More relaxed as scav with no feel of risk, you can play as stupid as you want. Always found scav to be more enjoyable.
Yeah, it's really simple honestly. I've done most of my good gear runs with scav. Only big drawback is no keys I guess.
i wish you unlocked the FAL earlier, i can buy parts but the only way to get the weapon is a trade or flea market. there should be a shitty 70's config FAL as a level 1 NATO weapon. theres no real reason to run anything other than a 74u atm unless you like certain weapons
Not even that, you can get away with using the PP 19-01 until you pretty much max out peacekeeper, smgs are surprisingly balanced when it comes to doing flesh and armor damage on the cheap. Throw in leg meta and you've got something that can rip faster than pretty much any rifle. Only lacking thing is really range, as they're good to only medium distances.
I just completed that 'Setup' mission that involves PMC hunting on customs while dressed like a scav. Had some decent PvP fights around construction and dorms but found a really shitty spot where I could sit in a bush and watch the ISO freight container with the barbed wire entrance and just wreck people as they come through. Felt a bit dirty but job done.
Source, myself, because I got my scav to level 26 last wipe. Test it yourself, sprint around the map for a bit, end the raid, and then check the endurance next scav raid. It'll be the same as it was.
I've personally sent half a dozen PS rounds harmlessly bouncing off a Kiver helmet.. It's a really tough spot to be in.
The armour system + power creep is just insane and stupid atm. They need to add blunt damage and effects to it. People are allowed to soak way too much in armour.
God no, blunt damage doesn't really exist in real life outside of soft armor and shouldn't exist in game. They need to rebalance the armor and bullet ballistic dynamic. Only helmet in game that should solidly stop a 7.62 PS round is an altyn. I'm sure there's a few others, but a fastMT is only rated to .44 magnum as an example, yet it saves someone from a lot more than that.
Blunt damage is real at least on helmets, and with ammo that delivers a lot of kinetic energy its a thing even on hard armours unless they're of course, very big and padded.
It's an extremely complex thing, have to take into account the bullet weight, velocity, and how well the armor distributes it all. I was moreso specifically talking about not head armor, but yeah, for helmets it does exist. For other armors, such as fort, even with heavy hitting rounds like the 7.62x54r it wouldn't do any real damage to the body if it didn't penetrate/cause spauling.
Have you guys ever seen scavs falling over online? I was doing some test runs offline with scoped mosin just to try it out and basically hitting in ribs/chest would sometimes cause some weird anim where it looks like they die/fall over and quickly get up.

The fuckers cna start with fixing stuff like this: 7.62x54mmR why is the dmg value normalised based on armour damage? makes no sense. Itwill take an equal amount of bullets no matter which one I pick.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VgUlDTvRYY For those who haven't seen it/ain't in the discord. Likely dev troll item but it gives an interesting idea on how maybe all the cases should work.
As much as I hate it because I carry a med case on me at all times, it SHOULD function like this. Balance wise it makes a lot more sense and removes a lot of the cheese that comes with containers.
It'd also instantly kill 90% of the duplication exploits in one go.
This is also true. I'm really torn on it because I abuse and cheese the fuck out of the gamma container, but it would be a much better game without that.
i can agree with blocking containers but it seems a bit excessive to stop you putting weapons in there and as a way to block exploits its just lazy
do flash drives still spawn at the tent on woods?
Far as I know, yes.
Those little fucks are so goddamn rare.. Found ONE in interchange recently after countless raids in both woods and interchange. You're honestly better off buying them.
there about 500k atm though, too expensive just to complete the skier mission
Better go farming then.
i got my flash drives for 25k last week
so doing hatchling or knifeling runs on lab can be extremely effective. Me and a pal hounded a scav, got his high kit gear. Rushed elevator extract, killed more geared scavs. Sadly he died but i left with a bunch of cool shit. success rate isnt too high of course but you could seriously exploit the exit spawns.
god, i just burned my entire stash completed gunsmith pt 13 and now i'm poor
Take my tri-zip and mule my loot out of labs for me.. I'll give you 50k a run. Of course I'll need your alpha case for collateral.
This game just turns me off so completely whenever I try to play it. I walk around slowly for 20 minutes trying to get my bearings just for some random dude to sprint into me and gun me down while I miss every single bullet, dying, and losing all my gear again.
You play alot of solo I take it? I don't know how many swedes are in the FP community, but you should try to group up with someone competent.. EFT is a good bit of fun when you have someone who can cover your back. I also find it curious you would have this problem considering every map is more or less a ghost town because everyone is running LAB non-stop..
