Beat Sister Friede finally. Phenomenal final boss to the DLC, took me 15 tries to beat her finally! Her third phase was hard af but also surprisingly really fun. Ashes of Ariandel as a whole seemed pretty mehhhhh though. Maybe I'm spoiled by the other DLC in the series, but it was short and kinda boring? I hope Ringed City takes it up a notch, especially since it has 4 (?) bosses instead of 1 great boss and 1 lazy afterthought.
Ringed city puts the volume to 11
Ringed City has the hypest boss fight since Artorias Ivory King Orphan Nameless King.
I'm surprised to see how active Bloodborne's MP still is. Met tons of people so far, and all of them have been pretty friendly and even messaged me to thank me for my assistance or to ask me questions about gear I was using and everything. Only bad thing were the guys invading my summoners. All of them decked out in end game gear, tanking everything we throw of them and shrugging it off before oneshotting the entire party. Also decided to finally get through all the Chalice Dungeon bosses. Couldn't be bothered to spend all that time grinding my way through the labyrinth before but I think this time it'll be different.
Bloodborne's probably the easiest game to twink thanks to high-tier chalice dungeon blood gems. Invaders can melt players like nobody's business.
Plus the false depth and edited dungeons allow for immediate and easy access to high tier gems and DLC weapon alts. It's great for making a new run and getting to use a weapon early, but it does suck for balance.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3AbM_JRkWQ godamn the owl is cool HUGE guts and gambino vibes. i'm starting to like the fact that there is no character creation now. having a proper main protagonist has way better potential for story.
Never before had I been happier for having headphones with a built in volume dial. (I'm never again going to buy headphones without a volume dial).
Co-oping seems much more lively on the Switch. I've been having a blast getting summoned and flattening dudes in one hit with my demon hammer for all these new guys :v
Those music notes from the Bloodborne teaser trailer... Interesting choice.
Artorias is doing my bloody nut in, he is. Doesn't seem to be anyone around to summon either.
learn his patterns and dont get greedy because hes got hella punishes. its normal to get only 1-2 hits in per cycle. artorias' fight is more about endurance and consistency.
Stopping his power up can also help a lot, that way he isn't instagibbing you
Yeh, i seem to keep fucking up the stopping him za warudo'ing my arse, missing headshots with the bow. Can't stagger him with a silver knight spear, Queelag's rapestick is mostly fire damage so it's even less effective against him, and the uchi's bleed is pointless against him.
You can try using reinforced club or anything that deals similar poise damage, that is what i used on my SL1 atleast, if i remember correctly, it cancels his buff after 2 hits or so. For me he became one of the easier bosses after i managed to kill him once that playthrough, i beat him without much problems on NG+, the attack i had the most problem with was the leaping one, it can be really annoying. Kalameet was the hardest boss for me, especially in NG+ where every attack of his OHKO'd me.
Usually just for Artorias I have to resort to using the good ol' reliable Dragon Tooth. He's always been the hardest of the 3 DLC bosses for me.
hold up a second, sekiro is coming to PC?? I could have fucking sworn that was a ps4 exclusive?
If I'm not mistaken, Sony can only claim one exclusive out of From for every console, so the PS4 already got Bloodborne.
It's been advertised as multiplat from the start, I first saw the trailer as part of Xbox's conferense at E3 2018.
Which is a blessing and a curse, because Bloodborne 2 (if it'll even come out) will probably be the PS5's exclusive.
With those notes from the Bloodborne theme in the Sekiro trailer, I'm wondering if it aims to hint that the two are in the same universe. Logically, Sekiro would have taken place earlier, but could there be a link? Like the Old Hunter Yamamura in Bloodborne?
I noticed that too, but I feel like that's a bit of a stretch. Unless this is like a "new continent" in the world. Even DkS, where the games take place eons apart, there's a similar-ish setting. I'm gonna put it more towards it being a coincidence/recycling notes.
If it's related to Bloodborne it's certainly just a reference. Much like how Gascoigne said "Umbassa" in the Bloodborne network test. They're not in the same world, they just like putting in references to their old games.
How long until Sekiro gets a moonlight greatsword
Plus using a named character in the same franchise where all the characters where player characters with customization it's next to impossible to link them. Sekiro will probably talk, or be like Link and have a defined appearance but never speak.
Are spears and pikes in DS3 any good? I've heard mixed reviews.
It's not always a greatsword. I have no doubt there will be a moonlight blade in Sekiro.
Are we going to be able to get the Moonlight Greatsword in the game? (Laughs) Not this time. First of all, we want to make it clear that – we have this reputation for featuring the Moonlight Greatsword and things like that in our games – we don’t want this to feel like too much of a bind. We’re creating this new IP and this new world. We don’t want to feel like we’re beating a dead horse or just going to put it out for the sake of it or just going to cram it into the lore in some way. It kind of puts restrictions on us, so we are not featuring the Moonlight Greatsword this time. Bad luck this time.
This was pretty interesting: As to creating these kinds of odes or references to our other games within Sekiro, we’re actually being a little bit careful because – working with other publishers means you have to be careful with how you treat this material and this content. So, if it’s Dark Souls to Dark Souls III, it’s easy to put in odes and references here or there since it’s the same publisher. For instance, with Déraciné, that was released recently for VR, we had an ode to Bloodborne in there – both titles are published by Sony. Actually, that reference, that nod itself caused a much greater stir than we expected. Way more than we expected. When we were given that idea like, “Why don’t you just put a little nod in there? It’d be great.” And we tried it and it blew up. So, we just want to tread a little bit more carefully around that front. Are people reading to much into that little nod in Déraciné? You know, it wasn’t so much that they read too much into it, it was just supposed to be a little homage, but people kind of expected Bloodborne 2 and it kind of got a little bit crazy. So, we feel like we caused a great inconvenience to Sony, and that was really not our intention. Seems they want to limit their little references this time around. Makes me wonder if this game will have a Patches.
After that trailer I'm starting to get interested in how From will do a linear, structured story. It also could just be because I'm a huge berserk nerd and that trailer screamed gambino and guts.
