Don't forget the drug trip/hallucinogenic levels on floating islands.
It's still better than Hours of Darkness. At least it has a fun plot and the main quest isn't just "go there and that's it". Plus the combat with gravity belt is quite enjoyable.
Oh my god Hurk fucking never shuts up
Yeah, I don't know where Ubisoft gets the idea that the fans love Hurk. I think this DLC is alright, but everytime there's some guitar riff or Hurk says something stupid, I just roll my eyes. "Dude, I lost my dick lol we gotta find it!" Fuck off, man.
Oh, I agree. I was kinda excited for the Mars DLC because I've been hankering for a space adventure, but I would've given them all up for some expansions to the actual game. These are all so tertiary and irrelevant to anything.
Also, I get the feeling that the story to the DLC was formed around a good relationship with Nick Rye and Hurk's voice actors more than anything. I prefer it to the bland nothingness of the Vietnam DLC at least.
I like how the aliens on Mars are literally just antlions from Half Life 2. They even come out and attack you if you step on the sand.
And there's bug bait to make them attack what you want.
Overall the mars dlc is way better than Hours of Darkness. I wonder how good the zombie dlc is gonna end up being.
The thing I'm most looking forward to with the zombie DLC is the user created levels. I'm tired of people making zombie maps with the angels. they suck.
Anybody know whats going on with the live events? I've been trying to keep up with them but I guess there isn't one now?
There wasn't one this week or last week. Seems they're going to restart on the 7th with reruns, though I don't know if their rerunning the rewards or just what you have to do. There's a place to vote for your favorite activities over on the official forums.
Yo question i havent played 5 in almost 3 months now i think, will all the weapons released via challenges be available except for the special skins?
I believe so. They release them all after the challenge is done, and there’s not a special “weapon acquired!” message, they’re just in the store, so I think you should be able to just get them like a normal weapon.
I just saw on the official forums that the game is getting a New Game + mode and scripting for Arcade maps today.

It might be too little, too late, I don't know, but this is all anyone has been asking for, for months now.
It should have been in the game to begin with.
Yeah I would have loved a new game + a month or two ago.
Maybe I'll still try it out, idk.
Looking forward to the zombies dlc, still sour about hours of darkness.
Hm I wonder what the reward is for beating Infamous.
Maybe a not shit ending? Nah, probably just a special outfit or retextured gun.
Beating infamous difficulty gives you the Rook deputy outfit. (basically just a green collared shirt with a badge, cuz I guess they thought people would be hyped over a sheriff outfit.)
The only perks you can upgrade are the Ammo/inventory perks and the companion perks. But you can upgrade all the ammo perks up to 50 times. Idk how you can get that many perk points without playing a shit ton of arcade, they don't reset challenges in NG+ so you don't get stuff like 3 points for 50 smg kills again.
Also, I didn't find any perk magazines in the first prepper stache I did so those might not have any if you've completed them already.
Soooo basically just one outfit and as much ammo as you want. Infamous difficulty doesn't feel any harder than normal so far, except enemy vision is a bit better.
I've got a shit ton of points from playing Arcade, so we'll see how that goes. The rook outfit is one people have been begging for since the game came out.
the Zombie DLC NPCs are in the map editor if you want to see what they're like before the DLC.
There's also a zombie wolverine and a zombie yeti. Alas, no zombie cow, unfortunately. Still, they brought it with this update. I've been playing with the scripting stuff in arcade for an hour or two, and there's a lot of stuff you can do with it (but again, there's a lot of stuff you can't, unfortunately.) The Blood Dragon set pieces alone will launch a hundred sci-fi maps, I'm sure.
Man, this zombie DLC really sucks. No new weapons, and really cringy writing. I don't even think I can finish this.
IF you do decide to finish, it won't take you long. I think it took me two and a half hours to do the whole thing, and I'm a pretty thorough explorer usually. I tried Score Attack mode a few times, but getting the best score didn't seem worth it based on how annoying the zombie enemies are, despite the fact that I'd kind of like to unlock some of the 3-star score stuff.
If they had made Far Cry 5 serious instead of "funny" it could have been such an amazing game.
So is that all of the dlc coming out? What's next? nothing? They are already repeating the weekly challenges so
That's probably it I imagine there will be at least one more update to fix bugs, and maybe do one last content dump for the Arcade. There may be some weekly events coming eventually, because there are a few more weapons added in the last patch which haven't been released yet.
This is actually an interesting question
https://www.reddit.com/r/farcry/comments/9f8mfi/so_what_happened_to_the_other_three_guns_for_hire/
Considering I barely use half of the Guns For Hire, having three more might not have been worth it.
The reddit thread suggests Zip, Merle, and a eagle, which would make sense, considering Zip and Merle seem like they're supposed to be more important than they are. The three other members of the sheriff department would've also made sense.
