this is much better imo, should've just put it in the game as their galaga remix
Honestly, I've never felt Corrin deserved their spot in SSB4 as DLC.
Corrin is the first time I ever went "Legitimately who the fuck is that"
corrin was the result of nothing more than advertising. intelligent probably approached sakurai and asked him to do it as opposed to sakurai having come up with it himself

I love these things, specifically because there's no meta yet and all these crazy matchups like Ness v Ridley happen.
Well, I mean, so was Roy...
"Hey Sakurai can we add another FE rep to advertise our game?"
"...kay"
Smash 6 is going to be nothing bu FE Reps calling it now.
I guess I too would have to complied, at least if I was held at gunpoint…
I can't possibly think of a way to bribe Sakurai, other than tell him he can work more hours for the same pay.
Pretty sure Sakurai already has a PS3.
It'd still be better than fe warriors
Smash 4 having more FE characters than Zelda fucking blows my mind. Let alone more unique characters. Like holy shit what happened!?
Ganon being a direct clone until Ultimate was fucking inexcusable. In Melee it made sense, he was essentially a bonus character. Not in Brawl, not in 4, and while he finally uses his sword in Ultimate.
He's still a fucking wizard that uses Captain Falcon as a base
Admittedly though - especially in Melee - they absolutely nailed the feeling of overwhelming power when playing as him, that immense satisfaction that accompanies every one of his moves.
There's just something that feels so good about being, or watching, a skilled Dorf.

jesus the end of that ike vs little mac match, that was ballsy.
Just now got around to watching bits and pieces of it, that Ness is fucking killer.
I think a Ganon is in a really weird spot at the moment. He's been the same for a long time, so I believe they don't want to chandelier him much from what he is because of people maining him. What they did in Ultimate was probably the best they could do without upsetting anyone.
Captain Falcon is just a clone of the scrapped Dragon King characters anyway.
Gimme a weakened smaller version of Tabuu as a fighter.
How out of nowhere would it be to have a Smash Brothers character as a Smash Brothers fighter?
I would sooner think that role should go towards Master Hand if they wanna go that route.
Master and Crazy Hand are extremely likely to reprise their roles in this game, though.
Tabuu has been a one-and-done thing. It'd be weird to find Master Hand using Master Hand.
I'd only like to see Tabuu brought back if he remains the villain of any future story modes. I feel like making him playable would be devaluing him. More than any Smash-original boss besides maybe Master Core, his best use is just being that ominous threat and I'm not sure he'd work in another role.
That being said, the Mii Fighters are actually considered Smash-universe characters instead of Mii-universe characters since they also act as at least Smash 4's Small-Fry Corps, so we technically already have playable Smash "original generation" characters (and a Small-Fry Corps at that). As for playable boss characters, what I was really hoping they'd do for the Wii U version of Smash 4 was a "one player as the hands" multiplayer mode, with that whole asymmetrical multiplayer angle the GamePad has. The guy with the GamePad uses its sticks and shoulder buttons to control each respective hand and everyone with other controllers tries to take them down. I thought that would've been a ton of fun, especially if the GamePad screen could've been used in some unique way or even just as the hand moveset reference. Lot of missed potential in general for using the GamePad in Smash 4 Wii U.
Of course, Masahiro also had Sigurd and Leif to choose between. Leif ended up becoming an alternate color for Marth.
Here's the real question though...
Who are the smash brothers? 🤔
It's Blue Mario and Orange Luigi
Yeah, the Smash Bros. name never really made any sense. Where did it even come from?
Even the Super Mario Bros. comparison isn't too prominent when you consider SSB64 initially wasn't even meant to leave Japan, and the Japanese name of SSB64 is - translated - Nintendo All-Star Battle Royale Smash Bros. You'd almost think they'd want to stop after "Battle Royale", considering that's what PlayStation did when they titled their game as an admitted homage to SSB64. Later games just got rid of the "Nintendo All-Star" prefix but kept "Dairanto" (Battle Royale) and so the series is known as Dairanto Smash Bros. in Japan.
So the "Super" bit was a Western addition while the "Smash Bros." bit had been part of the title since the beginning. But if the "Super" bit wasn't originally there to complete the shout-out to Super Mario Bros., why even it put in the "Smash Bros." part in the first place? They already had a full title with Nintendo All-Star Dairanto, which could've just been indeed localized as Nintendo All-Star Battle Royale.
