plug in an external keyboard or connect a bluetooth keyboard and hit backspace on that
I can't just... Snip my post like every other forum?
Anywho as to what I was actually trying to say
All these "git guds" I've seen regarding Sekiro in this thread are valid
We had a guy on the last page who made it all the way to one of the seven spears mini bosses and was still trying to dodge roll instead of deflecting and mikiri countering which the game stresses you do earlier on, and then complained how it was the fault of the games difficulty lol
Press the code button, hit backspace, press the code button again.
You can backspace those though.
Odd, when I get them it disables the cursor entirely so I can't even bring up the keyboard to type.
I do agree it's basic, but you can actually break line of sight at least for ranged enemies, but that is also very basic. You can basically run behind a rock and just sit there, even if the enemies are shooting arrows straight at the back of the rock, they'll eventually forget about you and stop shooting. Pretty sure you can do the same with melee enemies as well except they will actually follow you until you've been out of sight for a few seconds.
As long as you don't stay exactly where you left line of sight you will generally be fine. Enemies may spread out and search a bit more but if you stay in cover you can escape reliably. The issue I've found with stealth is big enemies, like the cannon guys and the giant club swinging guys will instantly spot you from very long distance if they're in a suspicious state.

Never used resurrection until I had beaten every boss in the game.
I think I'm liking the game a bit more as it goes on, primarily because the one-hit-kills seem less and less common, and also because the boss design feels a bit more coherent. I honestly think the game did itself a disservice putting the chained ogre and brazen bull as such early bosses, in hindsight, it doesn't make sense that deflecting would be championed as the big new mechanic and then have two early bosses where dodging is the superior choice. Something like the armoured guy or even the Ashina elite before Genichiro would have been much better choices for early bosses, I think.
The frequency you get basically one-shot comes roaring back later in the game. Bosses in the late game can take off over 3/4th of your health in a single attack, even if you have 17+ vitality. Combine that with the fact a lot of bosses start to use elemental attacks later on means you take big damage right through your guard also.
I immediately hate any souls boss that can kill a high level player in one attack. There's nothing fun about being one shot. Horrible flashbacks to King Vendrick and basically any souls dragon boss. Like what a great way to ruin new game+...
And I just started new game+ in Sekiro with 19 Vitality and the first enemies in the game do about a quarter of my health so I can't imagine how punishing late NG+ will be.
Seeing shit like this makes me want to uninstall the game because there's no way I'll ever be even 1/billionth as good as that
Today i happily had a chance to fight Owl(Father) and boy it was nice. Took some attempts hisfirecrackers setup is so deadly plus i appreciate his "Spirit guardian"
also learning some enemy pattern gets you going in Sekiro.
I'll leave link of the fight since it's late game

I've been thinking on what skills have helped me the most since starting. Healing on deathblows being one of the biggest, air deflections, air tools/combat maneuvers, and Ichimonji. Ichimonji just fucks up enemies and combos so well. Like the seven spears guy in Ashina reservoir gave me shit until I started slamming his head in.
Also I'm a cheesing cunt. My two biggest tricks when I'm just not in the mood to deal with shit any ore is oil and fire tube bullshit. Hit an enemy with oil, then jump at them at hit them with fire and get free hits and dot. The other doesn't always work but a lot of enemies are susceptible to side-stepping and getting a single slash in. It's so fucking cheesey shit but it also works.
Overall, despite some annoyances blazing bull I'm enjoying it thoroughly. I liked Demon Souls and Dark Souls but never committed to them to get super far with them. And I wanted Bloodbourne but wasn't going to buy a PS4 just to play it. Ended up visiting a friend and played for lime six hours non-stop and did fantastic at it. Sekiro is really good and despite people saying it is harder than the Souls games I'm having a much better time with this than I did those. Something about how Sekiro and Bloodbourne play compared to those is so much more my style.
You don't need oil if you upgrade the flame vent. Just charge it up abd it hits twice (spring loaded fire vent) which causes most bosses to be set on fire.
Doesn't oil increase fire damage though. So using oil and the charged flame should do even more damage.
Oil also just saves on spirits and is easy to farm.
what do the Bundled Jizo Statue's do? do they permanently increase the amount you can resurrect?
Of course someone has already beaten Sekiro in under an hour | R..
And someone is under an hour in this game already.
I can't even make it to the "halfway mark" of the fucking game. Fuck me it just sucks to try hard as you can and be slammed down constantly and watch people wreck it without effort. Fuck me up fam.
tbf aside from a few all the "required" bosses for speedruns of this ending can be stun locked/stuck into a loop in one way or another, so yeah as long as you get the right tools these bosses aren't that difficult.
didn't say they never died, they just never used a revive is all
Upgraded flame vent will set them on fire with a single charged use.
I'm stuck on Demon and Sword Saint.
