I was going to try for Field Medic before the patch because I managed to score one of the items while leveling up but after spending an hour actively farming a second one and coming up empty handed, i feel like it's not going to happen.

Isn't the PvP season still active? I don't think it's likely that they will release prepatch during a PvP season.

I'm real lucky. I now have 3 out of 5 of the mana ray mounts.

I hate you, I've been grinding mounts for years and I have gotten next to nothing to show for it. Fuck my shitty luck.

I play with people who have been around since classic and I'm the only one in the group that has Rivendare's deathcharger and the salt is unreal.

Hey man, in my defense, I've never been this lucky. I, too, have tried to farm something for months on end with no luck.

Don't stand in fire. Try out all of the classes to see what you like the most. DON'T USE YOUR LEVEL BOOST YET.

Play with me that's a suggestion

tbh old content is pretty boring most of the time and if you start feeling it, don't be afraid to use the boost

Do a bit of research into classes and playstyle first IMO. Boosts cost a solid £40 / regional equivalent, not worth throwing away.

Don't worry about racial abilities when selecting a race, unless you can't pick between two races and use them as a tiebreaker. Just pick a character you find cool or identify with or think is hilarious or whatever.

I've literally never put a second of thought into racials. Always seems like the lamest reason to pick a race.

Best racial is the Night Elf one anyway.

I like racials that have some RP element to them, like when Blood elves could leech mana, or undead being able to eat corpses.

if you play a hunter or a lock turn off the pet taunt in dungeons

In legion there are fishing events that all but require raid groups to farm.

I somehow scrabbled up to 918 ilvl and am trying the Agatha fight and it's beating my ass. I get her down to ~30% health and find myself with no cooldowns while taking a shitload of damage. From what I've read it's one of the easiest challenges but I have no clue what to do when umbral imps spawn while I'm kiting the fuming and trying to kill the servants healing her, all while she is pulsing her AOE. To throw salt in the wound I think my best attempt was my first one

it's all about prioritizing the right imps if agatha is casting dark fury and her bubble is up, the umbral imps need to die otherwise she's going to keep ramping up her damage i'd say priority would be fuming > umbral > smoldering > servants imo

other problem I learned is thar you absolutely have to save your spell interrupt for her and only her, the channel cannot be interrupted otherwise.

I'd forgotten how long questing takes in some of the Legion zones. Been in Stormheim for 3 hours now, and I'm still only halfway.

stormheim is also one of the longest zones too though

I know, but still. It's much worse than Spires of Arak ever was, and that was an awful (questing) zone. If memory serves well, Highmountain is only marginally better.

Dark iron racial might be the best one for farming old content. There are like 30+ places you can teleport to across all expansions.

Highmountain is trivialised by flying, you just sorta zip from peak to peak doing busy work. Stormheim is a pain even with flying, because there are so many quests that want you to use a grappling hook, or enter a phased area in a certain way, or something similar that slows the whole thing down.

Oh man, I didn't know Legion Assault were this lucrative while leveling. I'm literally getting 10% of a level with each world quest done.

Personally I love stormheim. Definitely one of my favorite zones of all time. Combine that with invasions and full heirlooms and i can normally finish stormheim and do 2 invasions and be 110.

But that aside, the quests just drags on and on and on and on... There comes a point where you actually have too many quests you need to complete.
