I've been playing a lot of Burnout Paradise (non-remake) lately on my GPD Win 2. This is just a fantastic arcade racer. Cars feel great to drive, and it's fun fun fun.
it's not a remake, it's literally just the same game with better textures.
"remaster" then. It also has some particle tweaks and stuff, according to the reviews.
Also it has Big Sur Island, which the original never got on PC. I really should get the mod that restores it.
Got an iRacing subscription this week, just did my first race and I won it! I went in not expecting anything so I'm pretty ecstatic.
IndyCar returns to Portland this weekend. Very stressful track to race around in these cars. You're on the limit of traction for most of the corners and there's no run off area to save you.

Looking over the leaked FH4 car list, I don't see a Volvo 122 Amazon on there. This is a disaster, as no racing game can be good without the mighty Lolvo. Is it coming as DLC later down the line, then?
Impossible to know exactly what cars will be in game or DLC from a leaked list, but it tends to be a good indicator.
Speaking of Forza Horizon 4, is their any interest in starting a Facepunch club once the game comes out? Certain new Forzathon events need multiple people, like the old Burnout Paradise challenges.

Yeah really not a fan of FH4’s car list. It looks almost identical to FH3’s list - except inclusion of Mitsubishi and Volkswagen being swapped around. I could only count about five brand new car models to FH4 (as in, 2017 and 2018 model years), of which I think most of them were included in FM7. And they keep on unnecessarily deleting models which appeared in past games.
Surely people must get sick of driving the same damn cars all of the time?

yeah the needless deletion of models (rip lolvo) just seems pretty arbitrary to me. I don't have massive objections to cars being put aside for DLC but it still kinda stings.
Probably for the same reason Toyota isn't in the game as well. All Mitsubishi make now is just uninspiring, boring SUVs, Crossovers and minivans now since they canned the Evo entirely in 2016. And whenever anyone talks about it, it'll always be about how much better the brand was previously and Mitsubishi most likely didn't like it.
Its probably true though, whenever I hear Mitsubishi, I think of Lancer Evolution, not crossovers or minivans.

I went and played it a bit, assists off except ABS. The handling model seems a lot more like FM than FH, you can't drive like a complete mong and still go fast, the game will punish you. I also have more than 360deg of steering on my G920 now, at least 540deg but that's just a guess. There is now adjustable vertical FOV for every camera view which is pretty sweet.
The map is super pretty and most of the roads aren't comically wide or overly straight/flat, just in the demo area there's lots of technical stuff that should be a lot of fun in MP. Unpaved roads are also narrower and full of bumps/ruts/imperfections to throw you off if your line isn't right. With any luck all-motor V12-swap A-class builds will fall out of fashion

playing the FH4 demo now, but I already pre-ordered the ultimate edition because i fucking love the Horizon games, and both FH2 and 3 had an incredible amount of content among all the DLCs. it feel really nice, a lot more in line with Motorsport as others have mentioned. went with the Audi as the starting car and immediately set off to find the edges of the map, had some good fun blasting around on the roads. so much for everyone complaining about a lack of tight paved switchbacky kind of roads when the map got leaked - there are loads in the demo, and the ones I've driven so far have been pretty good.
overall I'm looking forward to the 28th so I can start messing around with all different kinds of cars. i'm in on a FP club if someone wants to make one or I can make it or whatever, it doesn't really matter to me
