You know you've made someones day when they go out of their way to message you and rage.
We had a run on factory and took down some guy called 'Autistic_freedom'. He then PM'd one of our squad that killed him and started giving him shit, calling us faggots for having a group on factory and when my friend made fun of him and thanking him for his gear, he replied saying it wasn't even his best stuff and he would've won if it was a 1v1 fight.
1v1 ME IN FACTORY IRL FAGET
1 Scav run later.

The game can be surprisingly relaxing when you mute the sound, put on some music, and hatchet run night Customs grinding for a Factory key
My friend does the same thing a lot (not the grinding part though) and so he calls EFT a casual game.
I think my friend found one in a scav pocket, lucky shit. I've not seen one for a couple of wipes now. Last found mine on the dorms at customs
Would someone trade me like 600 rounds of decent ammo~
It's a pretty stupid how ammo that's available from level 1 traders are complete dogshit compared to the higher-tiered ones.
I'm still grinding for BS ammo, m995 is no longer stuck behind a completely unrelated bullshit quest, so that's spiffy, even if it does jack shit flesh damage.
If you want BP ammo I can toss you some, that or m995, which is great for armor pen, but garbage against un-armored targets
Tickle me pink donated a G18 with a 50 round drum to me, shit climbs like nobodies fucking business.

I'm also sitting on 3 marked keys if anybody wants them
I'd take one, you would save me a lot of time.
Do I already have you added ingame? If not, send me a friend request Youtube_NateLB
Dayum, that scav spawning out of nowhere... It's nice to know it's an actual thing by seeing it happen. I and my friends have died a few times from a scav coming out of nowhere. I always thought we were just bad at checking the area but now I suspect it's just a scav popping in.
Next time I play I'll add you. Thanks!
If I see you on when I play next I'd be happy to trade again, not sure if added people carry over wipes.
Looks like a hotfix is due any time soon.
- Fixed hit registration bug, that was discovered after patch 0.9
- Fixed one of issues causing game to crash
- Fixed various new glitches
- Nvidia Highlights is now turn off by defualt, you may turn it back on in the settings of the game
- Fixed bug of not recieving blunt damage
Da! Game has been updated to .92 with those notes^
Welp, had about 5 or 6 raids tonight, shot in the head in every single one of them.
I feel like helmets are useless. Fort and 6b, headshotted. No helmet, headshotted. I can't buy visors so why fuckin' bother i guess. No point in bringing any big armour cuz my head is so easy to hit apparantly, I just lose it all.
I mean, I had one raid where I had fort and a scav just legged the shit out of me, so armour basically didn't help at all. Limb'd by scavs, headshot by players.
I know Tarkov is swings and round abouts in terms of finding good stuff or losing good stuff but tonight was a very poor show. Not had fun at all :C
Comrade.. Either you are very unlucky or you have a very large head.
Also, thanks again @NateLB for the gift of a tri-zip L O A D E D with BT ammo~
Guessing I'm unlucky at this point.
Just had a guy kill my buddy on factory. Flanked through tile room, caught him by surprise, got into a gun fight but of course in a fullscreen game my cursor snuck out of the window, so when i clicked with my gun pointed at his fucking face,I got alt tabbed.
Tab back in time just to see him kill me with a pistol.
I actually slammed my hand on my desk, I was so fucking annoyed.
No idea but since this patch, I keep finding my cursor going out of window, really annoying. I did say it'll get me killed eventually, now it did. Oh well, RIP my nice gear. That guy just got the best day of his life.
its an issue with your cursor not locking when tabbing back in, you can lock your cursor to the window again by opening your inventory and clicking anywhere on it.
It might just be me, but try opening your inventory in raid to see if the in-game or operating system (i.e. OS) cursor appears. If it's the OS cursor then I have to tab out of the game and explicitly click on the application icon on the taskbar in Windows. That'll stop it from tabbing out of my game when turning around too far then clicking. If it's the in-game cursor then the cursor should be locked in to the game screen.
So I've asked couple of questions on r/EFT as someone who's considering getting the game but no one has replied yet so I'll just post them here.
1-) How's the optimization? I'm sitting on a rig with i5-6600, OC'd RX480 8GB and 16GB ram.
2-) I've been told that the game is gonna get released on Steam after the beta so do you guys think that it's a good time to get into the game now or should I just wait for the Steam version?
3-) There are alotta people complaining about bugs and glitches (ie. hits not registering) which makes me wonder whether these are rare occurances or really common.
Don't know much about optimization i'm running it fine on a i7-6700, gtx 970 and 16GB ram.
You will have a more complete game if you wait for the steam release.
I have not noticed anything major in terms of bugs or glitches.
I just bought tarkov, installed it, and the second I try to play it the servers go down or something main site is down and can't log into the launcher! thanks obama
I think it seems to do it a lot when the game is loading a level, perhaps if I don't finish l loading with my OS cursor somewhere behind the game screen, it causes it. Either that or the steam overlay. Having the steam overlay open allows me to cursor out too.
Either way, I'm so paranoid about it now I won't let it happen again.
Was super into this game when it first started, seemed tactical and slow raven shield style play but now it's just a race to top tier armour and sprinting into every single fight.
The grind trying to grab access to traders which are needed to have even half a chance is super frustrating, as well as most of the weapon list being useless against players.
Making better quality rounds available earlier probably wouldn't hurt

Fuckin trick-shot-McGee

we also got the invulnerability bug all in 1 shitshow
The gear disparity is ridiculous
It would be bad enough if high level players got either rounds that completely nullify whatever meager class 3 armor you can scrounge up, or armor that your rounds were literally 100% ineffective against
They get both
So the craziest thing happened. My lyft driver and I were conversating and he lead the conversation as this.
Him - Hey, do play video games?
Me - Of course.
H - PC or Console?
M - PC my man.
H - Do you play first person shooters?
M - Love them, been playing them all my life.
H - Ever heard of a game called escape from tarkov?
I was completely blown away that my lyft driver played. First time I had an engaging conversation with a driver in two years. He gave me his contact info and i've yet to talk to him after that ride because of a shitload of work on my end, but I plan on contacting him tomorrow and playing.
The the face hitbox is the G-spot of every encounter, boop the snoot and it doesn't matter what teletubbie suits they're rocking they're going down, if they have face shields and you don't have AP 5.45, 7.62 will defeat it pretty quickly.
It's going to take some muscle memory training, but, if you've been laying into someone long enough that you're almost half-way through your magazine and they still aren't dropping because of their armor, you need to start drifting up to their chin and let the recoil do the rest, fookin laser sights really help, just hip fire their sternum and the recoil should kick into their face.
The MP5 is a great weapon to use till you have access to 5.45 AP, way to train for headshots too because that's practically the only way you're going to get kills with it. The recoil impulse is practically non-existent, especially on the SD, so it's a great type of training wheel for headshot practice.
Definitely won't lie, AP rounds save the day, but they aren't too hard to obtain early on if you do things right.
Scav boss entourage all spawn with 5.45 BT, all AKS-74u and AK74N spawns have 30 rounds of BP, that includes buying from discount Sidorovich and shoreline is riddled with 5.45 AP ammo boxes at the resort.
