That stopped happening to me once I got a better CPU, maybe the game couldn't handle so many calculations at a time on my old one and figured it would be easier to make them fall through the ground
I've seen people with pretty beefy rigs watch their trucks and such be swallowed by the Earth, though.
https://youtu.be/ph3pVCuxPF0 Do they seriously think people forgot they were talking about this two years ago
And yet folks on their Facebook page are eating this shit up. Xoc keeps trying to allude that it's not the same-old, but the video clearly shows an HHO generator attached to that engine. Maybe something like this would be helpful if you found yourself short on Uranium on a planet loaded with ice, but outside of that I can't see many uses for it.
muffled "make the sandbox a game" in the distance
And the next update teaser isssss...! *drum-roll* ...Fucking nothing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfZmVdftT8k
Wow I can't believe they're adding space
Could be a survival scenario or random encounter. Lines up with what Marek said about making survival not crap.
Honestly, the best starts are always the crash landings where you have to cannibalize and prioritize. Something like hydroponics and seeds would add a whole new element. There are many ways this game can evolve to be better. The dream is of course some sort of massively multiplayer constant world of at least one hundred planets or whatever.
My survival game where we started with a fully kitted out battleship and then got our asses handed to us only got better after the fact. Taking out pirate bases with ship launched nukes is one thing, trying to stop your disabled dreadnaught from slamming into a planet using a repurposed mining drone is another thing entirely.
It doesn't sound impossibly far-fetched for a server cluster where each server contains a planet and it's moons. When you teleport away to another planet with the jump drive, you're shifted from one server to the other.
https://youtu.be/Q5pUUNHa7EM Could it finally be it??? A smaller battery block???
Oh finally, they're adding in more blocks that were done to death with mods years ago.
The only thing I really want are some smaller turrets that don't eat up all the space around them, and small ship doors.

Temperature indicator next to the O2 one Also the cockpit looks different but I'm gonna keep my expectations low and say the screens still aren't useable
I can't decide if it's a good thing they're only teasing small things - temperature, new sounds, yadda - or worried. Like, save the best for last and all.. but what if they're not
With their history of hyping up small quality-of-life features like they were expansions, I'm keeping my hopes low and expecting each "teaser" video to be the last before the update drops
*after releasing two more small teaser videos* "Greetings, Engineers! We are proud to announce our latest update, featuring new blocks, new challenges, and new featuers!" *divulges on features for 15 minuts* "Also we're out of money, k bai"
"Expect to see that and more in ✨ Space Engineers 2✨ coming TBD 2019"
The only feature that mattered is already long gone https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/211478/23cb9f9e-5eec-42c0-993c-5d83dee04876/aSyRcmI.gif

Tomorrow at 1PM EST there'll be a stream I guess. I'm half-in-half-out at this point, since all we've been shown are pretty lackluster blocks/block changes.
Adding new blocks like this is something I would've expected in the old weekly updates back during Alpha/Beta. Better late than never for a lot of them, but I'm still a little disappointed.
What if they're adding wind?
https://blog.marekrosa.org/2019/01/space-engineers-public-tests-for-major.html Here's hoping they're still saving the best for last?
So, what is the "Survival Kit" block that we saw?
The essential blocks are enabled from the start, the inaccessible blocks are greyed out. The groups of blocks can be unlocked when any of the required blocks are built by a player. Oof This sounds like it could be really annoying depending on how they implement it Imagine not being able to grind down your starter ship to build an ore detector because you need to make an antenna first or something
tbh, maybe that's not so bad a thing. I've played for 109 hours and only now am I discovering that the arc furnace is a thing.
it's boring
