if you want i can give you a modified version of config_matching which just allows you to select any server in the launcher and before anyone asks, it cant get you banned first of all theres no consistency check for it and this happens way before sclient.dll even gets loaded
That'd be great if you could, thanks!

I just got a 14-day trial key from someone. Can I get some input as to how I can maximize my enjoyment or get a broad taste of what the game is about during that time?
Run around, die a lot. The true EfT experience.
Head over to the Tarkov Wiki, pull up the maps and get a general idea of where shit is, for a new player I'd say start off on woods or interchange if you want to learn the basics, then factory or customs if you want action.
There is also labs which is the new map which just got added but its fair amount more complex compared to the other areas, plus no insurance so 0 chance of getting your gear back and its filled with pistol/shotgun players and the raider AI which will push your shit so far back up your ass its going to come out of your mouth, so it's pretty brutal at times.
The wiki is very useful though, give it a read over and you'll find a lot of what you need to know, Tarkov has a steep initial learning curve and it will punish you every step of the way then beat you like an abusive father at the end and never stop doing it.
Dick head spotted.
but its like a drug, cuz ure always gonna come back for more
if you cant extract at beyond fuel tank its because its moved,
what gun is that?
Looks like a mpx
PP19 with PUFGUN mags
Regardless of all the Russian Jank the game suffers from, it's really gotten far and now would probably be a good time to consider getting into the game.
Play with friends, the real magic comes from sharing special moments with someone else.~

I love the labs so much
I shared this on the Discord, but I don't think I shared it here

I was looking to buy a new monitor, a 1440p one to upgrade from my 1080p since I have a 1080Ti, but figured I'd try out nvidia's DSR for shits and giggles thinking it would kill my performance.
Bumped up my resolution to the 4x factor of my 1920x1080 and Tarkov not only runs almost exactly the same with a little bit of FPS loss, but it's now using 100% of my GPU instead of like 50-60% and looks crisp and clean.
This is the 1920x1080 with FXAA and This is the 4x supersampled 3840x2160 with FXAA
Save the images to really zoom in and see the difference. Everything is more clear and sharp, lights are brighter, and for some reason areas that are dark like the lighting wasn't working are lit up and normal when supersampled
Example of the lighting. Looks like two dark areas in 1920x1080 here

supersample here, you can see the same area is lit up and you see the fence along with the mountain image being clearer
taken not even 15 seconds apart, with a very minimal performance dip from what i've noticed
I've been playing Tarkov for a little bit now, more and more.
It kinda sucks playing solo cause all my friends who got the game don't want to play it because "its to hard."
I mean I started out with nothing and built up a pretty good stash of basic weapons. Good enough for me to take on various people, but I never match up against full raids/geared people. Which is to be expected.
Joined the discord. Maybe later on get a chance to group with some people who are noob friendly.
I won't speak for everyone, but the only noob in my book are the cowboys who get the squad killed. You don't need to be an expert marksman if you play a certain way where your aim isn't that critical if that makes sense...
I generally play safe with groups seeing as if a single person fucks up it could cause a set back for everyone else. I know I would be pissed if someone fucked things up for me.
If I'm playing solo I generally play wild, but if I actually have a goal in mind I play safe and stick with that goal in mind.
One of the reasons why I like this game is because it forces you to play better everytime you die. I think that is why my friends don't like it because they do not want to adjust to a new play style and get upset when the same thing doesn't work everytime.
generally speaking the only time i get annoyed with our group is when people start pulling off in different directions on their own.
from past experience it's the easiest and fastest way to end up with friendly fire incidents or mistaking an enemy for a friend
good comms are essential
Well... just had two unfortunate events take place on factory.
First of all, my two friends survive an encounter with some relatively geared guys. Friend A was down at 5HP and dropping, just got an IFAK out of one of the enemies vests and started patching himself up when a scav jumped them both, friend B moved forward to engage the scav..however, being so close to cover, it pushed his gun sideways...right at the face of friend A. RIP friend A.
Next we're on the stairs in Factory office, I peak the corner down the corridor and see 2 heavily geared guys, I buckshot one in the faceshield and promptly run down the stairs. As I try to go down the stairs, I throw a nade up, instead of going above the floor into the corridor however, it catches the edge of the floor and bounces into the stairwell. Just as a second, enemy nade lands at the top of the stairs. I managed to run down to my escape but my friend has nowhere to go but sit there waiting for grenade 1 or 2 to go off. It's my grenade that kills friend A. RIP friend A.
2 teamkills in 2 rounds, poor guy.
i think the game really needs something like the shacktac ui from arma 3, good situational awareness is almost impossible. the coloured armband are pretty useless as is
So.. I guess 5.45x39 BP just doesn't quite do the trick anymore

I know I should have worked up to his head, but I figured with his stomach being swiss cheese he would go down eventually, turns out he was a T2
All those shots going into his arms too, may as well be shooting peas at him.
Loving how much smoother the game runs this update but I must admit i've run out of money already. I just can't be bothered doing the tasks and collecting items just to make some cash. Already done it three wipes in a row now.
I run scavs on factory for quick cash.. If I really like his gear/gun I'll do it at night and just sprint for the extracts. Selling all of the garbage you can collect from dead scavs nets you some nice coin.
I simply can't imagine going broke ever.. I can take an generic SKS with a reflex into the lab and come out with piles.
Y'all know how on factory, you can just fire a shotgun shell into a wall and wait for the waves of scavs to come up to office and just kill them while they're walking by?
Same thing works on the new map, except instead of getting shitty old guns, you're getting top of the line military loot. I'm making upwards of 4 mil an hour just from
scavs alone.
If the devs really wanted to make the raiders dangerous, instead of buffing their gear or HP they just need to make them work as a team. Common indoors fighting is flash and rush. If they suspect you're in a room they should just nade it(Preferably with a flash) before pushing in and kicking your ass.
while i do not agree with copystriking unrelated videos i do personally think eroktic is an unfunny retard like for real
First the King Scav Boss AKA: Nikita Daydrinker needs to figure out how to get raiders to walk through doorways.
I thought I'd have an easy time in the garage by opening the door and essentially waiting for the cash to walk over to me. Didn't fuckin' realise they come out the doors behind the roller door too. RIP my tiny asshole.
