Yeah, the crashing is really bad. Also having that same issue on shoreline.
Well it ran okay for the rest of the night, save for my internet dropping mid raid. Not really sure what happened there. Maybe they fucked something server side?
Well, just had my most stressful firefight of 0.9
Load into customs to do chemical part 4, spawn hobo train car, so that's nifty, I'm right outside my objective. Hop the fence and run towards the hanger but hear a fuck load of clomping and clanging going on inside, huddle down next to the shipping container on the right side and see a bear dash across, wait a little longer and decide to just say fuck it since I only have an SKS.
Rush in and see two guys looking at each other, easy peasy, drop first dude nice and clean, transition onto other guys face but he ate the shots like a fucking champ. Decide to break off and reload, start to pivot to my right and as I start my reload I see a third on the other end of the hanger sprinting to the direction I'm heading, wellfuck.jpg. By some absurd luck he's retarded and ran outside of the hanger giving me just enough time to reload my SKS before he comes back in and catches 5 in the mouth, he's a teletubby with a trash AK74N, grab it anyways and double back to finish off número dos.
Slow walk back to the other-side of the hanger where I last saw/heard him, round one of the shipping containers and he's indeed still sitting there wedged in the far corner, I open up on him with the AK, dumped the whole 30 into him but the bitch was flopping all over the place like a wet noodle. I take an entire magazine from him as well, lost everything but my chest and head thanks to my gzhle, think to myself "welp this is it", start medding then switch to my SKS since the AK was spent, as I turn another one of their squad mates is just crouched next to the objective van being a fucking space cadet just looking at me, spaz pop him in the face three times putting him down.
Not sure if he was magazine glitched our just slow but one of them was still standing, only have 10hp on my vest and fading fast, round the left side of the shipping container, dumb ass was still watching the side he last saw me on, got another 5-6 into the side of his head, his lifeless body finally crumpling over. Firefight lasted all over a minute and a half but fuck was that a long minute half, net loot was one Fort, one of the brand spanking new Gen 4 IOVT vests and a fucking SA58, turns out the guy that took all my body parts was the one with the FAL, by pure luck I was able to extract just as my guy completely dehydrated.
Performance and stability have been the same for me, that is: very stable. Only had the one odd glitch where the arms/gun would keep spazzing out like i had late stage parkinsons but that was solved by switching weapons a few times.
It's been habit to remove armor/helmet and then put them back on at raid start.. But now I have heard from the russian witch-doctors that you should also swap out your current, active magazines as well.
So far so good haven't had any troubles in either category.
HOLY shit lmao, that fucker near the blue van like legit was just staring at you
The game really gets easier once you unlock the lvl 3 traders wow
Man, I really hate the fucking new factory spawns.
Twice in a row I've spawned in that shitty end that faces glass corridoor and twice in a row I've been insta head shotted by people with gear spraying at me. Sure is fun not even living for 30 seconds and losing your shitty gear.
Had a couple of games where i've just joined a group of randoms on factory. 2 seperate groups killed me but the 3 that weren't asshats were actually pretty great runs.
The last one i teamed up with, came in with an AK74u. I had nothing but a hatchet. On our way to office, I found a scav body with a stun nade on it but no gun. Up on office corridoor my buddy got into a firefight, so i threw that stun nade down the corridoor and my buddy killed him.
Looked like he got himself a Kirasa vest and a Kivr helmet. I grabbed a vepyr and a blackrock with ammo off a scav and we cleared office. Even without communication, we both took a door each and cleared left/right.
Both extracted too. I unfortunatly got a run through but I got some gear. Pretty fun considering it was a randomer. I was half in a mind to steal his stuff but I was like naaaah. BUDDIES FOREVER
Cant wait till we get VOIP and get to enjoy hatchlings screaming 'NOT THE FACE' as they run away. That and ad-hoc teamwork too.
Mixed feelings on this.. On one-hand I would want the game to force it always on so you can be sure that if the person has game audio enabled they hear other PMCs, but on the other I know it would be impossible to moderate and cull abuse.
I just want more tools for impromptu interactions like 16 radio channels for unfiltered voice chat or a PDA that enables map-wide text chat for people to offer up callouts, trades, etc.
In-game VOIP is going to be 99.9% used to yell nigger at people, tbh I don't even think it should be added to the game with how robust the commorose is
Does anybody joins game where players are already spawned? There is no countdown the game just start instantly.
yeah, happens occasionally i guess to help fill up games that are at the minimum number of players or just because your pc loaded a lot slower than other players. kinda sucks that it happens, wish there was an option to turn it off.
Don't you want hardbase blasting throughout factory?

Nah I'll just sneak up to people at night and whisper "It's free real estate" when I'm next to them.
If you are sensitive to harsh words then just turn it off? Foxhole, Squad and Post Scriptum, to name a few, all have local VOIP between players and they are great and provide some of the best interactions in games and they wouldn't be the same without them. Squad and PS only allow you to hear people on the same team while Foxhole let's you speak to the enemy too, some of the best moments are bantering with enemies while fighting.
VOIP would be fantastic, actually being able to communicate with people other than the standard call outs, that or to just sneak up on people and make random noises
Those sound like games with way less toxic communities than Tarkov
The DayZ mod was great before tons of new people flooded in and everyone had to switch to KOS

This might, MIGHT, not 100% of the times, explain some of the ridiculous amounts of rounds some people absorb (on top of really crap ammo and current Fort meta)
I've noticed this with other firefights and videos from streamers, but this is the first one that I know for sure his weapon stopped every round I through at him, was using m80 in offline mode so there was no ammo bug, his saiga ate the rounds.
Not sure if this is something they added with 0.9, can't say I've noticed sparks when shooting people's guns in previous patches, IMHO this is pretty cool, because guns can indeed deflect or stop bullets, but, it should also severely damage the gun based on where it's hit and with what type of ammunition.
The armor/ammo bug isn't necessarily a desync thing. It could entirely be a bug within the game itself that happens in offline as well, as i've been one tapped by scavs fully kitted before in offline. (had a face mask kiver)

yeah thats a nice fiction
i was playing dayz mod from its very first release and it was always KOS. this ".. and then the assholes came" is a long running fiction people like to tell themselves. Dayz has always been predominately KOS.
I predict in about a years time people are going to be posting similar tales about how "back in the day" tarkov certainly wasn't rooty tooty point and shooty, no sir! it was all about the interactions! and the PvE!! then the assholes came!
So I've been facing one thing that I don't really know how to describe.
In offline mode I can take arm/leg damage and still be alive at some point (not until I bleed out or die of dehydration yeah that happened once cuz I forgot to bring a water bottle)
But in online I died more than once from 1-2 shots to my leg or an arm. So that raises a couple of questions inside my half-empty head: is there an anti-cheat in the game? How do I report hackers?
Or maybe I'm dumb scrub guy and I can realize that high-level players do more damage than low-levers (if there is such a thing)?
Also I remember having a shootout with the other player (he had MP-133 and I had P226). We were shooting each other for at least 30 seconds and after I died (don't laugh) I clearly remember receiving XP for "Dealing lethal damage" or something like that.
Yeah I got EFT couple days ago so I'm new to this. I really like this game and I wish that devs could resolve the hacker problem (which I know is impossible to do).
the only way a high level player could do more damage than a low level player is by using better ammo, he doesnt magically do more damage. are the death limb shots usually from shotguns? cause its probably just a case of the limb getting hit by multiple pellets and thus doing damage mutliple times in quick succession. that, or as a result of lag there are more shots than you see before you die as the game catches up to itself
Could be either of those things, but thanks anyway. At least I can be less paranoid about hackers in general.
So they've already announced some of the content of next patch and they say the patch is coming at the end of August. I know it's a beta, but the quests grind is starting to get annoying and the worse you're kinda forced to do them if you want to unlock the vendors lvl 4 quickly...
I doubt it'll be a full wipe since it's so soon.
Nikita, you can take away my whole inventory but please, stop wiping my trader/skill progress.

I know it's all about dying but this is just rough and I kinda love it
