrive his power has diminished significantly and he's grown lazy/soft. He still attempts to give the impression he's mighty and most of Zandalar is still loyal to him, but he's overly reliant on his advisers by the time we show up. Bear in mind he's lived way longer than most trolls so we're probably seeing him after his glory days.

What do the zeppelins do in Kul-tiras? I keep seeing them and I just knowing I'm missing something crucial

So are shamans really in as bad a spot as I keep hearing? It's hard to tell because the WoW community loves to cry murder at every change, but I was really hoping to roll a zandalari shaman when the time comes. Hopefully it'll be fixed by then but as it stands now, how is it?
I'm particularly interested in enhancement, but elemental sounds fun too.
I got my ass kicked by a shaman recently so probably not.
Enhancement sucks because they lost all their artifact stuff. Elemental is still pretty fun and has good utility. Resto is still good for healing, I’ve been doing well in normals and heroics with it (and a few Battlegrounds).

Is that from a named mob on a world quest? I've been noticing that the loot they reward is the same loot they drop when you kill them as a rare, so it's probably just the case you haven't killed that guy yet so you got the loot he drops as a rare, which is 270ish ilvl, and the loot you get for completing the WQ.
As an Ele main all of Legion, I think the exact opposite. Elemental feels garbage, and I've been having a blast on Enhancement like I never did in Legion.
I feel like Shaman is just sorta busted, lots of things for all specs don't work properly. Really hoping 8.1 does good by us.
So I got a quick question for y'all..
A friend recently got me into WoW about a month ago.. actually a month ago exactly today. But, I'm still super nooby with it all. I'm 120 and I've started working through my War Campaign but what else should I be doing? Also, what is this "reset" everyone is talking about? What resets?
Oh, also, does anyone have decent experience with a Windwalker Monk that I can PM? I've been playing this thing for a damn month and feel like I'm not being as efficient as I could be.
Heroic dungeons and raids can only be run once a week, the reset is when you can do them again. There's probably other things affected too.
mythic dungeons, heroic can be run once a day. the reset is tueday when that gets cleared out. this week being the first week of bfa as well nobody has any mythic+ dungeons yet which are challenge dungeons that can be done using a keystone you get as a reward each week for completing a mythic dungeon.
Mythic 0's are weekly, specific heroics are once a day, random heroics are every day

You're not alone. I've mostly mained my monk for a while as WW and it just feels not fun this expansion compared to legion. Even during the prepatch when I had gear it felt off and slower.
Seem's like demon hunter took our cleave damage as well because they're insane AoE still.
