Tempting! I refunded the game before I upgraded to 16GB Ram. Do you think I can handle the game with that? I run a gtx1060 3GB and a i4460.
Are you running 4K or 1080? I only have 8gb, gtx970 and and fx8350 and it’s running pretty fine on high/ultra on 1080p
1080, so I guess I should be fine.
The game can be a bit of a VRAM pig, if it's not running a solid 60fps you can drop MSAA and textures a bit and that should get you there. I don't recommend using "dynamic" settings, it creates weird dynamic pop-in.

I got a G27 and tried it with a bunch of games, including Horizon 4. I now get what people mean with how Horizon isn’t really meant for wheels. I tweaked it according to this guy’s tips

And it works pretty well. Atleast, up until you lose your grip and there is literally not a single thing you can do to catch your car.

Trying to be Gilles Panizzi.
Fuck sake
Just bought FH4 on the Microsoft store for £50 on PC, finished downloading and tried opening it up, came up with some error message asking me to sign in, go toy Xbox account, that's not letting me sign in either, and so is Forza hub
Took a look around the internet to find a fix, I find some prompts to put into powers hell to force the apps to reinstall, and the problem persists
I'm not fucking reinstalling windows for this, why does Microsoft have to be a pain in the ass with their games on PC
Don't fuck with UWP apps, or you will brick your store and effectively brick your windows install because that shit cannot be fixed. Ask me how I know.
Go into your windows settings, "Gaming" then "Xbox Networking", and make sure that everything is good there. You might have some sort of dumb NAT setup that breaks Teredo Tunneling. Also, if you use OOSU10 or any other tricks to kill windows telemetry, you may have inadvertently broke the means for Xbox, Forza Hub ETC. to communicate.
dunno if its what youre having problems with but i couldnt log into the regular xbox app on my laptop until i installed "xbox identity provider" from the store, that app is apparently for the actual login screen

My love/hate relationship with Project CARS 2 continues. I really disliked the AI in this game. Ever since they patched it several months ago, I thought they had broken it - single-file, follow the leader, no attempts at passing. This is largely true.
However, on some forum digging (the most convenient of sources, thanks SMS!), I found this post. So, going by those AI settings, I've been setting the AI a lot lower than I would have expected. I was running above 100 always; anywhere between 105 and 113. I've been preparing the game for some endurance races with family members that I'd like to do, so I wanted to see if I could make the AI do more than hotlap. Tonight I ran 85 skill and I'm pleased to say that the AI actually raced.
I played about a bit with their aggression, and I think they probably race better on lower aggression. I ran 13 aggression in the end after trying 60+. They raced side by side, they raced against me, they showed their nose in attempted passes, they got loose on the kerbs, they misjudged some corners, they got better exits on others. There were even times where I was attempting a pass and it forced the AI into passing a car in front of both of us. There also seems to be a greater variance in the AI's speed over the course of a race e.g. I had passed an Aston Martin GTE and had put a gap of several seconds on him as I was pursuing the cars in front, which I couldn't quite close with. The Aston suddenly came alive, passed me, then passed one of the other cars in front of me - this added nice flow, since I was then able to catch up to the group as they were fighting.
This was a WEC style multiclass race at Le Mans - I used the Custom Grid tool as well, btw, so there were more GTEs than either P1 or P2 than in the default game, so the racing wasn't just a product of traffic. There was still some single-file racing, but this is to be expected in any race, especially at Le Mans. But the important distinction is that this wasn't the sum of the race - the AI actually battled.
I'll still have to try more classes, especially single class racing with closely balanced cars like GT3 and I'm especially excited to try Group C and Group 5, both of which I thought raced pretty well even with the patch that broke the AI.
So tl;dr: try running AI between 80 and 90, experiment with low aggression, worked well for me in one scenario, so more testing needed.
Mitsubishi is back in FH4, I wonder what made them change their mind regarding games.
I don't have a clue what 00SU10 even is, I just ran the powershell command that basically re-installed Xbox and the Microsoft store, neither worked
Xbox doesn't sign in, it just straight away gives me a error when I load up the app, Forza hub is stuck on a cycling wheel without giving me a chance to load up.
can't seem to find gaming or Xbox networking on my laptop, had a look in firewall to double check and its all fine in there
checked out services and I can't seem to start some of the apps which are completely stopped on boot up, so I don't know if thats the problem.
found it needed an update, updated it but still not able to log into either xbox/forzahub/FH4
eugh, I thought buying it on the store, I'll just be able to run it through the store considering its already logged into the fucking account that I purchased it through on the store, but nope, got to go through loads of bullshit just to get a £50 game to work. really makes you appreciate steam a little more...
No Eclipse though. Shame.
there's a gen 2 though?
The only Eclipse that matters is in, the GSX. No facelift bumper but the F&F one is in.

Fixed it!
managed to find the applications on services wern't running, found a way of setting them so they start up manually and now xbox is running on my laptop, and now FH4 finally works
fucking finaaalllyyy
There is though?

damn no older evos or starion

The new Grand Tour Game looks rubbish. I don’t know how they thought such a game would be a good idea. Anything it can do, most other arcade-y series’ like Forza or even NFS can do better, and then some
Theres a let’s play of it on YouTube and not only are people defending it (probably only because of the hosts), but someone reckons this is literally the only fun racing game ever made

I'm surprised the likes of Clarkson may and Hammond actually approved of it, giving that they all have played a part in Forza in recent years, they must of knew that a Grand Tour game was just going to fall flat in sales and marketing, imho I just think it's a quick cash grab for the series
Dont know about that, it was probably rushed to coincide with the deadline of the new series, plus it kept the amazon games divison busy.
Bought that tiny little BMW thing
upgraded it so it does like 140mp/h in a straight line
this thing is fucking hilarious

i can't believe how far i've come
The PT Cruiser is still one of the most ugliest car I've ever seen, almost nearing the Fiat Multipla. In fact, it gave 4 year old me playing GT3 the impression that Chrysler made nothing but ugly cars for the next 10 years of the my life.
The PT Cruiser is ugly, but honestly, there’s a very unique kind of charm to its look. Especially the lines around the bonnet. Like a face that only a mother could love
