that's what has killed it for me months ago, shooting at anything feels like a complete diceroll.

I've become so accustomed to the bugs that I'm relatively unphased by them - and most of the time can work around them, unless they're gamebreaking like invisible players, spawning and immediately going to the death screen, or animation recycle. But bugs like that are really rare for me, and when they do happen, I just shrug it off and start another raid. It took me a long time to get over my gear fear, and that's when things started to turn around. I hoarded so many guns, full kits of armor and weapons that sat collecting dust. This wipe I've just taken everything out on a whim and found myself piledriving PMC's. I stopped sneaking around, being a slow, easy target, and began bum-rushing unsuspecting players. It's made a huge difference.

I've noticed whenever I get in a bad mood every small thing makes me angry about the game. When I'm in a good mood, I shrug it off and say "eh, it'll be better in time." There really should be a penalty for melee weapons.. Make the knives/axe/now broadsword cost a few grand and call it a day. P.S. Nikita can we get a cold-steel spear, too? Maybe a throwing knives?

I can see about as much on your image as that video, except the video has worse contrast. Maybe check your monitor's brightness?

Oh man there's some massive drama going on with BSG. A massive youtuber decided to bring awareness to a possible security risk. They just flagged his youtube account 11 times for DMCA and then 44 times practically destroying his account, Reddit is up in arms and they're probably going to eat shit.

id just like to say it was more than just "bringing awareness to a possible security risk". he had an intentionally misleading title and thumbnail (claiming everyones account info had been stolen already in the thumbnail), and was spreading information from someone who was known to have a vendetta against bsg(whether it is credible or not is not something i can determine). although while what he did is really shitty and honestly kind of slanderous, the takedown of all his tarkov videos was really not the solution. takedown of that singular video? maybe, but it's already been taken too far.

I mean, if the dude successfully scraped usernames and tied them to nicknames and user IDs i'd potentially consider that as "my account being at risk" even without a dump of hashed passwords as that's not supposed to be generally available

Regardless of how clickbaity and how false the information is, it's fucked up that they did takedowns of any videos. They deserve everything that happens in return because of this, and I know for sure i'm going to make sure my friend's don't buy it. Damn shame too, because this has been my favorite game as of the last year or so.

eroktic is stupid for making alarmist clickbait garbage around baseless information coming from a guy who has been actively posting how to exploit the game on cheating forums, BSG is even more stupid for striking more than the two offending videos that eroktic made and turning him into a martyr for people who want the game to die, and the community is stupid for blindly listening to anything anyone says without any kind of actual proof besides "oh well my account got hacked and i was randomly banned!!!" from random reddit posts and youtube comments i'm just going to keep playing the game and hope it doesn't die because of this childish bullshit. new update .11 is soon, looking forward to that and i hope to god this doesn't fuck up the patch schedule, and here's a picture of what happens when you put two nipple sights on an AK at the same time and ADS because i thought it was funny

The glockworks shit he pointed out had a fairly detailed walk through on the whole affair, missing a point or two to complete it on the grounds he 'Didnt want this being abused'. Just stroll your ass to a cheat forum that surrounds this and you'll find that people have found ways to do it, or similar. Or the suspicious timing of all these unjustified bans. Usually they pop up every now and again but I haven't seen it in this capacity.

BSG's 100% scumbag response is the part that bothers me.. They have all the avenues of social media open to them and they chose to abuse the copyright strike against a content creator. I too hope they at least try to make amends and that this thing blows over...

Exactly. They had every route to take, yet they took the worst one it seems. Doesn't matter what he did, silencing free speech is fucked. Although, I can't say I'm really surprised. We already have seen them do this to another channel, albiet the channel they did it to was a lot more justifiably attacked. There was this really small channel posting every exploit under the sun in Tarkov and presenting himself as some sort of saint for doing so, and all of his Tarkov content was DMCA'd shortly after he said no to the devs when he was asked to stop. Made me a bit worried at the time. But I, I could see it being okay as they wanted every exploit to directly be sent in to them, and not avaliable for everyone in the public to abuse.

Well, BSG has irreparably damaged their game with this childish bullshit. Now "major" players have picked up on the story like ( ) Polygon, Jim Sterling with his merry band of sheep, and other big youtubers. It's even worse because youtubers are very fucking sensitive when it comes to DMCA abuse for good reason, so I figure even more videos are going to crop up. This shouldn't have even become such a huge issue, but now BSG is going to be under fire from a bunch of gun manufacturers because people are now letting companies like Glock and Spikes Tactical (who has already responded about being made aware) know about Tarkov using their brand without licenses. I wasn't too worried before, but now I feel like the development is going to be FUBAR because of all the horrible press and people telling everyone not to buy the game, not even considering the possible legal ramifications at this point.

How have they gotten this far if that's the case? Free advertisement or not that's just fucking stupid if they didn't make contact before now. Like why draw the lines with american gun mfg's when we have the parody version of food items like "slickers" and such. I'm willing to bet most of these reddit/youtube yuppies don't actually have an interest in IRL guns, either, so the companies themselves are less likely to care about the whining(?)

It's only coming up now because of the drama and how ironic it is that they abused copyright to take down a guy's videos while they themselves were violating copyright by using the name and likeness of weapons they had no rights to

To be fair they've done security patches for their launcher several times before so this isn't new. It's either really bad timing or an attempt to quell people's fears about security because doing this during actual drama that stemmed from rumors of security vulnerabilities would be even worse for them. Then again, with the way they seem to be handling things lately it makes me feel like they don't do a lot of actual thinking before doing shit so who the fuck knows at this point
