Friend wanted to show me a trick and man, I was not ready for this.
P50 is the choice of rad dads.
Pagefile should be x1.5 the size of your physical memory, also sounds like you're running it in single channel not dual channel which will cripple it even more.
Also beater bomb GTS.

Fun fact just apply the blur, hide the UI and you can get 1440p + quality screenshots without the wayermark. Use Nvidia or your screen capture of choice.
Aware of that, just couldn't be fucked to turn off the fps overlay so just used the ingame method.
I'm a retard, I have two sticks but yeah 532mhz doesn't sound right. What do I do
It's DDR, so it's actually 1066MHz. Still really slow nowadays. I didn't even know they made DDR3 that slow anymore.
That's just O.G. DDR3, shit's old. Plus 8GB is barely enough these days, if you have an SSD with plenty space try putting your pagefile on it, that could help.
It's a shame the draw distance is bugged on PC hope that gets sorted soon
You think I have old 8GB RAM and a 280x, but have an SSD? :P
Nah, I'm still stuck with old HDDs. Game is superb though.
Sadly had to refund FH4 untill I get a PC upgrade. I'm running an i5-4460 8GB ram and a GTX 1060 3GB. The stutters are just.. unplayable. I didn't have any during the tutorial part of the game but when you're able to play online the stuttering get's unplayable
I recreated Eddie's Skyline from NFS Underground

So I'm running a 1060 3GB, i5 7500, and 8GB DDR4 2400mhz RAM (I just ordered another stick finally, so 16 soon).
Getting just ASS performance, really bad stuttering, world not loading in time, short freezes, completely unplayable, outside the RAM, anything that could be causing that, or anything I can change to get better performance?
@Rastadogg @Dr.Awesome I have an i5 3470, XFX 280x and really slow 8GB DDR3 RAM. I've had a lot of stutters too but i've found that closing down background processes really helps. Maybe it's cause i'm running it on an HDD, maybe it's just placebo, but terminating basically anything that wasn't really necessary (ShareX, Discord, Wallpaper Engine etc.) made the game run really well. Have yet to test for extended periods of time though,
I'd let you know how my game runs but my internet sucks too bad that downloading another 60GB on my pc is not worth it, takes too long
It kind of sucks that you can't willingly change seasons in solo mode. I hope this gets added in later.
Didn't help a whole lot. I'll report back once my RAM is here. Next thing I'm doing after that is buying another HDD and an SSD.
god this game is ridiculously pretty

FH4 makes this FM4 car model look good still, despite visible polys inside. T10 pls gib 1998 S/V70R, or a P2R.

I've been getting a lot of luck with the wheelspins as well. Two FEs and like five legendaries thus far. I also love how much of a douche you can be:

My forza game freezes constantly
It was fine the day I bought it, I played it 6 hours straight.
Now it's done after 2-5 minutes.
Could be the new driver?
specs? my friends with HDDs and 8GB report stutters everytime they go fast or generally moving
Turns out it happens when I run the game with all the settings maxed out, which is weird because it ran fine.
Must be running out of VRAM on my 1070 or something
I'm running it maxed out on a R7 2700X and GTX1080 8GB with 16GB RAM with no issues except for a freeze at the Festival site last night.
https://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/software/forza_horizon_4_pc_performance_review/ - OC3D did some thorough benching here.
I've noticed a trend with all the folks having performance issues, they're all on low-ish clocked 4c4t CPUs with 8GB RAM and a low VRAM GPU. The game likes VRAM a lot so if you're short in that department, try cutting heavy VRAM users like textures and MSAA.
OC3D showed that 1% lows fall off pretty hard with <8 CPU threads, so that's probably a factor in slowdowns/stutters. Pop-in problems (and stutter to an extent) are probably a combination of slow I/O and low memory, so not only does the drive have to read the game's data it's also reading/writing the pagefile, this is extremely slow on mechanical HDDs. Having the game and PF on an SSD would help, but so would having a surplus of memory. Those with 8GB system memory can probably get away with it by closing all background BS and using Win10s 'game mode' but that's just a band-aid.
Everyone's system is different so there's probably no universal fix, I recommend changing 1 or 2 settings at a time so you get a better idea of how each affects your system.
Yeah it's not really a problem anymore, on ultra it doesn't freeze. I've got a i7 9700k so CPU performance definitely is not the issue here.
Only when I put the advanced graphical options on Extreme it occurs, so I'm fine keeping it like that.
unless you play on 4k res you will not even get close to run out, i use about 5-6gb of vram at 1080p on extreme settings
when the fuck am I gonna get my beloved Mazda 3 back
Anyone?
