I've started watching formula E and it's surprisingly fun to watch, especially after the spanish F1 GP.
Looked into Official Formula E content and Rfactor 2 seems like the best one, but man oh man does this game have a lot of DLC and it's pricy. Does anyone have any experiece with rfactor and formula E stuff?
Haven't bought the FE stuff, but I'd wait for rFactor 2 to go on sale before you buy it. It's a really good sim, but there's performance issues, the visuals are dated and the UI isn't good. These are all areas that are due to be addressed this year, but the dev team's small, so expect that at the end of the year. From what I know of the FE content: the cars are really good, but you'll not have attack mode or fan boost (though arguably I'd say that's a good thing); there's only one official track, which was released with the previous cars - the other one they released was an FE-themed reskin of a mod track that's on the Workshop.

Looks good. Co-driver sounds a lot less jarring. Not a fan of the car sounds still. Stages look very impressive, though - WRC7's stages were good from a driving standpoint, and these look to be a major step up.
Got to spend 2 hours with ACC V1.0 some thoughts for anyone waiting for reviews.
I didn't think V1.0 was gonna be in a polished state, especially since every Early Access patch has had at least 3 hotfixes, going all the way up to 7.
Seems like I was right, the UI always looked very simple for functionality reasons but the career just takes the cake, I was lost after completing every test, even going as far quitting to the main menu because I couldn't find the "continue" button. I still have no idea what triggers the transition to the next test, but those are done and maybe I just have dumb dumb brain.
After the tests are done I select a car and off I go into my first race, and I got loaded into the wrong LOD town, every single asset in the pit lane was blurry and low poly. Probably an issue with the camera that spectates the pit lane when you're in the menu because when I started driving everything was fine.
The driving and the sound however are amazing, I really enjoyed the driving with my time with the cars I tried and they all felt different.
The most extreme example being the nervous and drive exactly how it needs to be driven princess that was the lambo compared to the stable brake hard and power out of corners no finess required bentley, what a lovely boat.
Haven't gotten much time to judge the AI yet, but they still seem to struggle on the rolling start but nothing major just be prepared for the occasional hard braking.
I think the best example of this game needing more time is that half the cars in the vehicle select are floating.

freecam works but no proper zoom n stuff yet, nürburgring is nicely detailed, nordschleife is somewhat there, stops short of döttinger höhe and goes almost to the bridge of hocheichen

Yo, there no excitement for Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fuelled, or is it all just realistic car sims here? I want to see more of the cartoony, sci fi-sorta racers.
Waiting on PC announcement personally, I couldn't give a shit about console exclusives when I don't own the platform.
