oh boy am I tempted to get the Ultimate edition. I've had FH3 buyer's remorse because it just didnt want to run on my PC, but the FH4 demo runs like a charm..
last time i bought deluxe and that is kind of worthless, ult def seems worth it for the expansions

It seems they corrected most of their shortcomings in FH4. Even on my aging 2500k - R9 390 rig, I can still pull 60 fps @ 1440p on High settings. Though from what I understand, there is a bug where foliage isn't being rendered correctly (its like its stuck on low), so that may change. Still, seriously impressive that it runs this well.
Also there seems to be a bias toward AMD hardware in performance in some benchmarks? Not sure if that's just a coincidence, but very unusual. The game doesn't seem to be sponsored by AMD.
it runs on DX12, i remember AMD to perform better on DX12
FH4 has to be one of the best PC ports this year. For real this shit is amazing.
I bit the bullet and got the ultimate edition after putzing about in the demo. The way it does the online meetups is super Burnout Paradise and I LOVE IT

It's ran flawlessly so far for me. My only issue with the game in terms of performance/stability is that for some reason the game doesn't launch when Afterburner or RTTS is open.
Wish there was a button to add all DLC cars to my garage though, adding each car individually took like 30 mins
I'm glad is doesn't as well. But you've only got play for an hour or so and you've picked up loads of cars. I played for a few hours yesterday, have nearly 30 cars and over a million banked.
The only car I've bought is the Unimog and that was just for fun
Does it run better than FH3 because I think I had some performance issues but I not sure it that was because it was a hefty game.
The demo ran perfectly on my machine, more consistent frames than FH3. I unfortunately have to wait until at least 10/5 to grab the full game because life is expensive
It ran better than FH3 for me. I even went back after the demo and noticed I was getting significantly less frames on FH3. They did an amazing job.
This is great, I'm going to download the demo.
With any luck I might actually buy this one.

I can confirm FH4 being optimised extremely well, been playing it on my R5 1600/RX 480 machine and it runs like a dream, on Ultra/1080p.
My buddy is trying to play the demo and it crashes after the splash screen. Does anyone have a solution?
Disable anything that might try to hook into the game, Afterburner, RTTS. Basically anything with an overlay.
Based on what I understand, it will set off the anti cheat measures and it won't launch.
I've been having a lot of fun with Horizon 4 over the weekend. But it's got some issues with steering wheels atleast on the xbox.
Deadzone adjustments for pedals aren't working, so if you've a stiff clutch pedal you'll be crunching gears alot. And if you're using an h-shifter there's an observable delay between putting the controller into gear and the gear changing in game, meaning you have to hold the clutch for about half a second after you've changed gear to avoid a crunch, by which time the engine speed has dropped below the road speed.

I really hope the patch the engine notes. So many of these are so much worse than in FH3. They've ruined all the GTRs and a lot of cars with unique sounds in FH3 now have copy pasted sounds. Why?
