I don't have anything to look forward for the next... *check calendar* 6 months so I'm actually super pumped for TSR!
The only other game I'm really excited for is Animal Crossing Switch (if we ever even get a release date for it) but I adore Sumo's racing games (especially SASRT) so I'm very hyped. I'm glad they gave it the extra time to fix bugs and other stuff, I just hope there's enough content in it for it to actually be considered an upgrade to SASRT and not a downgrade...

Welp https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/239377/b89b5e6f-adca-4e28-8a5d-dc3094deeab4/Jacket.jpg Sorry
I like Omega as the "tries his best" robot.
and don't have really corny one-liners as Sonic repeatedly proclaims he's the coolest thing in the world rather than showing it
Immediately throws me back to the line spoke by Shadow, of all things. "I'm the coolest." You guys need to hear it out to feel all the cheesiness of that quote. ... I wonder if "101 Cheesy Sonic Quotes 4" becomes a thing...
the best part is Shadow just randomly belts it out in the first rival fight when you hit him in the face, like just outta nowhere. I really wonder what the original japanese line is

Okay but when it does take itself seriously we can get Shadow the Hedgehog and his damned fourth Chaos Emerald.
Ok, now it's the perfect time to introduce a real talk I was meant to get out of my system for a very long time: I actually enjoyed Shadow the Hedhehog, to the point I still remember the character fondly. And I even played its Playstation 2 port, which wasn't exactly the roundest around the edges, to say the least. Granted, I was several years younger and before my taste in videogame recived a massive overhaul, but the whole choose-your-quest and branching levels mechanic, at a time were roleplaying videogames were pretty much unknown to me, and the opportunity to play as a basically self-serving asshole surely left quite the impression on me. Plus, some levels were actually quite fun to go through and provided quite the spectacle (Sky Troops and any mission taking place on the collapsing ARK immediately come to mind). I'll dig my own grave deeper still and say that it was also the only game from the Sonic franchise I actually played and finished
First time I played SA2 I was young enough to genuinely think Shadow the Hedgehog was the coolest fucking thing I'd ever seen which might explain why I like Reaper so much.
I wanna say it's probably intended to come off as him shrugging it off to go with his character, but the dub had no idea what they were doing. After all they had basically no context into what lines would go where for SA1 so we had things like Knuckles' "oh no" so it was probably a similar case with SA2 as well
The funny thing about Knuckles’ “Oh No” line is that it’s actually from the first take of the character. Michael McGaharn, Knuckles’ original voice actor for SA1, actually recorded two takes for Knuckles. The final version used the second take, while the first take was used in early localized versions such as the E3 demo of SA1. https://youtu.be/R3vNjTAyMC4 [5:40] https://youtu.be/7FPEtz-rC5s As you can tell in both videos, Knuckles’ voice sounds much more gruff and tougher than the final voice. And as you can tell at 1:56 of the second video, that is where the infamous “Oh No” comes from. The localization & voice direction for both SA1 & SA2 are a pretty big mess. Especially SA2 though.
its ok man, thanks for sharing. I mean its not so terrible. at least its not like you like chronicles.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKILRU1NMKc Trying to cook something up, but A.) it's tough finding exact loop points to work with in Audacity, so I definitely need to improve on that, and B.) I can't figure out how to get Nvidia Shadowplay to only capture the game screen, and not my taskbar too.
I unironically want Shadow to be ported to PC and Sonic Heroes' PC port to be re-released.
I just want Chao Garden: The Fully Fleshed Out Game
Consider me very much in the market for Sonic 1 & 2's Retrohancements to arrive on consoles & PC. As much as I'd love to catch up on the 18-20 years I've missed, I'd adore doing so with 16:9, bug fixes, rock-solid frame-rates and new features such as save states & special stage restarts (We can only hope SEGA will one day will let Mr. Whitehead dust off his Sonic 3/3&K retro-build proof-of-concept). Was there ever a reason provided as to why these didn't join Sonic CD's widespead platform releases? I've certainly never been able to come across one. And hey, why not Sonic Unleashed? At least for the opportunity to throw hardware at it until it runs at a stable 60fps (And easier to choose your regional voice cast, assuming that wasn't an option on console discs already). I'm one of those probably-crazy people that I'm surprised hasn't been asked "How did you play 154hrs of Battleborn? And why on Earth is it your 9th most played game on Steam??". The answer to both would be I actually had 4-5 friends to play it's co-op with, and we all liked it for largely the same reasons (Whilst giving it due flak for largely the same reasons). And hey, Enter the Matrix was pretty fun with cheats! Truthfully, I've made worse choices in games (I'm only thankful the foolish young lad I was had the ounce of wisdom to return/trade-in Bad Boys: Miami Takedown/Bad Boys II for Xbox rather than play it for more than 10mins, and it's not often I remember having done that neither).
here's an idea sonic game developed by the RGG team
I'm glad I'm not the only one who's been thinking that thought! For some time, I appealingly pondered "What if Sonic Team took a few notes from Ryu ga Gotoku Studio's way of doing things", if not trying to stop myself visualising a theoretical 'Sonikku ga Gotoku' by RGG Studio (Don't worry, I know how stupid 'Like a Sonic' would sound to anybody). Looking at the various hub-spaces Sonic games have had in the past, I couldn't help but think if they were doing this RGG Studio style, they'd be more comfortable giving the main experience a more focused approach while they'd be free to fill the ideally-non-mandatory hub-space with whatever crazier ideas they had (Or at least make something like a fishing trip ft. Big the Cat as a discoverable mini-game, or let sub-stories provide opportunities for more fruitful side-character appearances or cameos). Of course, no idea if the Dragon Engine can do "Sonic Speeds" or if the Hedgehog Engine's geared for hub-space shenanigans (Keep in mind while Ryu ga Gotoku is maintained on a modest budget, they had a very costly start & the games are thematically ideal to accept a lot of product placement), but RGG Studio certainly has quite the history from their Amusement Vision days (One VERY chief example comes to mind) & their continued games-arcade variety in their games, and/or Sonic Team could do with a layout to freely facilitate a wild spectrum of themes & tones as well as space to let a large cast breath. And in case anybody's wondering if RGG Studio's music team couldn't do fast like Sonic Team's regulars, this was Hidenori Shoji before Ryu ga Gotoku/Yakuza: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfcueookXUY
I'm shocked they haven't made a mobile game for it yet because it seems perfect
If they made a Dreamcast Classic, they could emulate VMU games in a phone app. Imagine the possibilities.

Looks like Lloyd moved on up in life from the dumber to a knockoff Star Trek convention. I thought this Eggman was gonna get some makeup or stylized thing, but if that's real then it's literally just Jim Carrey with a blatantly fake mustache and goggles.
Oh boy can't wait to see what Sonic's friends look like! inb4 he only got human allies.
Why does this (presumably ironic) fan made poster look better than that screenshot? https://i.imgur.com/xGkFOlg.jpg
Wohow they managed to be even worse than the fan-made short movie.

That makes '06 Eggman look good in comparison.
